Day & Nite really came through for my family in a time of need. Our family recenty lost its patriarch (he was 102 years old...and leaves behind an incredible legacy)....so it had been a sad time for the family. We had to turn around and quickly plan the services due to our family being quite large(over 100 immediate members); We essentially had about a week and a half to finalize and get everything ready. That being said, we needed to print programs ASAP...once we finalized it. Once the programs were done(we had to finalize passages, names, order of services, picture, etc. - so it took about a week to complete), we could not get in touch with some of the printers we had used in the past (much further away), and when we took it to Staples, we were quited over a GRAND for the small job we needed. Suffice it to say, we were in crisis mode...we needed the printing completed, folded, and set up by the next day. ...enter Day & Nite. Another family member used them previously, so we got in touch. Edwin & Yamit (the owner) were really amazing; they were very accommodating and patient. They were already close to closing at the end of the day on Friday. The program project was not formatted in a way that they could print it, so they worked patiently with us until it was correct and ready to go, well past the time they needed to do for a customer. They were going to be closed on Saturday, but they knew we needed the programs completed before Sunday, so they stayed later to complete and finish the job. They printed, scored, and did everything we needed. Overall, the print job was good and done quickly, and really alleviated the stress everyone was under...it was just one less thing to worry about. I'm so happy that I found Day and Nite!! I submitted a Yelp request to a bunch of companies asking for 2,000 #10 envelopes to be stuffed with two letter-sized marketing documents. Yamit responded really quickly, and we talked on the phone the same day. A few days after I had placed my order, Yamit called me to make sure that the way that the letters were going to be folded was okay. I really appreciated that, because I probably would've been upset if I didn't know ahead of time (just because it was different than what I had previously done). But the way they did it was actually fine, and Yamit explained why it was cheapest for me to do it that way. When I went to pick up my letters, the entire process was so perfect and convenient for me. Everything was ready and perfectly stacked in long USPS boxes with covers. The way they stacked them, all facing one direction and in a single layer, makes it SO easy for me to load them into my envelope printer! I also had two versions of the letters printed (1000 each), and they labeled the box with each version multiple times, inside and outside so that I wouldn't mix them up. The employee inside insisted on bringing everything to my car and helping me load it in. All of that easily earns them 5 stars. They could've easily mixed up the letters, not labeled them, stacked them in such a way that it was annoying to put them in the printer, or had them facing in different directions. They went beyond common sense and really maximized convenience. Everything is also printed, folded, and sealed perfectly. Also, FYI, I talked to Yamit multiple times throughout this process and may have been kind of annoying at times. He was always very professional and friendly, as was the employee manning the shop. I never encountered anyone who met the description of the rude employee in the other reviews. read more

They're alright. Service can be slow esp during the beginning of the semester. Everyone seems to buy books last minute. Service is definely there. I asked a guy for help me look for a book but didn't know which edition of said book was. So he looked up the class and helped me pick the right one. Additionally, I've used their printing service to copy stuff and they did it all for me. Gone are the days of standing for hours at rite aid photocopying... stuff. Prices are a bit high but prices of everything is high when your unemployed especially during the college years. Downside: day and nite isn't opened late nights. I'm not even sure why I'm writing this because day n nite (they're closed at nights) obviously doesnt care about yelp reviews. It's well known that dollar for dollar, no one fucks you over harder than college bookstores. That's why so many people come to this place for their textbooks and lab manuals: the campus bookstore is much more expensive. But I assure you, what you save in $20 at day n nite, you make up for it by paying for it with a bit of your sanity and hope for humankind. These guys are the most apathetic, arrogant, and impatient people I have ever met. The first time I came here, the tall dude, probably the manager, was having a full-blown bitchfit on the phone. The second time, I learned that they have hateboners for every college student that visits at the start of a semester. Everytime you come here you will leave with a bad taste in your mouth. I recommend you spend a bit of effort to try to find your books online or get them second-hand. Only buy lab manuals from here if necessary. There is not a way to give negative stars, and I don't care to try and figure out how, so I'll just regale you with my tale of woe. I went to buy my Chem 80 lab manual and mistakenly grabbed the Chem 81 book. I noticed about 5 minutes down the road on my way home, so I turned back and went to the book store. I was back at the store literally 3 minutes after I bought it. I walk in and the fat bastard with the glasses asks me what I want and I say, very politely. "I just bought this and mistakenly grabbed the Chem 81 book, can I just grab the Chem 80 book?" He looks at me, takes the manual and starts in saying "Well it says right here that it is Chem 81, See? *underlines 81 with finger* I don't know why you grabbed this one. Make sure you get the one that says CHEM 80 and not 81 *underlines 81 again with finger on book* " So I look at him in his stupid face and say "Do you have to be a dickhead about it? I know how to read, I made a mistake" he just stares at me and says nothing. In the end, there was a $1.00 difference between the two books and he wouldn't let me use my card to pay for the difference, so I tell the boy toucher to put it back all on the card and I left. He may deal with students that are rude or otherwise annoying, but I'm a grown ass 30 year old man that was nothing but polite and cordial until his attitude came out. He can be a condescending dick to someone else, I don't have the time or patience to deal with his probably diabetes having self. May he die in a bus fire. read more

Day and nite???? the name implies soo much. I figure copies all day, all nite! Write? Nooo wong! (intentionally mis-spelled in my case...I did graduate by the way) So my better half..(cough cough) had a final today and in her utmost confidence self brings every thing she needs.....except a scan tron. Yes, after all of the technological advancements like sex-ting, 3D LED tvs, 4G networks, my alma mater is still using scan trons for lazy ass instructors who want to give 2 hour tests and grade them in seconds. Love scan trons myself but is a fucken bitch to find them 1 hour before a final. Drove around to office depot, staples, rite-aid, liquor stores, spearmint rhino industry...and nothing. Until....this shit hole! So how does day and nite copy center step up and save the day??? By closing @ 4:57pm on Saturday afternoon. The sign said 5 pm, but the attendant(male with glasses) wasn't going to stop closing. I yelled" do you sell scan_trons?". He says "YES"....(thank you lord)..I say" I need a packet for a final". He replies "CLOSED" and turns his back to the door. Great customer service! You could have made a customer for life, instead, you did what you did. Not only did I catch you closing early, you also illustrated the example that people are assholes(more often than not). It's people like this worker that make me cherish businesses, workers, and strippers that go that extra mile. Service is #1 that I expect from businesses. I will never be back or recommend this place that feeds off of students. In these trying times of budget cutbacks and skyrocketing tuition fees, places like Day and Nite Copy Center are waiting to fuck you just like Gov. Arnie. Update: Upon returning back to campus without scan-trons, i heard that students offered the extra scan trons that they had to other classmates, that included my baby girl. Just when you think all of your classmates are selfish bastards, you see this act of generosity. It summer, on a Saturday evening, and even students know how to treat each other. Everyone working here are RUDE and they all have ATTITUDE problems. No one forced them to work, if they really hate this job, just go home, don't use those shity attitude towards any customers. When looking for books, the guys here won't give you any assistant, they expect you to read whatever is labeled on the shelf. Don't even bother to ask them anything because they will just ignore you. The guy at the door asked me (with a horrible attitude) to open my clutch to let him take a look before I leave, I was like are you serious? my clutch is only 1/3 of a regular printing paper and I don't think I can fit anything inside. He ignored me and said he has to check it no matter what. We are the customers who pay for their bills, no appreciation, no respect, no business. Will NEVER come again. read more

I went to day and night yesterday. I was at that plaza when I remembered that I needed to print something. Due to the close proximity I just go there. I was trying to print wall art for decorations to be framed. I kept all my file at its original size since I do not want a pixelated prints. I was hoping that he could advised me on how he needs the file to be sized at in order to get the best result. I guess i was expecting too much of him (the store attendant, a guy with glasses). Not only was he extremely unhelpful, he was also unreasonable and extremely rude at it. He did not talk with respect and sound like he was ridiculing me to the point of almost yelling. No manners at all! By that time I was so uncomfortable, so I just told him I changed my mind and left. There is staples just 3 minutes away on grand and the attendant there was so much more knowledgable, helpful, polite, etc. AVOID THIS PLACE! just drive a little bit further and go to STAPLES! There was only one friendly employee & one @$$hole governing the store in all the times I've gone here. Unfortunately, I usually see the guy who needs to get laid or another job. In my most recent visit, the dude demanded I unfold all my bills before handing it to him (I like to fold every 5th single dollar). He could've easily done it himself while I was counting my change. I would've been fine if he said it nicely but he HAD to go w/a rude & condescending approach! They've cheap books here but his customer service or people skills needs to undergo drastic changes if he wants to retain his business & consumers.
