I was here in July. The main reason I went was for a tuneup and an oil leak. Ended up getting other work done. I didn't see charges for the tuneup. It's too bad that the labor costs at these places are so high. They ended up having my car for three days because they had to work on another car. I was so upset that they had my car so long, that I didn't call back to question why they didn't do the tuneup. I feel this is another automotive repair shop that doesn't really listen to women. read more

My mother and I have been doing business with Dayton Tire for years. When Danny was in charge business was much better. Now they don't seem to care and don't do what they should. My mother is 83 she took her car in to be checked out because she was going out of town. They told her the car was safe for her to drive. When she returned the next day her grandson noticed the rear tires were worn down to the point the cords were showing. Now why didn't they look at her tires ? Like I said she is 83. THEY DON'T CARE !! I recently bought a set of Firestone for a 2015 Buick Verano at a cost of $1100.00 they were rated at 70,000 mile tread wear. We have tires rotated each time oil is changed. Now 30,000 miles later they tell me tires are dangerously worn and i need alignment and new tires for another $1100.00, Now if they were rotating tires like they were supposed to be doing why didn't they notice this? And say some thing before the tires got so bad the cords were showing? THEY DON'T CARE !!! My mother and I will be finding another place for our tire service. I brought my car in at 8:15 and they immediately greeted me when I walked in and asked what I needed. I just needed my flat patched and put back on, so they went right to it. After about an hour and a half of waiting, they let me know some of the lug nuts were stripped and needed rethreading. Thirty minutes later, they brought my car around, I paid, and left. I'm very satisfied with the service, they were friendly, and while they took a long time, I'd rather wait and have them do it correctly. Just be sure if you're in a hurry to ask how long it will take. read more

Stopped here because of great reviews off Yelp. I pulled in a 8:50 am on a rainy Monday. I needed one wheel and a tire to replace my damaged spare....didn't need it put on, just planned on carrying it out. The gentleman told me they had the wheel and tire I needed and would take care of it for me. 1 hour goes by and I asked the gentleman if they were able to find the tire. He said yup and they would be taking care of me next. I said ok. 30 more minutes go by and still no wheel or tire. I asked the gentleman what was taking so long, he told me that I would be next. I asked him if I could go ahead and pay and he said they need to make sure the wheel would fit my trailer (which had been sitting out front the whole time). I told him that I had a job to get to, so please just sell me the wheel and I'll get the tire someplace else. Frustrated, he told me that he couldn't help that there were others in front of me (only one other person there before me waiting). Overall they are very polite there. I just feel if a 15 min job is going to take more than an hour, it needs to be communicated. And don't let a customer sit around for an hour before you make sure you have the correct size to accommodate them. After all said in done, I walked out with a wheel (no tire) at 10:30am read more

This is my first visit here, and I am really impressed. I was immediately acknowledged, and helped. Dean set me up to have my two tires replaced. I brought my own tires and I feel they treated me as if I had bought them there. I went to another place and they couldn't get my truck back to me for at least 4 hours. Dean got my truck in as soon as i sat down. He even asked me if I wanted to keep my tires because he said they aren't in that bad of shape. I'm keeping one. The other has been plugged a couple times. Dayton Tire originally serviced my 2013 Toyota Tundra approximately 8 months by providing a front brake replacement and offered to either replace or turn my rotors (which have never been turned). The brakes have worked appropriately. Their rotor service by turning my rotors has been a nightmare! When I brought my truck back in approximately 3-4 months later, Jesse informs me the rotors are warped and they can return them AGAIN but this time the rotors will definitely be out of tolerance and they will need to be replaced when the time comes. Also, Jesse told me Dayton Tire does NOT own/possess the correct rotor turning equipment to correctly turn rotors for a Toyota Tundra!!! Why didn't Dayton Tire tell me this when I initially went in for my brakes to be replaced?! I would NOT have allowed them to touch my truck if this information has been shared with me. So, today, May 6, 2017, I take my truck back in to have the brakes looked at AGAIN due to my truck shaking and jumping all of the road when I depress the brake pedal. Shortly, after I dropped off my tuck I was contacted and informed the rotors are warped AGAIN! Dayton Tire was more than willing to HELP ME OUT! I was told they could totally replace my rotors without charging me labor or paying the markup cost. I could not believe they were not willing to admit this entire issue was due to them NOT turning my rotors correctly TWICE in such a short period of time. I was quoted a price of $113.00 for "local auto shop rotors" or $150 for OEM rotors from Toyota which were not in stock at the local Toyota dealer and not available until 5-8-17. NEITHER of these options were acceptable! AGAIN, Dayton Tire was NOT taking responsibility for their substandard work performance and pitiful customer service! After a lengthy rude and accusatory discussion with Dayton personnel, they agreed to replace my rotors at NO cost. However, the person I spoke with had the nerve or in my opinion to state that I was taking food out of his kids mouths because I took the cheap way out when I originally had my brakes and rotors turned! CRAZY! Well, as a customer, I was presented with two options to SAFELY get me back on the road. I did take the "cheaper" option as both options were a safe option especially since my rotors had NEVER been turned. I WILL NEVER GO TO DAYTON TIRE AGAIN! ANYONE OUT THERE WITH A TOYOTA TUNDRA HAD BETTER NOT GO TO THIS SHOP UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR TRUCK TO BE REPAIRED INCORRECTLY BY THEM UTILIZING CHEAP SUBSTANDARD EQUIPMENT, PITIFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND YOU WANT TO PUNISH YOURSELF FOR SUPPORTING A LOCAL HOMETOWN SMALL BUSINESS! read more

Stay away from these guys. My dad went in for an oil change. He is 74 and doesn't know anything about cars. They told him he needed two back tires because the ones he is driving on could cause an accident. They told him that he had an electrical short in his tail lights that needed repair and that the short damaged his battery. They told him that he needed wiper blades.His bill came to over $300. I check on my dad weekly and know that he didn't need any of this work. read more

I will never use Dayton Tire again. I took my truck in to get 2 new tires and a front-end alignment (I have used them several times for tires in the past) and they told me my upper and lower ball joints needed replaced in order to do the front-end alignment-to the tune of $730.00. I declined and took it to a trusted front-end alignment guy who said there was nothing wrong with either of the ball joints! Further, he said that he had just done an upper/lower ball joint replacement on a vehicle for someone last week then they took it in the next day to get tires and Dayton told them the same thing!
