I can't believe this place doesn't have any reviews! But I must say, I do feel honored to be the first. Daysdreams is on Haight between Clayton and Ashbury and is right at the 43 bus stop. I bought my first pipe here, my first bubbler, and got both of my friends to buy their pipes here as well. Out of all the head shops on Haight, this is by far, my favorite. When you walk in, the lights are bright, they don't have marijuana pictures plastered all over the wall... and even have sodas and random household items for sale. My point is, you don't feel like a pot head when you come in here. On top of that, who I assume is the owner, is always behind the counter and is really, really, really knowledgeable. Hell, he even helped me find a pipe that was the right distance from my nose so I don't burn it when I'm smoking. And of course, every time I've bought anything from there, he always gives me something free. Free zig-zags, a disposable pipe, and electric lighter, and a few other random assortments of things that help enhance your smoking experience. This store is not very large, but they offer quite a bit of variety in their smokeware and accessories. Many of the display cases on the floor display are jam packed with pipes of all sizes and shapes, while other cases are home to many different styles of water pipes. The walls are used for additional glassware and accessory display, and everything seems to be reasonably priced in comparison with surrounding shops. They also have one of the largest rolling paper racks that I have seen in all of SF, they stock every brand from Zig-Zag to Randy's to Juicy Jay's. read more

I should have looked closer, though, because the grinder is not an authentic SharpStone, although they sold it to us as one. So when I picked up a Pax 2 from this guy and had a celebratory drink in The Gold Cane next door, my heart sank to read that he has (allegedly) dealt in counterfeit stuff in the past. This place runs a dishonest business. I purchased a scale for $35 after being verbally ensured that I would be able to return the scale if my partner didn't like it. The next day I walked in and tried to return it, and the employee acted like he didn't remember saying that to me.
