A lot of paint splatters on banisters, screens, etc. they said they'd touch up spots on the ceiling as a part of the price, but then said they couldn't paint match. They did not paint the window sill area at all. Some finishes they used were different than others, so the wall was shiny in certain areas. They did offer to come and fix the mistakes. They cleaned their brushes in my bathroom sink and left bristles in the drain when they were done. They were friendly, but I got quotes for less that probably would have done a more professional job. read more

DC Painting epoxy painted my garage floor and patio ceilings. Their work looks nice. Unfortunately, though, they can't be trusted. I was not at home when they did the work and made the mistake of leaving the door leading from the garage to the inside of my home unlocked. Apparently, they invited themselves inside of my home and helped themselves to my washing machine. I found out after washing a load of clothes and finding a bunch of the flakes from their epoxy product in my washer and on my washed clothes. (YUCK!) Also, once the owner was paid, he got a bad attitude and did not want to provide any customer service. If you decide to use them, I suggest you sit there and watch them like a hawk, because they are unethical and can't be trusted, AND get all of your questions answered and everything you need BEFORE you pay them, because once the owner gets your money, his attitude changes and he doesn't want you asking him for anything at all. I hired DC Painting to paint a wrought iron fence in front of my house as well as all of my doors. Let me start with a back story. My wrought iron fence was installed by Artistic Iron, and it needed painting in 2015. I contacted them and asked if there was anything special I needed to know about hiring a painter. They recommended a painter they said they used, a guy name Samuel. He was ridiculously overpriced -- job cost $9,000 for the fence, the doors and my eaves. It was sloppy, took a long time and in 2017, I already needed to do it again. I came across DC Painting on Angie's List and had David come out to give me an estimate. It was just going into summer in Las Vegas and it was a scorching hot summer. He explained to me about the best type of paint to use for the fence, and how I should wait a bit to paint until it wasn't so hot so the job would last longer and look better. He did the fence and the doors (not the eaves) and charged me $2,690. I am thoroughly pleased. Unlike Samuel, it was done quickly and professionally and he didn't paint my pavers or the curb or the street. There were runs and all these numerous other errors that Samuel made. I decided to paint the exterior of my house, so I interviewed 12 local painting companies to get bids. What an eye-opener! Some had no license, some lowballed the job, some had a 2-line scope of work and wanted to proceed on a spit-and-a handshake, and one was successfully sued by the US Labor Dept to the tune of $3.5M! I was losing hope -- until I spoke with DC Painting. I got a fair price, a detailed scope of work (incl custom options for paint type and all needed repairs), a video of how they work, proof of insurance and bonds, and no upfront deposit. Most of all, I got the assurance of the owner that his crew would do the work right the first time. Indeed they did! Interviewing painters is time consuming and stressful. Several homes around the neighborhood were being repainted this spring. I interviewed 5, each giving the same pitch, all but one similarly priced, and eventually hired DC painting. I never saw David on sight but his guys seemed nice and helpful. Day 1 was prep and seemed to go well until I noticed a broken solar landscape light. Day 2 the painting began. It's early spring so most plants are still dormant. I have a beautiful Magnola tree that I asked for them to take care and they repeated David with reassuring me things would be covered and pulled back. Yeah no, branches nearest the house were broken off leaving a huge gap and me to clean reminents. I called David. The front door paint bubbled, overspray, hole left unfilled, incomplete garage sealing, sloppy spray under the eaves, paint not sticking to door frame. David started with excuses so I didn't bother with addition issues. His guys left a lot of trash for us to clean up. No one informed me of the solar light, which was one of a set of 6 from Wayfair. I had planned on returning the tools the workers left behind but I was so disappointed with David's reply I just walked back into the house. WOW... David came out a few days ago and gave my husband an estimate. We had the outside of our house painted. His team was extremely professional. They caulked all around the outside fixtures and taped over the windows. When they were on the roof they noticed we had two broken roof tiles, they said if we bought them they would replace them.
