Over the last 25+ years, Day & Nite was a local (and absolute LAST) option for our family for printing and other needs. This evening I had a complex, sizeable and very last minute printing order and Yamit (the new owner) opened his already closed store (at 7pm) to help me out. He graciously opened his doors, listened patiently to my request, found an efficient / cost effective solution and stayed back another hour until it was completed. Ugh... The worst place to buy books. The place is so empty, and you wont know how this place works if it is your first time. So when I went to go buy my Anatomy lab book, I walked a couple feet into the store, and the owner sternly told me to stay at the cashier line. So apparently, students are not allowed to get their textbook or materials themselves. It is a weird system. But it just sucks that you have to buy the Anatomy lab book here. And the used textbooks arent that much cheaper compared to the brand new textbooks. You might as well just pay a few bucks more for a newer textbook. For the past few times that I have been here, I usually end up getting one of the last few copies, even though I come early to buy my textbooks. So Day and Nite does not have a large quantity of books if you end up coming at the 2nd week of school or something. read more

I had previously called other printing shops around the area but Yamit at Day and Nite was extremely helpful with answering questions and helping us figure out what size banner we needed. My experience here has been mixed. I've had a really friendly employee and some really unfriendly employees. The first day the first 2 just stood there and didn't say words and got frustrated when I asked if they had scantrons. The 2nd day the guy had them, got them for me and was nice. So I started school on Mon and both my classes have labs, which surprise require lab books. They have this set up with Day and Nite to sell the lab books. So during my break I treked on over to the book store. Bio book $40, Chem 51 book $26... Chem 51 2nd ed. lab book wrong book priceless. So I call them and they are denying they sold me the wrong book. I told the guy stop going around in a circle I have the wrong book!!! Finally he says I can go in and return it... Next day I had to because I still was in class by the time they closed. So I went over this morning and got yelled at by one of the workers there because I didn't know where to go. Then he had the nerve to send me to a desk where no one was and then said stop wandering around the store. Why do people go into customer service positions when they have the opposite of customer service. Worse part I think he was either the owner or a manager. The guy that did the return was really nice and understanding hence the 2 starts as opposed to one... I hope this is the last semester I have to deal with Day and Nite!!! read more

I went to buy a scantron today and only had my debit card, you have to spend $5 or more to use a cc or you have to pay cash. I only needed one so I asked for one then the employee mentioned I needed to spend more so I asked for another he wanted to make a smart remark by saying, "if you know how to add then you would know that isn't $5". He could have simply said, "that is still not $5 do you want anything else?". He looked Hispanic, heavy set, and with glasses. These guys are so rude and act like they're looking down on you and like it's a privilege to be shopping there! I can't believe that they are still in business with the way they treat you! I had a return, but missed the last day by one day (I picked up the wrong item and the one I needed was actually the same price). Instead of being polite about their return policy they were just not nice. I understand it's their policy, but when you see someone looking kinda sad and desperate, don't make it worse by treating them like they're stupid and almost like you're satisfied at their misfortune. They said they don't give prices over the phone. Then I explained that they are in partnership with my school program and that they are the ones who print the book; therefore, it's the only place I can purchase it. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes without being acknowledged. I finally said "excuse me.. I'm looking for a book" and the man with glasses rudely said "wait!". The textbooks & supplies are pretty cheap. The only possible downside is there is a rude attendant/shop keeper. I can't tell whether the attendant or the butthurt customers have the longer stick up their ass. This isn't a restaurant, classroom, or amusement park where people are paid to be nice to you. You aren't there to make any friends so the complaint "woe is me, someone was rude" is laughable at best. Not everyone in life is going to like you, get used to it. The only thing that SHOULD be rated is the quality and price of their books & supplies, and that's fantastic. So if you're not a pansy little bitch and like to save money, check this place out first. read more

Great location to Mt. San Antonio bookstore but it's not what you think. The owner is quite rude. I went on a day this month that was not busy. I walked in asked him if a specially bound book and he just gave me an attitude for inquiring. I had to buy it (because the professor had an agreement with him), but I will not be purchasing anything there unless I have too. FYI we all have bad days, but this guy has been rude and not friendly each time I visit the place and I have been going there for well over a year. PROFESSORS, please use another copy center as the owner treats us friendly students poorly. read more

This is based on 3.5 stars only for the 1 awesome employee who helped me out. When I walked in a gentle man was sitting at the front desk and he let me walk into the store before he hunted me down and rudely said " did you not read the sign? No purses allowed. You have to leave them at the front desk." Embarrassed that several other students saw, I trotted to the front and placed my bag down. I found everything I needed fairly quick, with no help, simply because the store is so small. At the checkout counter, the awesome employee gave me my extra supplies I needed and joked with me, which made me feel less uncomfortable. I've read the reviews...and I entirely 100% agree with the vast majority. I called them today to find out if they had a book. (I've also bought from them in the past)They treated me like a retarded useless pile of ****. They were indignant to the fact that I was not in awe of their magnificent presence.This is not the way to run a business. As if they are so confident that they will not go out of business, due to the need of cheap book prices. Sometimes customer service is important. Just a little. These people have none. If your customers/potential customers are not important to you, then you don't deserve them. It's a crime these guys are still in business. -not even a stretch. More details on what happened, the first guy on the phone was like: "WTF DO YOU NEED? DO YOU NEED A BOOK? WHAT BOOK?" I tried to tell him...but it actually turned out that they don't even have a system to look up the book you need. Completely useless. He was really getting on my case...the next guy was a little more reasonable...but seemed like the energy of the first guy was rubbing off on him. DONT!! If ur thinking of purchasing a book or anything here don't do it. I tried to return a book a couple days later because it was the wrong edition and even though I was told by the guy over the phone that it was okay for me to return it a few days later the guy that "helped" me in the store was very disrespectful, and said I and the instructor were both wrong on the edition of the book. He did not keep his end by returning it like I was told. And even went as far as calling me a liar. Now I'm out a good chunk of money and will have to buy another book elsewhere. As an instructor, Day N Nite is great to work with. They have produced my lab books for years and made the process seamless. They also produce custom carbon copy books for me. I did work with the campus book store and found: 1. The price of the book was 2x what I was quoted. 2. The price was $20 more then Day N Nite charged. (One reason instructors choose to use Day N Nite is that it saves students lots of money.) Day N Nite maintains our lab books and even provides some value added services. I have gone to splitting the lab book into two halves since many students don't complete the course due to a large variety of reasons, and thus are only out half the investment in the materials. Day N Nite has been able to accommodate these changes. Books are expensive! Day N Nite helps make it less so. read more

This is the worst place to do your business. I came here to plot my architectural plans. 1. They increase the price 3 times in a year 2. The size of each paper came out different. 3. The convert my pdf to jpg so everything comes pixelated. I have to pay for bad drawings. I don't have time to plot it somewhere else. 4. They are rude, they said "If you are not happy with one drawing, then don't take all of them." They also said "Please don't come back" Who is in the right mind ever do that in the business world. Stupid words coming out of business owner. 5. They fired every employee. So I have to explain everything over and over again.
