The dealership was trying to charge me and arm and leg to get it fixed so my brother helped me look around. I am so thankful he found this place! It's a local family owned business. Daniel was very responsive and communicative. He was honest and gave us a fair quote to get the work done. It took him about a day to replace the hoses and spark plugs. He worked pretty quickly and I was able to get my car back up and running smoothly. He went above and beyond and even gave me a lift back to my car once I dropped it off. I have trust issues with mechanics because 99% of them suck and are dishonest, but Daniel is a stand-up guy and so are his employees (they showed me some worn suspension parts and why they need replacement). I just got scammed out of $2600 and my car is worse than what I brought it in for. This is how my experience went.. I have 2013 Altima. I work from home so I don't drive much. Lately my car to me felt like I needed shocks and struts. Through a recommendation I took my car to DC mobile repair. I called first and spoke Daniel. Brought my car in 1st thing on a Saturday morning. We take it for a test drive. Ok so during the test drive Daniel asked me about the flag I having hanging in my car. Then a few other personal questions. Ok red flag maybe eh... so hours later he calls me and tells me my car needs: front wheel bearings both sides, motor mount, brakes all around, filters and a tune up $2600. He sent me a video of the motor mount only that honestly looked loose broken whatever it was it didn't look good. I said ok so shocks and struts are ok, he said yes but I really need all the other things. Only he can do to help is reduce by $150. I was reluctant trust me I was but I know my car wasn't driving right. 4 days later I get the car back. Within I would say 2 weeks I hear and or feel like a scraping noise when I brake. But.. it didn't happen all the time and I don't drive that often. I finally started hearing it more and more so I call Daniel he said bring it in. Daniel and I do a quick test run and he heard it but here is the major red flag. During that test drive Daniel really started asking me personal questions. Do I like jazz, do I have a boyfriend, I have a nice body, how old am I. Extremely unprofessional and gives off creepy pervert vibes. I told him I'm not interested and also confirmed with him that his spouse works there as well. Hours later he calls me and guess what he said what was wrong and what I needed.. yup.. shocks, struts, back wheel bearings and I have a bad control arm. Now I'm pissed. I told him I just paid him $2600 less than two months ago and less than 100 miles. I said I can't afford all that and also reminded him i mentioned my shocks and struts when I 1st brought it in. He then said let me see what I can do. Call some friends for parts. He gives me a quote on the back bearings .. I said NO , at this time give me my car back and I'll take it elsewhere. He said he will look at the car again.. finally he tells me oh my control arm is fine.. he found something scraping on my back brake pad so he replaced it and packed my bearings but when I have money bring it back. I showed up with a guy to pick up my car. The look on Daniel's face. He wanted to go for another test drive. No thank you Daniel and I will never bring my car back there again! Car drives like crap now, worse than when I first brought it in. Lastly.. he called and texted me the following day to see how it's driving. I told him like crap and he needs to focus more on his work than flirting with women. He was apologetic and told me if I buy the parts they will fix no labor...yea.. like that's gonna happen. I should have went with my gut I would have saved myself a lot of money and time. Stay away from this place! read more

My friend recommended me to check this place out when I couldn't turn on my car at all. I called them in the evening and scheduled to have my car inspected the next morning. It was nice that Daniel kept me in the loop the whole day and told me what was happening with my car in detail. The owner Daniel Cruz and a mechanic came to my home, did a temp fix and drove the car to his shop. They fixed the promlem and Mr. Cruz drove my car back to my home the next day. I called to request a quote to have my drive shaft rear universal joint replaced. They told me over the phone it was $220 to do one but recommended I replaced both. I then asked how much it was for front and rear and was told $240 since the shaft was off it was only a little more. Good deal right.... Wrong. I dropped my truck off and 2 hours later I go to pay and was told it's $420. I questioned why it was so much since I provided the 2 u-joints and was told I misunderstood the quote and it cost 240 per joint to replace. $420 for less than 2 hours of labor. I got charged $210 per hour for this shop to remove and replace 8 bolts on my drive shaft and swap u joints. Insane. If they would have told me on the phone that it was $420 for both I wound have bought an impact driver and replaced them in a parking lot. It's not hard. Place is a rip off and will scam you. Don Daniel really went above and beyond in his kindness with my car, which had issues with the ignition coils. They ran a quick diagnostic and fixed it well. As a student whose family is out of state, Mr. Daniel went above and beyond in talking to my dad on FaceTime showing him the issue and how he planned to fix it (good value of the service, too, especially on a student budget). This is the kind of family-oriented and supportive business I love to support. Plus, it took them less than three hours to get it all up in tip top shape. I took my 2007 Honda Civic in with what I thought might have been an issue with the ignition switch and paid $456 to have the ignition switch repaired (double the cost of other shops). When I went to pick up the car I was told that my starter was failing and that I would have issues "soon". 2 days later the car would not start. I took it back in and the quote to fix the starter was another $718. At that point, I left and replaced the starter on my own with a friend for $180. When I questioned Danny about why the starter was not repaired the first time, I was told that I specifically asked to have the ignition switch repaired, which struck me as missing the big picture. A more thoughtful mechanic would have taken the time to diagnosis the actual problem, instead of making a quick buck. Reviews are positive but might be inflated because discounts are offered for favorable reviews. I think Danny probably gives established clients/friends better prices and is looking out for them. This wasn't my experience though. In the future I will be looking for a mechanic with superior diagnostic capabilities and more fair pricing. Danny seems to treat his employees well and compensates them fairly which I appreciate. Figure I would end on a positive note. read more
