The "issue" he diagnosed wasn't even the actual issue. It was a bad wire, and clogged drain. Not a thermostat. Had we listened to him, we would have paid close to $1,000 and still not have had the answer. The tech was the one "freakin" on his so called diagnosis and pricing. Only call these guys if you want a tech that's doesn't actually care and treats you like a bad mechanic only there for the upsell. Editing to reply to the owner: I have no interest in training your technician how to not be a slime ball. You need to teach your techs how to be honest and more detailed, not just jump to the incorrect conclusion because it's a hot day. I know it was hot. I was the one suffering in my horribly hot house. The thermostat that he said needed replacing is working perfectly well. We had a neighbor with HVAC experience figure out the problem. Pretty bad when someone who left the business 10 years ago was better at the job than your paid tech. Even worse- me and ChatGPT figured out the clogged drain part. And I am not a handy person. If AI can do a better job than your technician- that's saying a whole hell of a lot.

I received a text message introducing my technician when he was on his way. Preston A. showed up with a big smile and laid out a mat on my front porch. He explained what to expect and got right to work. While he was working, I asked him a dozen questions, and with a ton of personality, he took the time to answer each one. If an explanation was needed, he provided it. After replacing the air filter and closing everything up, he offered a coupon for a free tune-up in the fall! I'm sure this isn't always the case, but what great customer service! There were no big upsells, and the price was as advertised. It's nice to get what you expect these days because every company seems to be trying to upsell everything and get you to buy things you don't need.
