Had a great experience for a little spa-day on my birthday. My mom and I both got gel pedicures, which were thorough, calming and well done, and in addition I got a gel manicure and eyebrow wax. I wish i could give 0 stars. Jennifer, literally cut the skin on my toes and made it bleed. She was to busy on the phone and not paying attention to where she's cutting. She had to much going on while doing my pedicure. On top of the that, she was going entirely to fast when it came time to cut the cuticles. After she cut me, she basically ignored me being in pain. When i went to pay, she expected me to pay full price without acknowledging my swollen toe or how upset i was. Unfortunately the manager/owner wasn't there. I WILL NEVER COME BACK! read more

While the nail tech who did my nails was incredibly kind and easy to talk to, I was more than disappointed in my $60 manicure when it was over. When I arrived, I told them I wanted the Healthy Nail and in a French manicure, to which they said no problem. Two and a half hours later, I walked out with what was pictured below (first three pictures). My fingers were swelling from how much he grinned them down on the sides and hurt so bad. I had this crusty build up all up and down the sides of my nails and over my cuticles. My nails were so thick they stuck out from my fingers unnaturally. I didn't go back because I didn't want them touching my nails anymore, particularly because of the pain. A week later, I took another picture of my nails... they started peeling up at the bed of the nail (see last three pictures). I've never seen anything like that... it was so bad my hair was getting caught under them. I just went to another nail salon to have them fix my nails and they told me what was on my nails was not Healthy Nail at all but a form of dip acrylic. I was pissed to say the least. My nail tech had to completely reshape my nails to fix them and he did a wonderful job! They are exactly what I asked for, and honestly one of the best shaped nail sets I've ever had. I just went to get my nails done at DC&Y Nails. I love them! The nail tech's name is Tom. I usually get gel polish only but today he suggested Healthy Nail dip powder. I don't like dip powder because I feel that it makes my nails unnatural looking, but I trusted Tom's suggestion. He did an amazing job! Not only are my nails strong, they look great! A lot of women are insecure about body hair, including myself. I went in to get my cheeks and lip waxed and the woman who did it was disrespectful and had no reason to make a comment about my peach fuzz. She told me "oh wow" when she was going to start the sides of my face. Women shouldn't make other women feel that but. Very disappointed with DC&Y Nails. After 2 years coming here. Recommended to my daughter, Michele. She had a pedi yesterday and went to use her $100 gift certificate that was purchased for her, and was told by Bella (the owner's sister) that it was expired. We both looked at said certificate and nowhere on it does it state expires after one year. Bella claimed "we tell you that when you buy." She was unprofessional, rude and condescending. On top of this, she continously spoke to her staff in their language and ignored me. When I asked her the manager's name (who she called on her cell phone), and also told us it's expired, she told me "I don't know" to which I answered, well how do you not know your sister's (the owner/manager) name? She rudely said "Judy". I asked her last name and Bella stated "I don't know." Really, stealing money for services not provided, now lying. Horrible business etiquette and experience for us. My experience at this place was not good. I felt insulted, pushed and I was extremely unhappy with my nails and waxing services. I am truly upset by the way I was treated by the nail technician Jen. She repeatedly insulted me on why I couldn't get $30 to get my nails done sooner. She was jerking my fingers and was angry the entire time. She continued to softly insult me in order to push upsells. I felt horrible when I left and now have to pay more in order to get them fixed properly. I would not recommend this establishment. I never write nasty reviews but this really offended me. read more

I always made appt' for 9am with the same tech the last time my appt was given to a walk-in and I had to use a diff tech. If you make an appt you should get the person you made it with.
