It's good to deal with a shop where the owner is in charge and maintains a high standard. Brian and his crew are the best I've found. The fees may not be the lowest, but the quality of work is very high. Since I had a bid already, Brian was able to work with me on fees to basically match it. The work was finished in four hours (two struts and sway bar linkage installed on a 2009 CRV). Rattling noise was gone. They did the little things that count: they didn't keep me waiting while answering phone questions, they remembered my name when I returned to pick up my car, they gave me confidence that I was getting the honest answers to my car's issues, they didn't overcharge. I am very disappointed writing this review because I genuinely thought I could trust this repair shop. Before dropping off my SUV, I specifically called to confirm that they work on Jeeps. I was assured that they service this type of vehicle all the time. However, after performing a quick inspection and charging me an inspection fee for an estimate, the mechanic informed me that they could not repair the vehicle and advised me to take it somewhere else. Had I been told from the beginning that they were unable or unwilling to perform the repair, I would have taken my vehicle elsewhere and avoided the wasted time and expense. Charging a diagnostic fee only to tell a customer you can't do the work is frustrating and left me feeling misled. Unfortunately, this experience did not inspire confidence, and I cannot recommend this shop based on how my situation was handled. read more

Nothing but honesty, class, and service from this repair shop. Been here twice and both times I received great service. First was for an oil change, which was quick and easy for a fair price. This time I had the skid plate on the bottom of my Honda Civic hanging off the bottom of my car and scraping the road beneath as I drove. I had a similar issue in the past where the Honda dealership charged me ~$270 to fully replace when I was certain it could just be bolted back on. 2006 Ford F250 6.8L 3v V10 with 123K miles - Faulty pegging coolant temp gauge only when towing 10k up long highway grades. This is a great shop. Made appointment, heard and documented everything I explained, discussed some potential causes. They ran diagnostics on the truck and everything was in proper working order, They determined the likely cause was the cyl engine temp sensor that was deep under the manifold, a 3-4 hour job to access and replace a $40 sensor. There was no way to access the sensor without removing the entire intake manifold. Got the truck back on day 2 and tested it by towing the same 10k trailer up a long grade from a stop, full throttle until 65 mph was reached. The temp increased to 208f before the crest and started working itself back down to 201f before even making it to the crest. The truck is 100% fixed. Everyone here is friendly, courteous, timely, and take pride in their work. They are reasonably priced and most importantly deliver on what they say they will do. Definitely recommend this shop. So glad I found them here on Yelp. read more

I brought my car to this shop as it was jerking back and forth when accelerating. We dropped it off in the morning, and a couple of hours later, the guy from the shop called and told us the issue might be resolved if we filled up the gas tank. When we went to pick it up, we immediately noticed a warning light on the dashboard. We asked about it, and he plugged in a scanner, saying it might be a transmission problem. Despite paying $150, we left without a clear answer as to why the car was jerking. We did as he suggested and filled the tank, but the problem persisted. Eventually, I took the car to another mechanician recommended by a friend. He charged $90 for a thorough diagnosis, carefully analyzing each line from the scanner results, and actually fixed the issue within a couple of hours. Although this shop has good Yelp reviews, my experience was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend them--it felt like a waste of time and money. read more

They did the oil change on my truck a few years back, and just today they did the wheel bearings on my girlfriend's Subaroo. Brought it in around noon and they were done by 5. No screwy scummy stuff. Friendly workers who were transparent about what they saw as necessary to be done and not for an overdue car service, and were patient to hear if I wanted to add or remove anything. Also took the time to explain why some things were much higher priority than others things. Lastly they knocked off some labor hours to help make it more affordable. My car broke down while traveling in San Diego and instead of just being a bum battery, it turned out to be the alternator. Oh man! I was camping in my car and now I was stuck in an AutoZone parking lot. I had been give 3 different numbers to call from a warranty service I had on some other work, but I didn't have a regular mechanic in town. When I called Morena Automotive, Brian answered the phone with a friendly tone and told me to bring it on over before the end of the day. (After Auto Zone had fully recharged my battery so at least I could get to the shop) They got me in early the next day and even stayed late to finish the car before quitting time!! What a relief!! Todd did the work and really gave me the feeling that he knew what he was doing. I liked the job so much, I had them change the starter the next day!!
