The owner Chad answered the call and was very patient listening to my explanation of the problem. He clearly knew what was needed and we scheduled a day and time. The day before our scheduled appointment I asked Chad if he would be able to replace my garbage disposal, no problem. I took a picture of the existing disposal and sent it to Chad. Chad arrived on time and I appreciated his assessment and on what would be done. He installed the pressure regulator with copper piping and recommended if I would like to have a water outlet installed. Great location Great idea! Chad also replaced an old hose bibb valve that was stuck to the hose. The garbage disposal installation went well and his assistant showed me where the reset on button is located as well as what to do if the blades are jammed. I highly recommend Plumbing Kings Hawaii because they are reputable, honest and reliable. Chad has immense knowledge and expertise in the business beyond his years. Of course, I did not call Steve's Plumbing back. I gave 535 Plumbing a call and they were fantastic. Not only did they come out quickly to my home but they were very reasonably priced. I understand Steve's Plumbing works on commission so they charge a lot. 535 Plumbing charges a flat rate which is fair to the customer. My wife and I are retired so keeping expenses under control is important to us. 535 Plumbing sent two people to my home. Both were very nice and were very thorough to insure the install was done correctly and nothing was leaking. Thanks 535 Plumbing. I will be using again for any future plumbing needs I may have.

Unreliable at sticking to scheduled appointments…read more I'm a resident manager at a high rise. I just referred this company to one of my tenants. I used them a few times in the past and they were good. One of my tenants scheduled with them to repair an actively leaking angle valve. It was scheduled 5 days in advance. 535 just canceled the appointment the next day claiming that they don't have the part, and they don't know when they can find it. This excuse as pure bs. It's a common angle valve. I could go up to the hardware store right now and pick one up. If you need a plumber that will stick to their scheduled appointments, 535 isn't it. If you are a building manager, do not recommend to your tenants, they will only make you look bad.

Jethro said it's better if I come by and take a look. "No thanks. I'm not paying for any 'estimate trips' to the house," I told him. He said no problem. No charge... and I can stop by now if that' OK. Wow, how about that for service. So, he comes to the house, we talk about the job and he gives us several options on how to best do the work along with the price. That was Tuesday. On Thursday, he arrives at eight o'clock and starts work as agreed. We could see from the very beginning that Jethro takes a lot of pride in his work and does it with a smile. Very exacting, measuring everything as he goes, and he makes sure everything is perfect before he moves on to the next step. How many workmen do that today? Not many. He cleaned up everything as he worked and there was no mess when the job was finished. We can't remember the last time we were so satisfied and we actually gave him a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream and a bottle of liquor brought back from a vacation in Latvia to say "thank you for a job well done". It was that simple and quick. His wife and his niece was there as well. His wife got a quote on multiple stores for parts within minutes, his niece was there to assist Wes. Day of our appointment Kristian contacted me to inform me he had a previous appointment rescheduled by a client and asked if he could start the job earlier which worked out great for me. After the job was complete he showed me the completed work and walked me through how to use the new isolation valve he had installed. From my initial inquiry for an estimate to project completion was less than three calendar days. Finding a business that provides a timely estimate for a project and follows through by doing what they say when they say they will do it is exceedingly rare in 2026. Rance provided a reasonable quote for the repair, clearly explained the possible risks involved so we could make an informed decision, and communicated professionally throughout the entire process via FaceTime and video/photos for the finished work.
