Stuart just finished painting the exterior of my house. I closed on the house a few months ago and wanted to protect my investment. The house is a 70 year old cottage in mid-town with shingles, batten board, and stucco. He also painted fences and resurfaced a stucco wall. The house looks like new after Stuart finished with it! The amount of time he and his team spent on prepping was amazing. He found multiple issues passed over by inspectors. I know what to look for, and Stuart had the experience and skills to quickly determine what I needed. His crew promptly came at the time of month we decided on. His crew was on time every day and did excellent prep work. The attention to detail I would have done had I had the time (or experience). The end result - a superior paint job with no surprises. I recently hired grant Dawson and team to do the painting they advice 5 days work so I booked a hotel and add later another day just in case The work was finished in 3 days without letting me know and received a call on day 4 the work is finishing around 2 o clock so come to check at 11clock no one was there . later I called him found some gaps and some corners paint missing which was done by him After two days I found one of the wardrobe Missing paint from the top & underneath I rang him thinking he may miss painting to wardrobe but surprised he was aware off painting not done . My question was why he missed it when actually quoted and also explained verbally to do it . So my advice please make a checklist list and recheck everything is done as you asked for . I called Mr. Dawson toward the end of 2017, requesting an estimate on painting the interior of my house. Because I had an upcoming surgery scheduled, he said he would call me after the New Year, which he did. In the meantime, I had hired another painting service. With this other painting service, I entered into one of the worse working relationships that I have ever encountered. This other painting service left my house a complete mess and was very unprofessional in just about any verbal interaction we had. When Mr. Dawson called me back, I was in the midst of severing ties with this nightmare painting service; he apologized for not getting back to me sooner. I was frazzled and emotional and I told Mr. Dawson everything that I had been dealing with thus far with this other painting service. Mr. Dawson was so kind to listen to me. He was very encouraging and said I was handling everything right. I needed a painter for some new deck fencing that was just finished. I called the couple of painters I knew, they were busy. I needed this done quickly as it was scheduled to rain in a few days. Leaving the neighborhood that day, I noticed the Dawson painting trailer on the street and the guys were out front. I stopped and explained my situation. They came by that day and wrote me a fair quote that night. They split their crew up between the house a few blocks away and mine, and finished my job in two days before the rain.
