I called to set up an appointment for an estimate. Scheduled Tuesday at 2:15, nobody showed up. Called them around 3:30, no answer, no response. Called them a couple hours after that, they rescheduled for Thursday. Thursday came and went, no call, no answer. Called them Friday, no answer. Called again on Saturday, the person who answered seemed frustrated that nobody came out for the estimate, said he would call back. Never heard back from them. Very unreliable. Would prefer a big fat 0 or even negative 1. In May, David Corona and his men came to DG my backyard. About three weeks later, (after skimming off the large pebbles) I noticed there were very loose sand and gravel in different parts of the yard. So loose that if I were to keep skimming off the top, it would be yard dirt. I called him a couple of times before he responded. On June 2, he said he'd stop by around noon to look... No show. I called at 1p.m., he apologized and said he'd completely forgotten me. Said he'd be by around 3. 5pm came. I texted him and he said he'd decided to stay in Santa Barbara and would come by on way back the following morning. On June 3, around 11a.m. he stopped by. Agreed there were loose areas and that he'd dropped off stabilizers and come back to compress. NOTHING On June 29 I texted him and reminded him of what he said on June 3...NO RESPONSE. I texted him on July 27 (a full 3 weeks) and again reminded him of the problem that he SAID he'd fix. No response. I finally told him I needed to hear from him before I contacted BBB. Finally a text from him that said he did everything correctly and if I am unhappy with DG it is my fault. I had also advised that his workers dislodged or broke a sprinkler head that was about 6" from the border and for a week there was water in my yard... (we had not used the system for 8 years). His workers also took my rake. He offered to send me a gift card for the rake. I asked that he refund me 1/3 of what I had paid as only 2/3 was done correctly. His response is that how can it be different when the same process was done for the whole area and I am wrong. COMPLETE 180 from what he observed and said on June 3. What a great experience. I found DC Rock Soil on Yelp, having run into a wall when looking for a pink or red decomposed granite for our 2,700 sqft landscaping job. Turns out any color beside dirt brown is rather hard to find. David had a beautiful pink color that we could not find from anyone else in the Valley. He was very responsive and helpful in determining how much we needed, he even drove me sample options. The dg was delivered on time and looks amazing! I won't retell my experience because it makes me so sad and I'm not going to give this person the satisfaction to know how much he hurt me and my family. It was a two month nightmare of egregious unprofessionalism and run around -- it would be unethical of me to not warn others in Ventura/LA county of this company. This clown butchered my sprinkler system. I had to call out another service to totally redo his work. He advertises that he is a licensed contractor but that is simply a lie. Not only is he unlicensed, he uses a P.O. Box to avoid being found. I'm suing this puke and filing a complaint with the Ventura DA. read more

We hired this guy to put in a drainage system in our back yard. He guaranteed his work and said he would take care of any problems. We paid him $1800 for the work and when we asked him to take care of a problem, he did nothing for us. There is no guarantee for his work and you will hire him at your risk. If you hire him, do not pay him until you are 100% satisfied but even then if a future problem arises, do not count on him coming back to take care of it. read more

Dave gave me a price of $425 to replace 3 control heads, find & repair a leak, and install an inline shut-off. Then in the middle of the job told me he ran into a problem and it was going to be $150 more. When he was almost done, we turned it on and there was a gigantic leak that flooded the back yard. He tried to tell me the open pipe had always been there and it wasn't anything he did. We logically figured out it had to be his error, but he insisted it wasn't. We agreed that if I dug everything up and proved it, he would fix it. I dug it all out and proved it, so he came back and fixed it, but didn't finish off the job. I had to call him repeatedly and eventually he came back but only to get some tools he forgot. He said he'd be right back and never came. I had to fill in the hole and trench myself. He gave me excuses about his mom being sick, and other family problems. The work was slipshod, and I would recommend finding someone else. read more
