I strongly recommend this firm. We had 6 large garage doors, with a total of 144 panes of glass to be done, in order to reduce damaging heat and sunlight hitting our cars. Mark is very knowledgeable and did a great job of demonstrating the difference between different types of films when he came out for the estimate, including sending me samples I could put on the panes of glass to look at over a few days. The job was done quickly and really well, no issues at all. Our garages have probably dropped 10-15 degrees on a hot summer afternoon, but you would never notice that they have film on them. read more

Absolutely phenomenal job done by Mark, Kimberly, and their team. From the first point of contact with Kimberly, the process was seamless. Communication was clear and the samples were sent to us right away. We were able to pick what we wanted, questions were answered, and Mark came to meet with us to review the job. We were impressed with the communication and professionalism; we decided to use them in another office before seeing the work being done. We were right to use them for both offices. Mark came with another employee, and they completed the work without any disruptions to our firm and in a timely fashion. Some of our offices were like fishbowls and we wanted more privacy for them, but also being able to see if there is an emergency too. We frosted the middle of each window so the employees aren't seen, but we can at least see if someone is on the floor. We also had our entry door to one of our offices frosted as well. We did not end up working with Daystar at all, mostly due to their communication style and poor customer service. Kimberly Rascon was my contact and initially declined to come out and measure my windows citing her busy schedule. She instead wanted me to measure, provide specifications on the windows and gather other information they would be responsible for when preparing a bid. On top of that she said they charge a $90 fee to provide a bid, which is not disclosed on their advertising at all. Very misleading and unprofessional. I can say I agree with others who have had similar experiences with them. Glad the red flags came out sooner rather than later. read more

One thing I have to say about Daystar window tinting is they take all of the guess work out of it. I primarily use them as a subcontractor. I simply point them in the right direction and they hang samples for me that are very easy for my clients to review and approve. Provide me with pricing options that are relevant and within my budget, and once I make the decision, and receive my installation date. I can always count on my service being completed professionally by the end of that day. Any surprise change order complications are handled professionally, with plenty of before and after photos, suggestions, and sometimes even slightly discounted since they are already on site. This particular behavior is one of my favorites as they don't seek to take advantage of the situation, but rather put the emphasis on providing the service with the quality product that doesn't feel like you were punished for missing a step. The upper floor of my home was warming up too much during the summer months due to south-west facing windows which let in too much afternoon sunlight. I reached out to Daystar who requested window measurements. They mailed me 5 different samples to choose from. I made my selection and Mark came by to install them a few days later. It took about 5 hours for him to complete 9 windows. He took his time to measure, clean, and install the film. Everything came out perfectly! Mark showed up on time for his initial measurement and gave us his thoughts on which was the best tinting film for our windows. The price is as about what I figured it would be for 51 panes of glass. Yes, we have a lot of windows! Our installation was scheduled for the next week and Jose his installer showed up on time too! Now that's 2-pluses so far. It was definitely a 2 day project and Jose worked from 9am till 4pm with a lunch hour in the middle. He was very nice and trustworthy as I spent most of my time doing yard work when he was working inside my house. The tinting on the windows is awesome because I've already noticed my air conditioner isn't running 24/7 now. It clicks on and then goes off for at least 20 minutes before it comes on again.
