My husband and I live out of town and our daughter had a problem with her X5. We had researched her systems and thought a repair was going to be several thousand dollars. She brought it to DBMW and they were honest and found that it was only a loose bracket with some missing bolts. They fixed it for a couple hundred dollars. They could have very easily taken advantage of a young female bringing in her car to be fixed, but didn't. She said her car is running better than ever! You don't find a lot of honest people in the world today, it seems like everyone is out to take advantage of someone and make lots of money. So, I brought my car in for a Diagnostic on my BMW X5. Had the car 2 weeks and not once called me. I had to continue to call them. Was quoted 65-130 for the diagnostic. I get there to pick it up and they tell me 199. That they have more than that into it. After 5 min of thats what I was quoted they gave it to me for 130. Mind you I was told 130 was for a completed diagnostic and they still didnt know the issue. Drove by 4 days at different times stayed for about 1.5 hours each time and no one was ever looking at my car. Was disgusted with the Mercedes dealership on Atlantic where they had my vehicle for a month and still didn't fix it correctly. Just a total disaster since Fields took over and can't keep help. Tried DBMW. Paid them and they didn't even bother to still see the lights still on after paying them. Went right back and they claimed it was fixed. Parts sold at significant markup to the dealership prices online. Labor costs came in about 15-20% above initially quoted for exactly agreed upon jobs. Overall pricing is at dealership level or more, but lacking the overall experience. I was charged $335 peace meal for the diagnostic, whereas at dealership it is usually flat half that. Charging $130 out of that to test drive and confirm the car vibrates at braking, and need new rotors, seriously? When I dropped it off, I said suspension was previously checked out by the dealer, wheels straightened, new tires, alignment, balance, etc. The only to things left suspect of ruining second set of front rotors was old calipers and flexible break lines (which I told them about, not the other way around). Charging $130 to confirm that? Shop looks messy at best - more like a junk yard operation. Bought the car because second set of new rotors got warped after a 1k mile drive. They couldn't confirm why exactly and suggested trying new calipers. Calipers cost came in at $425 each whereas BMW dealers selling OEM for this model around $300. Front OEM rotors sell at $200, they charged $290. On top of that, I dropped of the car fit a full tank, and got it back at 7/8th. Must have been a really long test drive, I guess. I really see not point paying dealership prices without the matching training, certification, warranties, etc. Will not return, do not recommend. read more

I took my BMW 335 CI here to get my rear window repaired. They charged me $689 to repair and in 2 days the window stopped working. I took the car back to them and after 3 days I called to see if it was ready. They told me the top was broken and to come pick up the car because they could not repair the window until the top was fixed. In actuality they just didn't pull down the shelf in the trunk which they should have known !!! I picked the car up a WEEK later and they charged me another $490 to fix what they screwed up. I asked if they would at least take the labor off since THEY didn't fix it right the first time. They refused. They are greedy and dishonest and looked like idiots telling me my top was broken when it indeed was not. If you want to get ripped off go here. Liars and criminals. I was charged $700 dollars to replace 3 radiator hoses I found oem online for $150. As if that wasn't enough I was charged $150 dollars because I said , see if there's an easy fix to the stereo not working. Its still not working I got charged for 1.5 hrs .. all I said was if its obvious and there is an easy fix. I also made it very clear it wasn't worth any money to me. And if that wasn't enough I got charged 50 dollars just to look, literally look at my dash lights (abs) and confirm to me that yes the light is on. Soo $150 in radiator hoses cost me $1000 bucks ... like I said, criminal. Knew I wouldn't be back so they milked it. read more

I had chosen to come here over Tom Bush, due to the poor service with Tom Bush. I came here 4 times stating my car was shaking when breaking. After $1,400 of work done on my car to address this, it still persisted. On my fourth visit, I was informed my rotors were now warped. However, this was not caught any earlier, even after a break flush and multiple visits, they were not able to tell me my car was out of alignment which now costs me $400 to replace tires I just replaced. Just recently moved back to Jacksonville Beach, and I now own a BMW 330ci. Like an idiot, when my car wouldn't start one day, I took it to Tom Bush BMW, they took 2 days to even look at the car, then told me I needed a new starter and quoted me almost $800 and said it would take 2 MORE days to do the repair. So, just to get a second opinion, I had the car towed to DBMW in Jacksonville Beach. Within 2 hours of dropping the car off, they fixed the issue - a loose wire - and reluctantly charged me $60 for their time. When you start your car in the morning and can instantly tell there is a major problem...then all kinds of lights are flashing...it's just not a good day. I did a quick web search and saw that there was a mechanic that dealt with german cars less than a half mile away from my home. I crossed my fingers and called to see if they could take a look at my car the next day. They could! I brought my car in at 8am (when they opened), I was terribly nervous that this was going to be expensive and take a long time. BUT NO! They quickly diagnosed the issue, suggested the course of action, I gave them the go ahead. Less than 90 minutes after arriving, I was leaving with a fully functioning car and less than half of what I expected to pay. I have found my new mechanic and I will never have to go to the VW dealer again! Took my BMW here recently and had it worked on by Jimmy. I left a dollar in the console to see how honest they were and it was missing when the car came back. They shouldn't even be going through your console to replace a coolant reservoir. They charged me 350.00 to replace the coolant reservoir. They wanted another 350.00 to replace each of my door's window regulators. Can't say I recommend them for price or honesty but I don't have any more coolant leaks. So if the first two things I mentioned aren't important to you, I'd take my car here. read more
