My husband and I had dinner here last night. It has been years since we last ate here. Upon arriving, we were told we could pick any seat in the bar section. The waitress quickly came to clean off the table we chose. They were fairly busy and it was very hot in there. They had fans going but I'm thinking they might be having issues with their a/c. It was at least 100° outside so maybe their a/c unit couldn't keep up. We ordered an appetizer and then my husband ordered the prime rib sandwich and I ordered a salad and added chicken. Everything was delicious but prices are on the slightly pricey side. For example, my salad with the chicken was $35. It wasn't a large salad either, like some places have. At least I was full. I know it's a steakhouse but it's not giving "upscale steakhouse". The waitress had a "shadow". They were both very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back but maybe on a cooler day. read more

She helped coordinate ahead of the event with getting us appetizers for the pontoon. A few extra few family members popped up and she handled it so well. I had a great experience here. I am very impressed at how the waitstaff is able to keep their composure, as many guests like to socialize in walkways. As the night progresses, and the restaurant gets busy, the place becomes very energetic and lively. It's the perfect environment for a night out with friends. They even offer live music and host community events. My waitress Devany was knowledgeable , patient, friendly, and extremely professional. I was grateful to have met her and the owner. We came last year for my mother in law's birthday and had a terrific time. This year, we returned for her 82nd birthday, and it was horrible. I had specifically requested NOT to sit by the kitchen when I made the reservation. When we arrived, we were sat directly in front of the kitchen. Our party requested several times to increase the A/C which staff tried, however was not successful. It was so uncomfortable that everyone in the party was sweating. We could not even eat and enjoy our meal. Several of us, trying to make it work, went and sat in our air conditioned cars for a bit. When we did get our meals, our 4 medium filets were all cooked from well done to rare. There was absolutely no consistency. Finally, we ended up packing everything up to go. Jordan, our waitress, was very nice and even attempted to move the PORTABLE A/C towards us. We spent over $700 and couldn't stay and enjoy the meal and her birthday. We will not be back. If you're going to have seating in the kitchen area, have a better working A/C system! read more

I came for lunch today and it was ok not so bad but it wasn't good either... the restaurant is nice however it wasn't clean, our table was sticky, the glass I got water from was chipped. I had a pear pizza the crust was like low quality crust, definitely not thin crust. We also ordered a prime rib with mashed potatoes and asparagus, that was good. I love me some steakhouse food. It's definitely a local favorite and we come here often enough to have a decent read on most of the menu. Service is hit or miss but the drinks are always flowing which- I mean- yeah... The only thing we aren't a fan of is it seems like every night is a theme night, singo, karaoke, etc. that we can do without but I get it. August 2023 review Menu revamped with new items added such as hanger steak, bbq ribs, and fish tacos. There's regular happy hour and then Wednesday special happy hour with bottle beers and burgers through 9PM. I ordered the spinach salad, which is my favorite but the portion has got significantly smaller. I also ordered the burger special $7 but if you want pickles, it's $.50 more haha. The rest of the party ordered a margarita pizza $18 and Asian lettuce wrap $16. Apparently we ordered "double shots" but I don't recall asking for doubles. So 3 rounds of Jameson was $72. I'll continue to support the steakhouse because it's a local staple. Just wish the portions were better to match the prices. read more

So I have not been here in a year and a few things have changed since then. The service was much better and our service was very helpful and accommodating. I am just going to do a check list this time around for the food. 1. Cheese sticks and fried zucchini was good not to greasy. If you are going to put Parmesan on fried food make sure it's the finely grated. 2. Chicken strips great fries overly peppered 3. Steak was cooked to order but the asparagus was mushy. 4. Chicken In the Caesar salad was overly seasoned with black pepper. 5. They changed the plates to a more diner style for the bar seating area. We hadn't been here for awhile because of some bad experiences so we thought we would give it another try. The first two times we went back everything was great but today's visit was a horrible experience. My friend and I went to have lunch and because it was such a nice day we sat outside. Not sure if that was a mistake or not but after ordering we received our drinks quickly but then we waited more than 30 minutes - probably closer to 45 minutes before our food finally came - in fact my friend said we were giving it ten more minutes than we were leaving. About 3 minutes after that our food finally showed up. But my order was wrong. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and even though it didn't say anything about cheese or a mayonnaise type sauce I specifically asked the waiter if it came with that because I definitely did not want either on my sandwich. He assured me it did not. Well, guess what?? It came with a mayonnaise based sauce and cheese. I returned it and he apologized. About 10-15 minutes later I got a new sandwich delivered with the same fries that were now very cold!!! This has been a horrible experience and I don't plan on going back soon if ever!!! Update: new kitchen staff doesn't explain getting cold food and nothing being done about it. No waiters ever came back out to check on how we were doing. read more

This is the best sports bar in discovery bay. It's kind of the only one but that's okay. The staff is super friendly. GG and Maria take great care of everyone. Service at the bar is amazing. Drinks are very strong. Price is decent. I don't feel cheated. I'm loving the view, the community and the people there. It's 90% locals. Steak was cooked perfect to medium rare. Crab cakes were crispy and tasty. It has tons of crab unlike some other places. Soup was good but it wasn't very hot. They had live music on a Friday night. I love that. There's outside seating also. We have been here 6 times and hoped it would get better but unfortunately I never came to fruition. The service is horrible and the food was not good. I got a streak once and it was overcooked when I asked for it to be medium. Then got burgers the other times and again over cooked and dry. The one thing that was always constant was that the bar is what they focus on and food is an after thought. We always had to wait for the server because they spend there time talking to everyone at the bar and not tending to their customers. Absolutely TERRIBLE!! We tried this restaurant again and were hoping for a better experience. Fatty old meat tasted like it had freezer burn. Potatoes tasted like they were pre packaged. Hostess was rude put my food back in the microwave and basically threw it back on the table. The live music was the best thing going. As bad as the food was and service my biggest concern was the serving of alcohol to obviously young people in the table next to us that I would have at the minimum asked for an ID. read more

This place is a very solid sports bar with friendly service and positive energy. Also, DB is one of the only places of its kind in the Discovery Bay Area (not including Brentwood). The appetizers are great (especially the chicken wings), and most of their food is standard American bar food. They sometimes have live bands and karaoke, so every now and then you get a fun collection of entertainment. I think if you slightly temper your expectations for their food dishes, DB will show you a good time. I've never had a bad customer service experience here! read more

This was my third time visiting this location. I have been pleased every time. Walking in to leaving was delightful! I had a wonderful prime rib and OMG the scalloped potatoes maybe... the best I ever had! Drinks refiled before we knew they needed to be! It was a tale of two steaks. The Steak lover ribeye was OTT. It's a large steak with bone and was nice to be a local, so I could enjoy the leftovers for 2 more meals. My partner's filet ordered medium came out Black and Blue, blood red inside. They tried to reheat it to medium and it returned to the table short of inedible.
