After treatment the clinic culture is to get the patient taped up (mummified, if you will), up and out of the chair with as much haste as possible sometimes still hemorrhaging at cannulation sites and quickly, while not adhering to proper cleanliness and disinfecting practices, wipe down chair and machine and promptly slam another body into the still warm chair in order to commence another dialysis treatment. This occurs within 15 min of disconnecting the previous patient whom is not even out of the door. The clinic operates from 3:30 am to 9:30 pm, 6 days out of the week. The only thing these people care about is money, that is the bottom line. However it should not be so when patient care is at stake. Inept, incompetent and inexperienced Techs and Registered Nurses work in a virtual employee revolving door practice due to substandard pay rates. Inferior and deficient medical equipment and supplies, non existent Admin and upper management, inadequate staffing of rolling shift positions, all of which mandate and promote a non-chalant company culture and attitude in regards to patient care. Approximately 2 in every 1,000 Americans require dialysis to continue life. These statistics are a catalyst to the astronomical financial plunder from governmental medical aid programs, health insurance companies and dialysis patients. Precedence is therefore dictated over the welfare of the dialysis patient. My expert analysis of the Fresinus clinic is earned from being an in-center hemodialysis patient for approximately 18 months and recently switching my care to another dialysis clinic. The only true patient care exhibited at Fresinus are the care posters which litter the interior clinic walls. After experiencing three dialysis treatments during the past week, the two facilities are literally like night and day.

My technician, Ray P (?) Is the best for a lady like me who has shied away from needles all my life. He is so patient with me to the point that I get uncomfortable with other staff members when he is away. Of course the other staff are wonderful too.....my RN, Kim, Mona and Mildred and the other Techs, Mike and Gracie take very good care of me during my weekly visits. Thanks Burbank Dialysis for employing a wonderful staff! One more note....Janice, the Social Worker there is stellar. She is so knowledgeable and informative. My review is specifically for the ER department…read more I truly try to be understanding because I know hospitals are understaffed, overwhelmed, and the staff deals with difficult situations every day. I've always remained polite and patient during my visits. But after multiple experiences here, I honestly feel like something needs to be said. Every single time I've come to this ER, the wait has been excessive -- usually 7+ hours just to be seen or placed in a room, followed by several more hours waiting for updates or care once inside. I understand emergencies happen and patients are prioritized by severity, but the overall experience feels extremely disorganized and lacking compassion. The waiting room is consistently dirty and overcrowded, with visibly sick people sitting for hours without updates. What bothered me most, though, was the attitude from some of the staff at the front desk. Patients and family members asking simple questions are often spoken to like they're inconveniencing the staff just for needing help or clarification. During my most recent visit, I spent nearly 10 hours there before eventually deciding to decline admission and go home. I was placed in a room without a pillow or blanket and asked three separate times for a blanket, but was ignored each time. No one expects perfection, especially in a busy ER. But basic compassion, communication, and respect should still exist. People come to the emergency room scared, sick, in pain, and vulnerable. The way patients are treated matters just as much as the medical care itself. I genuinely hope this department improves, because no patient should leave feeling dismissed, ignored, or like they were a burden for simply needing medical help.

I asked several times to please accommodate my mom in the morning between 9-10am since she's 85 with dementia and at noon its very hard to get her out of the house since she naps after lunch and hates to leave the house. She would tell me she would get back to me and never does. I have to be looking for her yet doesn't get back to me with any answers. Very unhappy with this kind of service. I might end up switching my mom to a private facility where they're more than happy to accommodate her.

My mom went to both Dr. Shah and Dr. Haggiagi and neither of them were able to help her with her high blood pressure that would even rise to 200+, intense swelling, coming out of dialysis she felt absolutely horrid. Then Covid hit. At this time her doctor was Dr. Haggiagi and he became completely unavailable. We couldn't even get an appointment by phone. My mom was feeling her worst with no doctor's help. Even when she went in feeling very hot the nurses started scaring her that she had menopause. She only just turned 50. At the new center we found out the machine's have the ability to control the temperature! Why didn't this center help her with the temperature settings? After weeks of the pressure passing 200 and no doctor's help because the doctor was unavailable, but mother ended up needing to go the hospital in emergency. She went into cardiac arrest and had water in her lungs. Her heart stopped. She was intubated and was on sedatives for days before they took out the tube. She literally almost died. The doctor's Dr. Shah and Dr. Haggiagi and the center almost killed my mom because they couldn't treat her. I found her a new doctor and a new center. Her blood pressure is NORMAL and NO swelling. She comes out of dialysis feeling normal. Dr. Shah and Dr. Haggiagi and this center failed my mom. I do not recommend this place in the least bit.

I went in for dialysis on Tuesday…read more(not to mention they were extremely short staffed) The facility administrator was so very disrespectful and she didn't mind the isolation room door to be wide open and i saw bugs on at least three other people... Anyway not the point really, i just wanted everyone to know that i came home with bed bugs from Davita... FIX THE SYSTEM that is disgusting.
