Very dissatisfied Called to have my fridge repaired as it was leaking water from the bottom. I was told I needed a new filter so they ordered a new one then broke the filter housing when replacing the filter. After three visits and over $800 my fridge still leaks! Never use this service! This guy is awful and completely rude. We called for a dishwasher repair. He ordered a new drain pump and installed it. Didn't tell us where he ordered the part from. Watched it "work" for 1 min of the cycle, then left. When we ran a full cycle, the drain didn't work. We called him and texted him multiple times with no reply. We called another person who told us that the pump was bad and should have a warranty if purchased brand new. So, we reached out to Danny, and he has yet to respond. This guy came out to fix our stove, determined that the hinges were bad on the front door, and called in to find out that they don't make the hinges any more. That's fine. They seem to be available online, but if he doesn't do that, it's up to him. The problem we had with this guy was that we also asked him to take a look at the garbage disposal, which was making noise, but didn't seem to be working. He flipped the switch, took a glance udner the counter, and declared that the whole thing was shot and needed to be replaced. It seemed like a pretty fast diagnosis, but hey, he's the expert, right? 2 hours later my dad is over for a visit, and we mentioned the disposal. He flipped the switch, turned ito ff, and asked for a broom. He stuck it down in there for a second, flipped the switch again, and it's working. My dad is a real estate tax expert. So I'd expect the appliance repair expert to know a little more. The whole deal felt a little shady, and we started to realize...he couldn't fix the thing we called him out to fix, and when we showed him the disposal, he jumped at is as an opportunity to still make a buck. We were quoted $250 P/L for fixing something that wasn't broken. When we called him back to let him know the thing wasn't broken, he got pretty irate about it. He was pretty insistant that he be paid at least for the service call, which is normally something of value, but we told him no one wanted to pay for the opportunity to be scammed and overcharged. Moreover, we rent, and he's supposed to be dealing with our landlord. I'm guessing he knows she won't pay him, so he was trying to get something out of us. I'm leaving 2 stars instead of 1, because I'm nice, and maybe he wasn't really trying to scam us but really just doesn't know anything about garbage disposals. But if you're an appliance repair guy who doesn't know about some appliances, and ends a hunt for a discontinued part after one phone call, your expertise is sorely lacking. I'd call this guy out if you need like...I don't know. Some screws tightened or something. Otherwise, he probably can't handle it. read more

Fraud, our washer was leaking water and the diagnosis was a bad drain pump. This was replaced a year earlier so my husband decided to look at it. The service fee was $90 and the repair quote was for $528. My husband fixed it with a $13 hose replacement, after Danny assured me that he witnessed the pump leaking. Fridge made a bad noise and got HOT! Called around and no one could come for 4 days but then I called DC Appliance Repairs. He was here in 4 hours, not 4 days. Offered me clear concise explanations and all of my options. We came up with the best and least expensive. PROFESSIONAL AND KIND, even to my whacky dogs! I highly recommended. read more

Poor customer service. They won't answer the phone. We spent over $500 and our fridge broke again with the same problems within weeks. They won't tell you where they get their parts from. They are a scam. Danny is rude and unprofessional on top of it. We have to call another repair company now. I feel cheated. It's awful. read more

Danny came quickly when I called about my fridge. We needed a new water valve and compressor. It was pricey but less than replacing the fridge. Our house is older and didn't have a water cut off inside the house. He added that piece as well for an extra $30. It was a rather long process that ended up being more work than he anticipated but he stuck with it and got it done for the price he quoted. So far so good! This guy Danny is absolutely a FRAUD, I was having an SD error on my washer. He came to look at my washer on a Thursday and said I needed a pump. Charged me 332.00. Tried to charge me an overnight fee of an additional 65.00 which I didn't pay because he didn't come back until Monday. Put the pump in and turned on the washer, but didnt run a cycle, so I told him I had things to wash so I would let him know how it goes. It was 8:30 pm and I wanted him out. (Single Mom with a kid). IMMEDIATELY called him back the same night no answer. It took him 6 days to finally answer and come back to my house to act like he was going to fix my washer. He said he was going to research something and I haven't heard from him since. He won't answer the phone. Trying to support small business in your community, waste of time and Money!! Called to get an appointment on Monday, and was told he could arrive between 2-4pm. I explained that I didn't get home from work until 6pm. So he said to give him a call when I arrived home. Figured when we spoke that evening, it would be to schedule another time later in the week. He actually arranged to come that same evening! He arrived at 6:45pm. He diagnosed the problem, explained in detail what it would cost to fix it. He was able to get the part the next day, and he came by after hours (7:30pm) to fix it! Our fridge/freezer is working again! I simply cannot say enough about how knowledgeable, accommodating and professional he was. It was also comforting that he used the latest in credit card technology gadgets which allowed him to be paid by card without him having a way to store any of my credit card information! I highly recommend DC Appliance and will use him for all of our future needs. read more
