I visited Daystar Boutique on a Saturday afternoon in October 2025. An online search for incense and incense burner holders led me to the store. My Romanian neighbour got me into incense after he gave me a whole stick of them. INCENSE (5/5) -- If you want to start using less candles and more incense then Daystar Boutique is for you. I came specifically to buy an incense burner and I left with buying 1 incense plate burner made of wood, and a pack of incense. The incense scent that I got was Lavender which isn't a super strong scent as most incense can be. I received a complimentary pack of incense too just for my purchase so that was very nice of the owner to do that. I also bought a small hand lotion ($3 I believe) which I found at the checkout counter. CLOTHING/SUNGLASSES (3.5/5) -- Besides incense, the store offers tie dye clothing for sale which appeared to be average/okay quality. I mostly noticed a bunch of t-shirts and sweatshirts. There are some casual dresses too. Sunglasses were on sale for $7 each. SERVICE (5/5) -- I was greeted upon walking in and wished well upon leaving the store. During my visit, the two store owners or business associates, chatted with me as I asked questions about the history of the store plus other questions on incense. I felt comfortable walking around the store as I browsed. My neighbour got me some extra incense that he had but I needed an incense burner so that is why I visited Daystar Boutique; otherwise, I don't know if or when I would have ever visited. I probably failed to see the store the numerous times that I drove past but I'm glad that I finally know that they exist. The store itself is a bit too packed with a lot of inventory laid out. I think there is a better way to lay out the items so it doesn't feel disorganized. If I ever need incense again then this is the store I plan to go to. Lots of hippie gear like clothes, cloth tapestries, candles and incense. Plenty of smoke shop supplies too like grinders, pipes, etc. Basic cotton tie dye shirts are $24-30+ which is expensive. read more

This place has been opened since before I was rebellious teenager. That kind of longevity is hard to find. I think one of the many reasons is they are soo nice and all the time too. They are very helpful as well. They have some really cool merchandise which is always reasonably priced. This is definitely a must go even to if only to suck in some good vibes. Love this store and the merchandise they carry. Giving a 2 star rating because the guy working the day I visited ( tall, bald guy) was extremely rude and made my girlfriend and I very uncomfortable. He made a few rude comments as we were browsing. Then when I went to purchase my items he made me show a identification that matched card I was using to pay. I made a 157 dollar purchase. According to "oHiO lAw," one has to be 21 or older to purchase TOBACCO items and I was unable to buy a torch from this location. Lucky for me, I travelled five minutes across Lakewood to another headshop, and was able to purchase a torch the same day. Needless to say, if you're 18 and trying to smoke, Daystar is not the place. I'm not specifically going to name the place that I got the torch from because of this so-called "law," that was pretty ineffective (if I may add), but just spreading awareness for my youngins! Daystar how I love thee! You've been there for me in one way or another since I was just a teenager. I learned about the Grateful Dead because of you. (Thank you if I've never done so before). The first waft of Nag Champa to bless my nostrils was because of you, too. From my hemp necklace phase, to the many times you had supplied me with candles and incense...you just always had the "thing" I was looking for, but didn't have anywhere else to get it. And, at the end of the day isn't that exactly what a headshop is supposed to be? Yes, and yes! In all seriousness, Daystar, has to be the best headshop on the Westside of CLE, if not ALL of CLE. They have a great array of tobacco pipes (glass, wood, metal, bone) and a good supply of water pipes; including any spare/replacement parts that you need. This was the place to go for "tobacco" and water pipes growing up in Lakewood. The smell is great. It smells like incense. I really can't think of any other place in Lakewood that caters to the stoner crowd like Daystar. Think about it, when it is day, you can't see the stars, but they are still out there. This store lets you see the stars even when the Sun is overpowering the rest in the sky. read more

I got some serious quality customer service here. I thought my hookah was broken, so I came by to see if I could get a replacement. Their hookahs were a little bit pricier than I'm used to, but I'm used to being able to stop by Dearborn and shop their abundant hookah selections at the myriad of hookah stores. I was a little disappointed seeing their prices since it was out of my range for the size that I wanted. However, I talked with the guy working there about my dilemma and exactly what wasn't working with my hookah. Instead of pushing me to buy a new one, he suggested I take some replacement pieces to see if I could fix the problem. The little plastic rings were a labeled for a buck a piece and he gave me two of them for free! I was so happy about the possibility of fixing my hookah! As I was leaving, I noticed their prices on incense were great and got a big box of the nag champa, which he gave me even more of a discount on top of their low price. Sweet! I'm going back there this week for hookah tobacco. It looked like they have a pretty good variety. My roommate also got a nice piece for a great price. All in all, the store smell great and they have your usual variety of tie dye clothes, candles, incense, and accessories. I'll be going back there this week for hookah tobacco. I usually love daystar hOwEvER today when I went in the young lady working was being sarcastic when my friend was trying to buy jewelry and when I unfolded a tapestry I was going to buy she came up to saying "that's not how we fold tapestries is lt" when I apologized she said "obviously your not sorry or you would have folded lt" she then continued to make comments about how it's balled up. me and my friends left without anything we intended to buy, still love daystar, just ya kno be nice to people evrybody vibin so don't no body start a fight ya dig. read more

Well I got my Baja but too bad this guy who thinks he's some fake wannabe hippie lost a $200 sale, if only he would have brought the pipe I asked him to take out for me and instead make a rude remark, " we don't take out pipes unless you're considering buying" well I wouldn't consider until I have seen the whole pipe so I give a one star because of that guy was to busy putting up inventory so you guys are cool but too bad that guy wasn't motivated enough to sell anything so you lost me as a buyer read more

It's a store for collectors of unique tobacco pipes and incense. They have a small selection of clothing for the eclectic and some little Buddhas but other than that if your looking for overpriced clothing go there. Everything there is overpriced except the tobacco pipes and bongs. They have some records and a collection of nick knacks but that's about it. It's a store you go in and you go out. read more
