Been to the Diggers in Brentwood figured give Diggers Disco Bay. It does have some of the funky touches but toned down not so much of the signs and license plates but they have a full bar. I had the French Toast breakfast which comes with an egg and your breakfast meat I had beacon I love that they put just a touch of cinnamon in the egg wash for the French Toast huge fan of that recipe feels like how mom made it when I was little. It did not take long to be seated and our server was patient and letting us take time to decide what we wanted to eat with rushing us. We will be back again. read more

My friends and I went out for a quick bite to eat and found out Diggers had opened up a new location pretty recently in Discovery Bay so we decided to give it a shot. I got a patty melt and my friend got a Turkey melt and we got some sweet potato fries for the table. The service was excellent and our waitress was super friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were seated right away. The atmosphere was fun as there was a birthday party going on, and they also have a bar at this location. The food itself was good for the price, I'd go try it again. read more

Went for dinner in Discovery Bay. They are now open late on Friday and Saturday until 8:00 pm. The food was amazing. Came out promptly and cooked exactly how it was requested. The servers were so sweet and attentive!! Will be back for sure and highly recommend! read more

Stopped by Digger's Diner in Discovery Bay for brunch with a friend, and it was just what we needed. We grabbed a booth inside--cozy, casual, and full of friendly energy. It's got that classic diner feel, with locals chatting over coffee and the smell of bacon in the air. The food was hearty and satisfying. We both left full and happy! Everything came out fresh and fast, and the portions were generous without going overboard. Great spot if you're craving traditional breakfast fare done right. Service was warm and welcoming, and you can tell it's the kind of place where they remember your name if you come in more than once. We've come twice and both times were good experiences. It's been busy both times, but the wait was minimal. The servers are quick and friendly. The decor is elevated diner vibes as it's kept much of the layout of the previous restaurant in this space. The main changes are the hot rod murals and Digger's logos. The food was good both times. My wife especially enjoyed the California Benedict on special this time. I liked the Full breakfast with sausage links slightly more than the chicken fried steak. They have a full bar and cocktail menu. Make sure to bring cash as they've been "cash only" both visits. Hopefully they'll get card options soon. Soups, Salads, Sandwiches and so much more. Our waitress, Vanessa, was so friendly and knowledgeable about gluten free menu options. We have always enjoyed Diggers in Brentwood and can't wait to return to the Discovery Bay location, which has both indoor dining and outdoor patio options. read more

I went to Diggers for lunch and ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with everything on it. It did not disappoint! The food was great, service was excellent and quick. The only gripe I had was about the acoustics, it was pretty loud, hard to carry a quiet conversation. It would be nice if they invested in acoustic baffling to reduce, muffle the sound. The sound in that place make everything echo and reverberate, which makes everyone speak louder, thus it's pretty loud. read more

I was so excited to see a Digger's open near my home! I've always enjoyed the Brentwood location and you'll get the same excellent, friendly service and great food here! I do wish that their Denver omelette came with cheese, however. Our server said that we needed to "add it" because it does not come with cheese by default. read more

Great diner spot. Nothing beats a good flat top grill burger. I've been going to the Diggers locations since I was a kid and they were only in Concord. I moved out east and they've came with me! Same great food and quality as the original. Some people said the service was slow - give them a chance - they just opened this location!!! Nice to have another option in town. Good use of the old Chinese location. Food is just ok though. Nothing special and doesn't make me crave it but we will add it to our round of restaurants. Breakfast for example is either mini (i.e. 1 egg/1 toast) or full (i.e. 3 eggs/4 bacon). Most of us just want the typical 2 eggs/2 meats so that makes ordering more complicated and I know I wasn't the only one with this issue because I heard the lady at the next table get confused on how to order as well so she had to order the mini breakfast and add an egg to it. For the folks who had to go all the way into Brentwood and all the way out Balfour to get to Diggers, the new Store is a blessing. Great food, great service and great price point. I really want this location to work for Discovery Bay. However I've been there several times and always seems to have some issue from the kitchen. Last time I ordered a Ribeye Steak breakfast and they brought me a New York, I was a sever for almost 2 decades I know the difference. My sever who was very nice took it back. I then received a nearly raw Ribeye with my original eggs, cold of course. When I showed the sever she said he was probably trying to get it back to me so my daughter didn't eat alone. I didn't ask for anything I was just going to pay and never order a steak again. The sever adjusted my check by taking $6 off a $29 meal which I ate NONE off. My suggestion learn good customer service, don't try passing off other items and if a mistake is made correct without the customer having to ask. I guess I'll continue to drive a little farther and stay with Orwoods. SAD had high hopes because it's so close. read more
