I specifically went to the The Turn, after researching, where to find "flame or open fire" grilled burgers. Though they don't open flame their burgers, though they do their steaks. So I had their steak salad. The steak was tender and chard just right. And the field greens was the other part of the salad, which was way better than regular salad lettuce. Came in for lunch because we wanted to try the new salad bar. Turned out for the 1 time visit to the salad bar the plate is really quite small. The salad bar itself is relatively smallish but everything on it was fresh as they had just opened. So, we started with a dozen oysters (which were quite large and plumpy!). We also ordered wings and their hotdog/sausage and beer. Wings and sausage both seemed over cooked and on the dry side. I really wanted to like this place...I really did...the ambiance was spot on...but that's where the joy ends The service was unfortunate...the food was "meh"...like how do you mess up fried mushrooms?! The band was awesome though! We will give the save to the Alex Hayes band tonight. read more

Alert, stay away from this place, outside of our waitress being awesome, horrible experience. The fried mushrooms tasted like dirt and water, the dipping sauce, which was horseradish sauce and sour cream, was not prepared right and had a bad taste to it. It's obvious that the cook does not know how to cook. I ordered a ribeye and got a strip, my steak and mashed potatoes were cold. All our food came out at once our appetizers are solid and the main course I'm not one to complain to the waitress, because it's not her fault, but I'll let other people know about my bad experience and I won't ever go again There were six of us we all agreed it was a bad place and we won't return I was in the place when it was called the south turn and I loved it, and they had great food From my experience tonight, seems like the cook doesn't know what he's doing and it seems like the owner doesn't know what he's doing. I'm assuming the owner does not have restaurant experience. The atmosphere is absolutely horrible. It used to be a nice place when it was the south turn. It looks like a dump inside like the owner just turned it into a warehouse. The margaritas had zero alcohol in them they might as well be called virgins The prime rib sandwich was horrible I'd advise stay away from this place. We have frequented here every Bike Week for several years. You can really tell it's under new ownership, Wings & Crabby Fries took 1hr to get to the table. 6 of us ordered at the same time, all orders came out 15-20 minutes apart.... Not good service at all. Not sure what they would do if every table in here was full. read more

When it first reopened, things were pretty good. Since then, it has just been going down hill. The food is not good and the only time it's busy is when they get a really good band in there. I hope the owner see this post because I really want this place to do well. The people that work there are great but because of the circumstances in the kitchen, they know there's a problem. read more

The food service and ambience where perfect. But the dogs where too much for me. One dog was licking the condominet caddy at the next table unchecked by its owner. Another brought in 2 barking yappers. I mean who wants this at a restaurant. They should have a section to themselves. read more

I used to come here back when it was First Turn, and I have to say, the changes since it became The Turn are amazing. The food is so much better, the service is way friendlier, and the whole place just feels more enjoyable. You can really tell the new management is making a difference. Happy to say this is a spot I actually look forward to going to again! read more

We stopped at The Turn on a whim. We had loved it when it "The 1st Turn", didn't care for it when it was sold & reopened, and now the owners of Iron Axe bought it and it was FANTASTIC!!!!! Our Server, Kaylee(sp?) was awesome and very helpful with explaining everything. I got the smash cheeseburger & my Partner got the grouper sandwich. Unbelievably good and we would DEFINITELY order both again. We can't wait to try Monday night's barbque. Everyone was kind, friendly, helpful, just over all phenomenal. Wrong order came out with Tater Tots when I had ordered fries. Took 20 mins to get fries but they demanded to take the tater tots back before they were going to give me fries. By the time I got my fries i was already done the rest of my meal won't go back and don't recommend. Told manager and he didn't give a shit. read more

To start, the waitress we had at first in which was her first day, was very pleasant. She was doing her very best. The lady that was training her, well, that's a different story. She seamed like she was rushing the new lady which was making her fumble. The food was OK at best, the beer was good but it is in bottles. The main question that i have now is, how did 4 meals and drinks come out to be $105 and some change minus the tip. This was for 2 orders of boneless wings, $14 each, one order of the burger sliders, $13, and a grilled chicken sandwich , $15. to iced teas, 3 corona's, and 2 high noon drinks. The corona's and high noon drinks had to be around $9.80 each to make this to come out to be $105. Will not be back. read more
