    Better service at Denny's

The staff is mediocre the owner. Rich is a egotistical person that doesn't even know how to run a restaurant. That's why he has lost l the discovery Bay yacht club. When asked questions about why certain things are occurring he 86 is you from his establishment even when you're drinking soda Taco Tuesday's mediocre and I wish the aloha Club would come back because this place sucks. Don't waste your money.

Excited the old "Aloha Club" is now Byron Steakhouse. Menu prices look great open from 10am - 11pm with a full bar. Steak with chicken parm $24 BBQ bacon cheeseburger $11 Fish & Chips $10 Happy Hour from 1-3pm Food is good, bar fare. Servers are super nice. AC could blow colder but not complaining at all. Hope this place is here for the long run.

Prime rib with lots of fat

This place is a super casual diner with a large outside area that used to be "the" place to hang out after a day on the water. That has changed a lot since Covid and new ownership. Probably would still be great after a day on the water. If you are looking for come as you are, ordinary food for a decent price with good size portions, then this is your place. The three in our party were in the mood for steaks. The guys got ribeyes and I got the prime rib. It was very frustrating as at least a third of my prime rib was fat. Not only that, but one end was cut super thin. I've never had a prime rib that was half an inch on one side and then barely a quarter of an inch on the other side and then all that fat. The quality was also average. The waiter was really good though. I didn't want to say anything, but my guy didn't feel that it was right so he mentioned the amount of fat. The waiter went back and spoke to the cook who didn't want to give me any extra, but the waiter did agree that there was a lot of fat so they did bring me extra, so they make it right in that aspect. The guys thought their steaks were average but loved their garlic mashed potatoes and I loved the veggies - it was a great combo of veggies and quite flavorful. We all agreed that the food was just average and probably wouldn't be a place we would return to; at least, not for steaks. Maybe if we were grabbing a salad, sandwich or a burger this might be a really good place to go.

This is my first time here at Byron roadhouse and I have to say this is the best food I've ever had in my entire life at any restaurant Holy MacIntosh it was so good. I don't even eat the crust off of bread and I did hear.

This is a local restaurant that is quaint but not fancy. The food beat my expectations by a mile. The outdoor space is fun and looks like a great place to be in the spring and summer. This is what we had for $36 before tip: - Tenderloin steak dinner: potato choice, veggies, salad, roll and dessert $14 (price good until 3/31/25) - crab cakes - nachos with chicken The steak was very tender and flavorful. The veggies used are my hubbies fav, the roll was a kings Hawaiian roll, and the potato, well was a potato. The dessert was a mini chocolate cheesecake. Everything on this was very good. This isn't a fancy steakhouse so don't expect that, but you will have a very nice dinner without breaking the bank. The crab cakes had zero fillers. No corn. No peppers and only enough bread to bind it together. The crab used wasn't lump crab, but for the $10 price tag, I didn't expect it to be. Only suggestions I have is to not serve with a honey mustard. Instead make a chive mayo (just add chives to mayo) or use a cocktail sauce. A simple aioli would also work. Definitely the best ones in the area and I will order them again. The nachos were good nachos. Nice cheese sauce, generous on the guacamole and sour cream. The chicken could have been warmed up a bit more, but it was so tender. If heated too much it would get dry, so I would prefer it cooler to hot to retain moisture. For $10 it was a good bargain, filling and really tasty. The staff was extremely nice and attentive. Please please please visit this place. With the prior owner/operators of this location, it used to be a biker/dive bar and had a bad reputation. Please don't use that misconception to prevent you from going here. I was a little hesitant at first. But there was zero sign that this place is or will become that again. So, if you want a good value delicious dinner, try out Byron Roadhouse. Show them some love so we don't lose this great establishment. Note: this was my first time going there and do not know a single person associated with them. I just really enjoyed my experience and want it to stay

Delta Dining with a Front-Row Seat to the Action. Some restaurants lean heavily on their kitchens…read more Others rely on their scenery. This Delta mainstay attempts, and often succeeds, to balance both. A short drive from the city delivers you to this laidback waterfront outpost, where the real show unfolds just beyond the patio: a steady procession of boaters launching, docking, and lingering over the day's boating stories all around you. It's an unpolished but undeniably charming backdrop, best enjoyed with a cold craft beer in hand and nowhere urgent to be. The menu casts a wide variety of burgers, seafood, barbecue, designed more for broad appeal than culinary ambition. Still, it largely delivers on its promise of satisfying comfort fare. Service, however, is where the restaurant consistently distinguishes itself. Staff members are warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, a level of hospitality that feels increasingly uncommon and worth noting. On this visit, I returned to a familiar favorite: the cheeseburger, paired, at our server's suggestion, with tater tots. Around the table, fish and chips and pulled pork sliders completed the spread. The cheeseburger, Juicy and cooked with precision, it carries a distinct flame-grilled character that signals real attention to technique. The toppings are fresh, the bun properly toasted, and the overall construction strikes a satisfying balance between indulgent and controlled. It's a burger that delivers exactly what it promises, and does so consistently. Having previously paired it with excellent onion rings, it remains a dish I'd order without hesitation. The tater tots, however, were a notable misstep. A great tot should offer contrast, crisp exterior giving way to a light, airy interior. These lacked that essential textural payoff. Soft and underwhelming, they suggested oil past its prime and a lapse in execution. After sampling a few, I left the rest behind. It was a surprising inconsistency, particularly given stronger past experiences. Fortunately, the pulled pork sliders recalibrated the meal. Three well-proportioned sandwiches showcased tender, smoky pork layered onto soft buns with a restrained hand on the sauce. The balance was thoughtful, allowing the meat to remain the focal point. Each bite was cohesive and satisfying, making them one of the afternoon's clear highlights. The fish and chips were fresh and not over battered, well-flavored, but just a little heavy, that defines the dish at its best when lightly crispy, in my opinion. For this visit, I award 3 out of 5 stars. Not for lack of potential, the kitchen clearly has it, but for inconsistency. Strong dishes sit alongside underwhelming ones, and that variability prevents the restaurant from reaching its full potential. Having experienced better execution here before, particularly with fried items, it's evident that higher standards are within reach. Still, three stars should not deter a visit. This remains one of the Delta's most appealing gathering spots. The waterfront setting, approachable pricing, generous portions, and engaging atmosphere create an experience that extends beyond the plate. It's a place where time stretches, conversations deepen, and the rhythm of the water sets the pace. I'll return, for something new on the menu, the view, and with the hope that the kitchen rediscovers the consistency needed to match its undeniable strengths.

I was holding off on writing a review until I had the chance to go a few times since the new head…read morechef came in and revamped the menu. Now that I have had two dinners, on March 5th and 27th, and a recent brunch, June 6, here is what I can conclude: The Food: Everything I have tried on the menu so far has been pretty flipping delicious beautifully, but not pretentiously, presented looking and tasting like a truly from scratch kitchen (which did not seem to be the case with the previous chef/menu). Standout mains included a beef stroganoff special, the fish and chips and possibly the best shrimp and grits (might be only a weekend brunch item?) I have ever had (to the point that I am likely to go back and have it again in the next week or two) Standout apps were the raw oysters (especially the in house pickled watermelon mignonette), the pulled pork sliders, brussel sprouts and recently a new buffalo style baby back ribs with shaved celery and blue cheese crumbles (it was so good my sister would not let us finish it so that she could take the last bite home to share with my brother in law and give him pointers) Standout desserts included the bread pudding and the cream brulee. The Drinks: Cocktails had a rougher start but were excellent in June. Back in March the cocktail menu seemed a bit confused. Several drinks I tried were incredibly unbalanced (and whether that was due to bad recipes or errors while executing said recipes who knows). I feel like they might not always have had an experienced bartender behind the bar, back in March, because one time it was something as simple as a gin & tonic that was accidentally made with plain soda because the syrup had run out and no one seemed to know how to help correct the issue. Whoever revamped the cocktail menu, please accept a huge THANK YOU! I will now be drinking my way through the menu over my next several visits. The standouts recently were the exceptional clarified milk punch cocktail called Sweet Disposition and the Strawberry Letter. The Service: Excellent. Everyone I have interacted with, especially the serving staff, have been attentive and took brief moments to make kind personal connections. One even gushed about how happy they have been seeing the changes implemented by this new incoming chef. The Venue: It has a relaxed golf course club room atmosphere with a main upstairs dining room and patio seating (weather permitting). There is also a downstairs area with an additional bar and space for live music (which seems to be a regular occurrence). I appreciated the separation which allowed for distinct vibes depending on your mood. My apologies that I have no picture to share (though the food and drinks were photo worthy) I was too busy enjoying myself.
