This Facility and its Staff are so Outstanding that I am half-tempted to Gate Keep how Wonderful…read morethey are, lest they become too Overpopulated with this Review. In Los Angeles, you have to pretty much roll up Dead or Close to Dead for anyone in Urgent Care/ Emergency/ ICU to even Talk to you. I Legit called 911 at the Request of my Friends and Family who live Outside of L.A., (where Doctors and Nurses actually take a look at you before you Kick the Bucket) and the Paramedics told me they would basically be an Expensive Uber while I Wait Forever since my Head was not Bleeding Out. Thanks to the world of Yelp Reviews, (and my Intimate Knowledge of L.A. County) I found the Sanctuary that is Providence Saint Joseph's in Burbank, open 24-7. No Sooner had I handed the Admissions Nurse my Registration (my Rear literally landed for 2 Seconds on my Comfy Seat in a very Sparsely Populated ) than another Nurse called me into a Room with a Doctor overseeing from his Computer. They took my Vitals and ran a Preliminary Diagnostic within minutes before I was promptly sent to get my Bloodwork done. I didn't even have time to Sit before I was called in for my Bloodwork, which was over and Done with Lickety Split before sending me back to my Comfy Chair back in the Lobby. This is where the actual Waiting happened, where as I was told by the Hematologist would take the Lab about 1.5 hours to get the Results. Fortunately, having experienced the Nightmare that is an L.A. Emergency Room on one other occasion, I brought a Book. By the time I finished said Book once Hour 2 Rolled around, I started getting Antsy and asked the Admissions Nurse how much Longer it would be. She said the Lab Work had come in, they were just waiting for a Room to see me in now. Moments later, I was called in. The next Doctor reassured me that there were no Blood Clots, Liver, or Heart Failure... the Bilateral Swelling in my Feet was the Result of a Reaction to a Brown Recluse Spider and several Mosquito Bites, for which he Prescribed me some Steroids from the nearest 24-7 CVS that made the Swelling go away within 2 Days. The only Downside of this place is that it has a Mandatory $10 Parking Lot, which is absolutely Nutty considering it is Mostly Empty for Several Floors. Like, C'mon. That's Ridonkulous. But aside from that BS, the Facility is as Extremely Clean as it is Comfortable, and the Staff is as wicked Friendly as it is Efficient! 3000 Stars!!!

My review is specifically for the ER department…read more I truly try to be understanding because I know hospitals are understaffed, overwhelmed, and the staff deals with difficult situations every day. I've always remained polite and patient during my visits. But after multiple experiences here, I honestly feel like something needs to be said. Every single time I've come to this ER, the wait has been excessive -- usually 7+ hours just to be seen or placed in a room, followed by several more hours waiting for updates or care once inside. I understand emergencies happen and patients are prioritized by severity, but the overall experience feels extremely disorganized and lacking compassion. The waiting room is consistently dirty and overcrowded, with visibly sick people sitting for hours without updates. What bothered me most, though, was the attitude from some of the staff at the front desk. Patients and family members asking simple questions are often spoken to like they're inconveniencing the staff just for needing help or clarification. During my most recent visit, I spent nearly 10 hours there before eventually deciding to decline admission and go home. I was placed in a room without a pillow or blanket and asked three separate times for a blanket, but was ignored each time. No one expects perfection, especially in a busy ER. But basic compassion, communication, and respect should still exist. People come to the emergency room scared, sick, in pain, and vulnerable. The way patients are treated matters just as much as the medical care itself. I genuinely hope this department improves, because no patient should leave feeling dismissed, ignored, or like they were a burden for simply needing medical help.

My mom went to both Dr. Shah and Dr. Haggiagi and neither of them were able to help her with her high blood pressure that would even rise to 200+, intense swelling, coming out of dialysis she felt absolutely horrid. Then Covid hit. At this time her doctor was Dr. Haggiagi and he became completely unavailable. We couldn't even get an appointment by phone. My mom was feeling her worst with no doctor's help. Even when she went in feeling very hot the nurses started scaring her that she had menopause. She only just turned 50. At the new center we found out the machine's have the ability to control the temperature! Why didn't this center help her with the temperature settings? After weeks of the pressure passing 200 and no doctor's help because the doctor was unavailable, but mother ended up needing to go the hospital in emergency. She went into cardiac arrest and had water in her lungs. Her heart stopped. She was intubated and was on sedatives for days before they took out the tube. She literally almost died. The doctor's Dr. Shah and Dr. Haggiagi and the center almost killed my mom because they couldn't treat her. I found her a new doctor and a new center. Her blood pressure is NORMAL and NO swelling. She comes out of dialysis feeling normal. Dr. Shah and Dr. Haggiagi and this center failed my mom. I do not recommend this place in the least bit.
