    Leslie D.

I am a disabled Senior Lady with two autoimmune diseases, one of which is Multiple Sclerosis. My one luxury is a pedicure and due to my medical conditions, I am physically unable to pedicure my own toes. Because of my financial situation, I am only able to afford a pedicure every other month. Back in January and today, March 21st, I was made to feel like a 2nd class citizen by the Owner, Sky. In January, she asked me WHY she was doing my pedicure as she's the owner and "I don't do pedicures" was the response I was given just as her lunch was delivered. I reminded her that the first time I entered her salon last year with an appointment, they had scheduled me with Jaylee who was not able to cut my toenails properly as she didn't know how to use toenail nippers and regular nail clippers don't work with toenails (with fingernails - yes). When Sky saw that Jaylee wasn't skilled enough with the nippers, she stepped in and did my pedicure, which she was very proficient in doing and gives a very nice pedicure. Then after, I always scheduled my pedicure appointments with her until her big announcement in January. Today, I walk in and what do I see? Sky bent over a pedicure chair pedicuring a rather well-to-do elderly lady that was dressed very nicely for a pedicure. She was dressed up like you would for a rather important social event. First, I was shocked, then hurt, and then just plain angry. I abhor being lied to, so I said to the new nail technician that was to do my pedicure that "since Sky no longer does pedicures than I guess you'll be stuck with me". I said it in a joking manner, but deep inside I was very upset. I had been very happy having Sky do my pedicures and she just shunned me and forced me to be relegated to using someone else who clearly doesn't have her skill set. As soon as she finished her client's pedicure, she walked out of the salon. When she finally came back in, she wouldn't even look me in the face. Then she just abruptly left and stayed gone the whole time and this pedicure took over 1 1/2 hours because again, this young lady acted scared to cut my toenails with toenail nippers. I think she was just not very experienced or confident using them. Another time, when my Rheumatoid Arthritis was flaring causing my feet to be very, very tender, I had pulled my foot back because handling it was causing me quite the discomfort and I apologized to Sky for having done so and she asked me "Why don't you come more often, then it wouldn't hurt?" and I responded: "Because I can't afford to!" Is this how you show compassion and treat an elderly lady with not affording her some dignity? Every time I was there, I paid in cash because they charge a 3% surcharge for using a bank debit card and every time I tipped her a 23% gratuity. I was always congenial even though she barely spoke to or interacted with me while doing my pedicures for almost a year. I just chalked it up to her being an introvert. Seniors, I cannot recommend this salon after the treatment I experienced there. Disabled people, I cannot recommend it either as there was no sensitivity dealing with me being handicapped.

Great experience here! Me and my friend went to get manicures, and I opted for a manicure + french tip dip powder service, and I couldn't be happier with the result. We had to wait a bit as we were walk-ins, but we expected that, and it was totally worth the wait. Manicure was extremely thorough and the powder itself was applied very nicely, and I'm super happy with the result (my friend got gel, not pictured but hers were also very pretty). The overall atmosphere was very nice, it was a small place but it felt more personal that way, if that makes sense. Will definitely be back for my next manicure!

Wonderful little nail spa! They did such an incredible job on my nail, toes, and brows. They took their time giving me such a great experience I haven't had in a very long time. I got a French on both my toes and hands and it looks so precise and perfect. I could go on and on. They also asked me twice if I wanted coffee, tea, or water. So quiet and peaceful.

Nail polish was watered down and technician never offered to change polish when I said something as he started to put it on.

I've went to this salon 2 times now. I'm picky with my nails so I checked their IG first…read more@studio47nails & loved the work. Looks like a place that has talented nail tech all in 1 suite unlike a chop shop. First time: I booked with daynailed.it on IG. I booked the wrong service bc I didn't know the difference from hard gel & regular gel but she was so accommodating. She was upfront with me & said that she would only have time for a solid color or she would have to pass me off to a fellow nail tech for the French. I was okay with this, I didn't mind at all to be worked between 2 people, I was just happy to have a good set before my vacay. She was nice and even recommended to check out some of her coworkers work & she even encouraged me to book with them if I needed to which was so refreshing to see her lift up other girls!! 10/10 experience. The other girl who painted my nails did a great job with the French as you can see! There was some miscommunication with the length but it all worked out in the end. Paid $80 something (nails only) Second time: I booked with luxe_.nails from IG and I booked a bundle deal for acrylic short/med & gel toes. When I got there I asked if I can switch it to hard gel like last time & she said the price would change bc it would no longer be the bundle deal. I said okay . It was $3 more which I really didn't mind bc it's my birthday nails. I showed her my inspo pic (which I checked out her IG before I booked & saw she's very skillful and will most likely be able to do a simple tapered square). We added a tip which was very curved not the straight tip. It immediately made my natural nails look like clubbed fingers & even the nail tech next to her made a comment about how curved they were. She said she ran out of her usual but these should work bc we're going super short. One thing about me, I will never tell a professional how to do their job therefore I trusted she would make them work to what I asked for. Long story short they came out like duck nails (like the pic I took while sitting to get my toes done) I asked her to file it more thin like the pic. She filed & asked if it was ok, I said no I would like them more narrow. I asked if I can even come back tomorrow to have them fixed bc I had church in the next 20 mins but she offered to file more. I said ok bc I respect people's schedule. She later told me that she can't file anymore bc it would take away the paint & said something about my nail beds. I left like that, my toes clearly not cured properly. I will most likely be going somewhere else to get both services redone being that it is my birthday which I had mentioned. Nice girl but for this, I don't think I will be returning. Paid $108 w/ tip included. Still tipped bc I'm not a monster.

This was my first time at this salon. I decided to give it a try since most of the reviews on here…read morewere good. I had made an appt. for a regular mani/pedi. An older gentleman that goes by "T" took care of me. He did a nice job, but his massage on the legs was just rubbing. He did massage one hand and forgot the other, oops! They throw in a sugar scrub on the calves as well as hot stones and of course the hot steamed towels. This is included for a regular pedicure. He almost left my right foot with just one coat of polish. I had to remind him to double coat that one. It was a Monday, so maybe not a good day to go there? There was only one other client in there while I was there and there were 3 technicians - a lady, "T" and I guess the owner (who did nothing but play with his phone). The positives? It's a beautiful shop, nicely decorated with 5 nail technician stations and 6 pedicure chairs and the chairs look brand new. They have the most extensive selection of nail polishes (gel and regular) I have ever seen that covered 3 walls. They seem to have a room to do waxing in and a bathroom. There's a fancy hot towel steam machine too. The downsides? The place is kind of cluttered and needs to be better organized to appreciate the beauty of the interior. Cold water to soak my fingers in (I'm used to most places using warm). I have been used to Chinese technicians and these folks were Vietnamese and not much into massaging. They are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays (days I typically like to go). After I was all done, then T tried to sell me his reflexology services which I declined. He gave me a sample rub and it felt like the regular massages I got by the Chinese techicians. Then he became a "chatty Kathy" and wanted to talk about real younger girls marrying older men. I thought it was kind of an odd topic to discuss with a new client, especially one who is a Senior. Oh well... I don't think they get a lot of foot traffic in there because it's in an office complex that sets way back from the main highway. I paid $45 for my combo as ALL the prices in our area have shot up since the pandemic.

Just rude. Came in at 2 on a Sunday and they said they were booked for the day... No hello, no…read moreeffort to make another appointment. Nothing.
