From our initial meeting to designing a new kitchen and floors (replacing carpet to LVP), Ventura was incredibly helpful. After replacing windows first, we then had Ventura install solid wood, soft close cabinets and new floors. The whole experience was great. After the job was complete, I noticed that one plank seemed lighter than the others in the room which bothered me. Without hesitation, Ventura sent a team out an replaced the plank no questions asked for customer service. What can I say, my son used another flooring company in Simi Valley who cracked their floor on a threshold and would do nothing, I asked for an aesthetics issue and they were right there. We were referred to Ventura Flooring by a friend. It's no wonder our friend recommended them. In a nutshell, they were amazing. We couldn't be happier with the work they did. Sure, it was a messy process as is any construction you do, but they did a great job of minimizing the mess. Colin walked us through everything that would happen and he was spot on too. I went in to Ventura Flooring to see what laminate flooring options they had and what prices I might be looking at. I was in the market to replace 3 bedroom carpets (555 SqFt) with flooring. The salesperson, Sal, was quick, responsive, and helpful. The showroom had great options, and the ability to take samples home was great. Ultimately we went with Ventura Flooring instead of Flooring101, for the following reasons: 1) They were VERY transparent with pricing. Pricing question resulted in immediate responces without hesitation. Flooring101 was the opposite. 2) Fantastic value. Once I got the pricing, I compared it to the pricing I got from Flooring101. This is the best Flooring company in town, honest with their pricing, professional, in addition to high quality material and craftsmanship. I had a previous flooring company that I was using who wouldn't even call me back. Thanks to Yelp reviews, I found this Ventura Flooring company, just trusted about what I read and went to the showroom located in Simi Valley. I was greeted by Hami who was so nice, not pushy at all, let me take my time to look and asked me few questions of what I was looking for. I showed him a picture from Pinterest of the Vinyl Flooring color that I was thinking of, he was able to match it, and recommended a commercial grade type of flooring, he was even able to give me a pretty accurate quote right then from his computer since I had the square footage. The whole process was less than an hour because I already had the color theme in mind. At that time, I was in escrow and I wanted to make sure to have flooring scheduled so that I could move in at a certain time period. Hami gave a super reasonable quote, scheduled a tentative date for me (in case closings changes on my end). When the day before install, he called and confirmed, his team of 5 guys arrived on time to my new home, demo and installed all in one day, my home wasn't very big only 1200 sq ft, but still thats amazing!!!! The team was phenomenal, they were professional and stayed until I inspected their work, and made sure that I was happy before they left. I was so ecstatic with their work that I even gave them a gratuity (they don't and didn't expect it of course). I have been telling all my colleagues and friends about this Flooring company. I'm writing this review because that's how I was able to trust and go try this company for my needs. I have walked into other local flooring companies in the past and they are terrible and unprofessional. I hope if anyone reads my review, just know that I this is the best company in town, all you have to do is drop in, talk to Hami and he will take great care of you. Wow!! Just WOW!! I have a condo with 33-year-old carpet that needed an upgrade to laminate flooring and Colin @ Ventura Flooring was terrific in suggesting some great floor ideas. I waited a few weeks and three guys came over on time and got to work moving my furniture around and ripping out my yucky carpet. From 8:30am to 3:30pm they worked tirelessly and quickly, putting in laminate flooring that looked awesome! They cleaned everything up, and even repurposed some custom baseboards! Fantastic work! Phenomenal customer service and an awesome product, highly recommend Ventura Flooring!!! We worked with Hami from our very first visit to the store front. He is extremely knowledgeable and helped us choose the best laminate product to stand up to our large dog. Hami gave us an initial estimate that was not only more affordable, but included a much better product than any other local competitor. Hami followed up at our home for measurements and we were able to get an install date about a week later. In fact, they even called and offered to move up our install date a day earlier. Hami's install crew took care of moving all the large furniture, full demo of our current flooring, and haul away. Even though our old flooring had been installed poorly and required a tremendous amount of extra labor, Hami stuck to his word and it was all included in our price. Hami personally came to the job site four times to check on the status of his crew, provided us extra flooring, and ensured all our baseboards were repaired and or replaced. Hami is the most patient, knowledgeable, good-humored and kind man you've ever met. I had no idea how much I needed him in the middle of the insanity of our home renovation! Every time I sent him a panicked message he was calling me back, getting on FaceTime and finding solutions and making my life easier. Every. Single. Time. Who does that? I have a long list of reasons to love this business, accumulated over 6 very long months, while this saint was there for us, ever step of the way and waited for us to be ready for the installation! 1, Hami went to bat with Shaw to get the ultimate price on my dream flooring 2, Not once pushed us by asking when are we getting our act together and finish this job? 3, I was worried about our sub flooring and he calmed me down, reassured me they will prep the floor, even it out and I wont have any issues (he was right!) 4, the living room, once we removed the old tiles had terrible leftover Thin-set, probably from the 60's! Our workers tried to remove it and It became a disaster. We couldn't even breathe and had to move out of the house! We got ill from the dust! For the fraction of the cost of anyone else, Hami got his guys to fix this problem for us. 5, Hami always has a smile on his face and laughter in his voice. Not once I saw him in bad mood. And trust me we were not the easiest clients,. We had so many problems! 6, He is reachable and he gets back to you and he helps you. He wrote back to me from his holiday! (I actually felt bad about my timing there...) 7, He is not one of those guys who constantly pushes the bill at you. We had to split the work up between the guest house and the main house and while other companies are all about the money he got all the different stages of the job done and only afterwards asked for the balance. 8, Hami taught me so much! When I walked into Ventura Flooring I knew nothing, I mean less than nothing. He taught me everything that I know now and helped me make the best decisions for our family and for our home. He is insanely patient. 9, He went out of his way to lend us the flooring samples and just so you know while a sample is not there nobody else will be able to see and choose that product. So taking home a sample is a huge deal. Taking home several samples even more so. 10, Hami, Sal, Colin - all generous with their time and expertise, I had such a good time just visiting the store! Have I mentioned that it took a long time to get this job done? I really mean that it was a crazy long time! Some days I was at the store for hours, even though this store is an hour and a half from our house! Going there was so worth it. 11. The installation crew was so on top of their game I could not believe the speed and efficiency with which they got the job done. And they did a tremendous job. Our floor is stunning! I needed to replace carpet with either hardwood or laminate flooring. Hami showed me the various materials and actually recommended laminate as less expensive and easier to care for. I have noticed a sample that fit all my parameters. Hami highly recommended it as being Belgian laminate. Installation took five hours to cover about 430 sq. ft. I am extremely happy with the outcome and quick install. In addition I was given an extra box of laminate just in case, included in the price.
