I was given the bare minimum of information and then she hung up on me...?! It was ridiculously expensive to get my car out of their towing yard. It was $404 even tho my car was there for less than an hour. The prices set up were closer to $200 for less than an hour yet i paid up to double the price. After 90 minutes, I called again and was told the driver was 10 minutes away. He arrived another 30 minutes after that. My cleaner came over to my apartment to clean. She misunderstood where she was supposed to park and her car was towed. An understandable mistake. I called the tow company and with no attitude just asked for the address to get the car and how much. I confirmed on the phone 3 times that the price was $226. (Which by the way was a 17 mile tow) already super pricey makes no sense. I said okay $226 (I remember because he said $225 at first and then said no $226, 226 TWICE after). I promptly gave her the cash, and sent her to go get her car. When she arrived someone "else" raised the price suddenly to $326. I then called to say NO I SPECIFICALLY CONFIRMED THE PRICE BEFORE. This person who answered said "from me, no, I would never give that price. Okay? Okay?" and then HUNG up. I called back 4 times and he refused to answer. My cleaning lady was obviously very upset and flustered. This is just some shady ass shit. Period. What a poorly owned and run company. I have a rental car because I was T boned. I parked my rental in a lot where I assumed it would be safe and away from other cars but I was wrong. The women at this tow place seemed angry and bitter the guy was ok but could tell the women controlled him. I had the keys to my rental my ID and SHE still made me go through hoops to satisfy her the rental agreement was off so had them resend it after I had the rental car place on the phone answering all her questions. this was personal she did to like me. But regardless of that. GONE. I call the towing company and they tell me I had parked in front of a fire hydrant. WHY WOULD ANY SANE PERSON PARK IN FRONT OF A FIRE HYDRANT! Why?! Over night?!? That makes NO sense. They tell me I can try to fight it in court. I feel like they saw my older car that has lived a life and seen some bad days and they targeted it knowing that I would not have to means to fight them or take them to court. I BARELY HAVE THE MEANS TO PAY FOR THE CAR TO GET IT. So I call the apartment complex and asked if they called to have me towed. They say NO. Well come to find out... the apartment complex has a contract with the towing company that allows the towing company to come at will whenever they want and tow at THEIR discretion. Giving them the opportunity to take advantage of people by towing for NO REASON AT ALL. It's truly sickening. When I call this "24-hour-towing" company to retrieve my car, the man MIKE, says no one will be there to help me until 10 am. So my friend and I are there. Waiting for some hours. 10 am hits, a women arrives, she goes to grab Mike and guess what? Mike was there the whole damn time. He lives there. Smh. I drive my brother's car. My vehicle was brand new of the dealer never had issues but I was charged 417.19 to pick up my vehicle me thinking it was going to be fully operating my car was damaged and forced out the lot and they did not use the dolly to transfer my car to the Yard there business and busted/damage my whole back brake line that is costing me 5k plus. I am now pursuing a law suite this isn't fair and it's unprofessional and they charged me for a dolly that was never used through the process of transferring my vehicle l. It is Frustrating upsetting and inconvenience of time I'm going to loose having no transportation. I do not recommend there services or recommend the city to use this business to tow vehicles. What a piece of crap company.... truly. They are very comfortable with hanging up on you and they are even more rude in person. They completely ignore any and everything you say / ask and just continue to stare at their screens or stare blankly at you sayin ' license and registration' or whatever else, it's unbelievable. They also DAMAGE CARS!! They damaged the bottom of my boyfriends brand new M4, it's very low and they severely chipped the bottom of the bumper. Now when the tow truck picked it up they had a sheet to circle where damage was already intact on the car and NOTHING was circled ( obviously as it is brand new ) and when he picked up the car and saw it the lady REFUSED to allow him to retrieve the car without signing that no damage had been done. The cops were called and sternly suggested we take them to court and use them as witnesses because that is illegal. The cops also had to be called because the lady ASSAULTED me by shoving me when I thought I would be able to go through the gate and get the car with him!! A few weeks ago I was up in Big Bear for vacation with family when I saw tow trucks outside of where I was staying. I was told that a drivers car ended up in the bottom of a man made lake. I was very impressed with the equipment used to retrieve the vehicle. For such a tough job, the truck drivers seemed very composed with all the attention they gathered from the hotel guests.
