I went for a Breakaway party and it was such a nice adventure. I loved the food and menu and looking forward to trying more. The grounds were beautiful and the gift shop was well stocked and great pricing. I really liked the different selections of soda waters, teas and alcoholic beverages. Very nice time. Thank you Day Dreamer Domes for being a great host to our group. We will be back for sure.

    Semen on comforter

Nightmare Domes!!!! Please Read before booking! I checked into the Daydreamer Domes 12/26/2025 for a birthday get away with my 8 year old son. Prior to arriving at the property, I received a message stating that the room that I originally selected was having plumbing issues and had to be switched which was no problem. I was switched to Dome 1. I went to the room late in the evening and got settled in. I sat on the bed and noticed that there were white Semen stains smeared all over the Emerald green comforter. There was also Semen stains on the Emerald green chair located in the Dome as well. I contacted the owner Missy Fojtik and she stated that she switched me to that room without ever checking the room and went on to relate that they had a new cleaner who she knew was not cleaning the rooms properly. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of the room and she switched me to Dome 12. Which was extremely far from Dome 1. I gathered my belongings and walked though the pitch black night with only the light from my phone because the property does not have any lighting. Upon arriving in room 12 I noticed that there were cookies located in different locations all over the room which let me know the room was not cleaned as well. I was late at night so I went to sleep after removing black comforter off the bed. Upon inspecting the comforted in room 12 I found more dried semen on the comforter!!! I booked the room for a relaxing experience and was met with filth. No one should be subjected to sleeping in someone else's bodily secretions. It's clear that they do not wash the comforters to save time and money. I originally booked the room for the soaking tub but decided not to use it because the room was not cleaned. I attempted to shower but found that the "rainfall" shower sprayed every direction but down!! This led me to have to take bird baths in the sink! I truly could have just stayed in the woods because this is not Glamping. The owner Misty offered to refund me for my stay under the pretense that I would not give an honest review of my stay but then only opted to refund one night forgoing what she originally stated. This was a truly atrocious experience and I will not be returning due to the unsanitary accommodations and the shady business practices of the owner!

I mean right inside the door. The toilet was behind a curtain. The sink was next to the bed. You had to turn off a c if you wanted to use hair dryer. For 300 dollars a night. I expected more.

This review is about a trip we took from 10/17 to 10/20. We…read moreleft Water's View Inn the next morning. Here is what happened. 1. The building is set up as 16 individual Air B&Bs so they don't have to have anyone at the desk. There is no "Inn" experience to be had for us and you and your family. We tried to find someone to assist three times. We also texted. You get your code and you let yourself in and fend for yourselves. 2. No breakfast (to speak of) you and the other guests hover and pick over a couple of coffee cakes and frozen egg bites from Costco. 3. The entrance way to our Air B&B was in disrepair (PICTURE). The front door and the bathroom door due to age were very hard to close. We had to use our weight to secure ourselves into the room. The front door DID NOT have blinds, shades or the like. Anyone could look in on you and your family as you try to rest safely. Again, this was for $500 a night. 4. The temperature we changed (by remote) before we went to bed, it was very cold, woke up the next morning to an even colder room. Finally got a hold of staff (text) and they said "the remotes don't work I have the controls here in my living room". (PICTURED) 5. The bathroom was uninhabitable. ¼ of the bathroom (PICTURED) is I don't know what...but the moldy mirror is what you stare into as you are on the toilet. By now, you can guess the ply of the toilet paper. You also have to flush twice each time as this business was able to save money, deciding not to switch over the pluming and has kept the entire 16 units under a lone septic tank. Contained within is a shower (barely usable), another shower at the back which has been blocked off, no showerhead, the drain nailed shut. There is red tape (again, PICTURED) over a mysterious light switch. 6. The "Employee Area" that you are not supposed to enter but which shares a wall of this room which had a cut-out chunk of the wall which served as an unneeded night light at all hours. (PICTURE) The crusty white part at the top is where the bright light would seep into this unit. PROMISES and KNOWN UNTRUTHS: 1. Promised: The Jacuzzi tub. THERE WAS NONE. This claim as a lie. The only tub in the bathroom is the one (PICTURED). 2. Promised: The Private Deck. THERE WAS NONE. This claim is a lie. The one that was promised was the one (PICTURED) with the table setting...it's FAKE. THAT was never attached to our room. Never saw it. The deck we DID have had a nice view...BUT there were no partitions. At night we had someone cup their hands and watch us in bed. The same thing happened as we were trying to escape the next morning. My deck was EVERYONE'S deck. It would have cost this Air B&B less than $1K to put up simple wood partitions. But they didn't. The money must have gone toward the imaginary Jacuzzi tub. How would you feel? 3. Promised: Individual Heating and Cooling Controls. THERE WAS NONE. This claim is a lie. See above what we were told about our cold unit. If freezing, you have to hope you contact someone. In the meantime?? A very old house that hasn't seen love in many decades. The current owners, in evidence, have provided new paint here and there and flimsy wood stairs. I was told "please be patient as we work on this "amazing historic home, etc, etc." How about this. Don't open until you can provide your customers a safe place to stay. Our charge was $500 per night (including taxes, pet fee, etc., etc., etc.) per night. This business has yet to refund to us $1000. I'm SURE the response will be something sad like "if we would have known...if you would have called". WE DID. NO ONE WAS THERE. Your business knows what it's providing and what it isn't. All of us travelers deserve better. A few years from now this property will change hands yet again, from laziness and not wanting to invest the money. This was our first and last trip to Michigan.

If you're looking for the perfect place to stay for a beach vacation in Southwest Michigan, Sleepy…read moreHollow is it. We've stayed in Cottage #7 for several summers, and it has become one of our family's favorite traditions. The private beach is what truly sets this property apart. You simply can't beat the beach access--it's peaceful, beautiful, and never feels overcrowded. We spend our days soaking up the sun, swimming, and ending evenings with bonfires on the beach using the complimentary firewood provided by the property. Our kids absolutely love everything there is to do. Between the pool, tennis courts, pickleball, ping pong, basketball, open grassy areas for wiffle ball and games, and the complimentary bikes and beach cruisers, they're entertained from morning until sunset. One of our favorite parts is that they always seem to meet other kids staying on the property, and before long they're all outside riding bikes, playing games, and making summer memories together. The gated property also gives us peace of mind, making it feel incredibly safe for families. Cottage #7 is the perfect setup for us. It has a bedroom with two twin beds for the kids, a comfortable master bedroom for us, and a den with a pull-out sofa that's perfect when family or friends decide to stay the night. Having a grill and a washer and dryer makes longer stays so much easier. The kitchen has an eclectic collection of dishes and cups, but honestly, that's part of the charm. There's something nostalgic and fun about the mismatched, cottage-style feel that makes it feel like a true home away from home. The grounds are absolutely pristine and beautifully maintained, making every walk around the property enjoyable. Every year we're sad when it's time to leave, and before we're even packed up, we're already looking forward to coming back next summer. Sleepy Hollow has become much more than just a vacation rental--it's where our family makes some of our favorite summer memories. And yes some cottages are more updated than others, but it's the property and beach access you're getting that's priceless. Not having to pack up a car and drive to a crowded beach everyday is by far a luxury in itself!

This is exactly how we wanted our stay to feel. I researched a lot of options for our weekend birthday celebration with my grown daughters, and Hotel Nichols went beyond our expectations. With the personal attention and friendliness of the staff, we couldn't have asked for more. The happy hour and the incredible made-to-order breakfasts were the deciding factors in choosing Hotel Nichols. The location couldn't be better, easy walk to the beach and right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants. Our room was perfect, it was very roomy and had all the amenities we needed, the bathroom was huge. Most of all, we had fun chatting with everyone during happy hour, the wine was great, and the charcuterie board and appetizers were delicious. On Saturday night, Nick even grilled hot dogs for everyone, they were so good! Live entertainment and all! I read the reviews before booking, and everyone was right! Scott, Nick, Todd, and Aaron couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. (The fact that I know their names tells you everything.) As we sat in the lobby drinking tea, I told my daughter I wish I had some chocolate, maybe I could run outside for something. Next thing I knew, Todd presents me with a small box of chocolates! Small gesture with a huge impact. We chatted the whole way home about how great out stay was. We will definitely be returning ! Maureen
