My electric water heater (w/h) stopped working, no hot showers! Searched Yelp for a plumber that could provide prompt & quality service. Selected Shoreline Plumbing, and Naomi, their friendly receptionist gave me an appt for the next day. Received notice the next day that the assigned plumber had a family emergency & would need to reschedule 2 days later. Totally understand family emergencies happen, but I asked if they could still send another plumber to diagnosis and/or fix the w/h. Duke came & quickly identified an electrical short. I approved a new replacement, which he scheduled the next day. (He also helped turn my main water knob back on. He is strong!) Brandon came to remove the old w/h and came back with a new one. Living in an apartment or condominium, the worst nightmare is water leaks. Whether it's water coming down from the ceiling, or receiving a complaint from the unit below. It's stressful, especially when you're the one being complained (and blamed) on as if you're pouring water down on purpose. Emergency plumbing repairs is not as easy to find as you might think even though that service is offered on their websites with some offer "24-hour same day service". I've called many companies who are either: fully booked, earliest was the following week, actually don't offer the service, short staffed, or didn't return my call. Shoreline was one of a few who answered my call. A kind lady took down my info and the issue. Not too long after that, a gentleman returned my call and scheduled me for the following day, which was great! And a huge relief! Paul was the plumber who I was in contact with and came to find the issue, which was a cracked tub drain pipe, and fixed everything in a decent amount of time. I've used shoreline a few times and usually they are good. This time, I asked for a shower valve to be replaced. The owner came out looked at what was needed, and said he would get the part and come back. A few days later another employee came and said he needed to see what part was needed. I told him the owner already came and looked at it. He said he would talk to the owner and come back with the part. nobody ever came back to fix the shower at all. They just forgot about me. Very communicative by sending multiple texts letting me know the time frame they'd come and then again when they were on their way. Duke came out, diagnosed, and fixed the problem! Shoreline Plumbing did a great job at less than a third of the cost of a competitor. Our toilet was smelling bad any I though that the bottom seal was leaking, so I removed the toilet. It turned out that the flange going into the floor was cracked and needed to be replaced. I sent Shoreline a photo of the flange and they quoted $375 to fix the flange and re-install the toilet. We had another company come by and they quoted $1125 for just fixing the flange (not installing the toilet). We hired Shoreline and they did an excellent job at the price they quoted. Shoreline were responsive when I contacted them, and followed up to make sure my questions were answered. They did a free onsite assessment with the appointment scheduled very quickly, and communicated clearly via text about technician (Duke) arrival, estimate generated etc. I had been without hot water for several days so they even managed to schedule me on a Saturday, which was so helpful. Mahalo to the lady on the phone whose name I didn't catch! The technician who did the install (Evan) arrived on time, was very professional and did a great job. He explained all the steps, did a thorough job with the installation, installed a new valve just for my unit so we no longer need to turn off water for everyone, and was very nice about the particular requirements like "don't scratch the new hallway paint job or the HOA will be angry". What I thought was a simple maintenance issue with my solar water heater turned out to be a complete replacement of my 120 gallon solar water heater! I called several companies to come check and for an estimate. Only one came right away! This was Shoreline Plumbing. Paul came out as scheduled and assessed the situation and also educated me on how a solar water heater works and maintenance homeowners should do (e.g. flushing your water heater annually). I called for my neighbor's clogged toilet and within a few hours they arrived so that was great! It turned out to be much more than a plugged toilet though! Her pipe was clogged almost all the way to the sidewalk in front of her house! The plumber managed to clear the pipe after a lot of work and it didn't cost her a pretty penny like I thought it would. My brother had Shoreline Plumbing replace the plumbing under the double-bowl kitchen sink with no garbage disposal back in February 2025. One person came to do the job, and the labor cost was $235, which I thought was very reasonable. I have a similar kitchen sink setup (I live next door), and Shoreline Plumbing came in June 2025 to do the same job plus replace the two basket strainers. The threads on one of the basket strainers broke off. This basket strainer had a little rust, but the other one was in good shape. There were no stuck nuts. This time, two plumbers came, but only one of them did the job. Everything went well, and the basket strainers were quickly and easily replaced. I was taken aback to see that the labor charge was $375. There was already a separate line item for the cost of the basket strainers. I called John, the owner, and told him my brother paid $235, and I did the same job plus replaced the basket strainers, but the additional labor cost was over 50% ($140) of the $235 for replacing the plumbing under the sink. He told me that part of the cost was to cover any leak damage to the sink cabinet. Huh??? Or could it be because two plumbers showed up and both had to be paid??? It required digging a trench about 18 inches deep to access the old pipe which no longer drained the shower. PVC pipe has replaced it. John also gave me the names of a demo company to tear out the shower initially and a tiler to put in new walls and floor. They returned after the tiles were in and put in the shower fixtures. They came in to remove the toilet so the drywall behind it could be replaced and again the next day to replace it. John and the others were all very patient with me and all my questions. read more

OMG!! These guys are great. They came over to the house IMMEDIATELY (like within 2 hrs) when I called them to replace faulty valves in our laundry area that Best Buy said we need to replace before they can do our washer/dryer change out. As long as we had plumbers coming to the house, I asked them to fix a cold water plumbing fixture in the lower apartment area that has been messed up for over 3 years (work done by handyman vs a real plumber and since no one is living there, I have been negligent on fixing it until now). Called Shoreline Plumbing this morning, initially speaking with John about my issue. He said he could probably come by today or tomorrow and we set up a time. Then got a text from Paul who requested some add'l information, and he was able to come by within 90 min of my call. It was an easy fix for them, but when something is wrong with plumbing or electrical issues, I leave it to professionals to handle. Paul quickly fixed my shower temperature valve, in two shower areas, making sure everything worked correctly before leaving. Despite how busy they are, these folks are fast, efficient, and very easy to work with. Communication is excellent, pricing is VERY reasonable, and overall customer service is top notch.
