How much does an oil change cost?

BEWARE, we were billed $1450 for an oil change, fuel filter change and a Transmission fluid change. WAY overpriced, many bad reviews about the double or even triple cost from other diesel mechanic businesses. Very rude owner with passive aggressive… Read more

They practiced good communication during the process with parts that were delayed due to the Christmas season. I will be returning with any transmission issues I have and would highly recommend. Honest, respectful, and good communication.... Best experience I've had with a shop. I have had many engine swaps, rebuilds and transmission replacements over the last 20 years as I've taken keeping up as a hobby. I've had my rounds a few shops. This one is getting my business every time.

I had my Ford Ranger automatic transmission rebuilt at Valley Transmission approximately 25K miles…read moreago and have now experienced multiple parts failures the most recent being the input speed sensor (the manual lever position sensor failed right after the rebuild was completed). I was informed by an employee at Valley Transmission that they had used Chinese parts to do the rebuild. For $3400 dollars I was expecting OEM parts so this came as a total surprise to me. As far as I can tell the work done by the Valley Transmission mechanic was solid but the Chinese parts used in the rebuild are of inferior manufacture and the warranty is expired so I am now left $3400 poorer with a nonfunctional vehicle. RESPONSE TO VALLEY TRANSMISSIONS RESPONSE: Sheryl, It doesn't matter where they were purchased from. I was informed by a Valley Transmission employee that they were Chinese manufactured parts. With multiple failures (one right after the rebuild) the parts used in the rebuild are clearly of inferior manufacture.

From start to finish the team over at Lake Street was friendly and open about everything they were doing and found on my vehicle. The communication in this shop was so refreshing and the prices were VERY fair. No offense to my old guys but I'm pretty sure I just found my new regular shop! Thanks Lake Street, we will definitely be back!

Mechanic was absent on vacation for days so had to wait. Diagnostics showed cracked reservoir and said all belts and hoses were good. Mentioned a few unrelated items to someday be addressed. First day after repair the AC no longer worked! It worked great up until bringing it in! Brought it back but shop was closed at 4:00. They told us we now need a new AC compressor. Didn't do that repair due to high cost. Upon driving car for 10 minutes, it overheated and made a loud whining noise! Brought it back again. They said Serpentine belt was shredded. It worked fine before and initial diagnostic said belts & hoses were good. I called and got my head bit off by owner while trying to understand WHY all of a sudden these things were going wrong since bringing it there! She talked over me and argued. I asked her to just replace the belt so we could be done. I offered to pay half of quote to meet them halfway. She did take care of it after making me feel bad and it seemed they just wanted to be rid of us because we wouldn't be doing anything big like a compressor change. As much as I like their convenient location (Valley), I doubt we'll return.

I wanted to have a wrap job done on my Jeep. This place was recommended by a friend and I did my…read moreresearch and could not find anything bad about them online. When I first got the quote from them they told me they would need my vehicle for 4 days. I told him what color I wanted and a week later he asked me what color I wanted. It hadn't even been ordered yet. So many details I could go into, but that would make this review 25 pages long. Instead of 4 days, it took 6 weeks. They acted like I shouldn't be upset about that, not having my vehicle for 6 weeks. They kept making mistakes. They kept having to repair flaws of theirs. They kept telling me it was done then when we would show up it was either not put back together yet, or there was some flaw he wanted us to bring it back for. They gave us $1000 discount for the trouble. Then when we paid and got the invoice and my car, I emailed him and let him know there were a few flaws still on the vehicle and that he had charged me $300 more than the quoted price for the door jams. Then he emailed me and told me this job should have been $4000 more than the quoted price and threatened to charged me the $1000 that he discounted us. I have checked with their competitor and the job would NOT have been $8000. He was upset that it took them 6 weeks . They had plenty of time to fix things and get it done right the first time, it was their choice to keep trying to slide things by me. We are 1 month into winter and the vinyl is pulling away at areas on the vehicle and chipping. Horrible job!!!!!! Do not go here!!!!!
