If I can give more stars I would! Jason is the GOAT! I have gotten 3 pieces from him and I will be coming back for more! Back in 2016 I lost my daughter, I wanted a portrait of her done and was referred to DC Tattoos. I called and booked a consultation, after meeting him and him explaining how he does portraits I knew I wanted him to do it. At first my husband said we should keep looking and I said nope he's the guy! And he did not disappoint. He got me in asap, and when the day came for my appointment he literally finished before the 3 hr mark and he captured my daughter's picture to the T! How he highlighted and contoured her picture was amazing! I cried because it came out perfect! Exactly like her picture and looked so much like her! This past summer I lost my husband and i wanted his portrait on my other arm and of course I called to make an appointment with Jason! He was so empathetic and his confidence in delivering another portrait on me I was comforting! I wanted it asap but his books were full but I still made an appointment. I asked to be put on a cancelation list and sure enough someone canceled a week after our consultation he got me in. It meant so much to me that he got me in asap. Of course his quality of work is amazing and his portrait is just as amazing as my daughters! Again he finished it in a timely manor and my husband looks amazing on my arm and it's because of Jason's skill of capturing their likeness. We joked and said we need to do a happy tattoo piece, so I booked one. We chose flowers and daaaammmnnnn Jason has amazing talent and my flowers look sooooo beautiful! His eye for detail is unmatched. He works efficiently, I was a few minutes late, I come from the east bay and takes a while to get here, we were worried we would need to book another session but like Jason fashion he got everything done in time! I'm so thankful for the beautiful artwork he has blessed me with! When I told him what I was looking to do he instantly came up with the idea and executed other beautifully! This is a family owned business and I truly feel at home here. We have a great time talking and laughing. I never feel rushed here. His wife and son are amazing and I love talking with them! I have dubbed Jason as my most expensive friend who I pay to hang out with! There isn't anywhere else I would go to but here! They are very clean, professional and know what they are doing! I think I found my spot!! Every single time I have gotten a tattoo(not here) I always felt uncomfortable, placement was wrong or worst the last time I got a tattoo my skin inflatted because artist drew over and over same spot and placement is wrong. (Again this happen at different shops not related to DC Tatt. Anyhow NOT at DC TATTOO. I had a great experience and cleaniness professionalism was there. The owner and his wife were awesome, nice and very kind. When I went for my consultation they made me feel comfortable and welcomed. When I actually went in for the tatt, the owner confirmed with me color, placement, checked in with me all the time on how I was doing. I never once felt uncomfortable or like I shouldnt be getting a tatt. So basically I love love how my tatts look and I appreciate the owner explaining and guiding me on placement for my tatt,& I must say he is very experienced knows how something should look or align to look its best. I've been going to this place since I was about 19-20 years old, so a little under a decade, just shy to it and when I first went I barely had money to even afford anything with Jason. Fast forward a few years, working, saving and just going for what I wanted and now I got two sleeves, one fully done by him and the other one with a few other artists that were there but I'm going to be reworking it all, with newer colors, additions/etc. It's expensive but you get what you pay for. Definitely one of the better shops out there and there's a reason I kept coming back, when I was living in San Jose I'd drive the 50 minutes there. (Used to live in DC and walk 15) but now I'm out in Stockton and I drove the hour and 30 just to get a session on my chest piece (not shown). Needless to say, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I've been wanting a nasal piercing for quite a awhile now, so I decided to jump in and just do it. I tend to "research" most things I set my mind on doing. This his how I found DC Tattoo in Daly City. It checked all the right boxes, GREAT reviews and super convenient location, very close to me. I set up an appointment and went in the next day. I was greeted by the owner Jason. Very warm and welcoming. Great space/ good vibe. His son Gage was going to do the the piercing itself. Super nice and knowledgeable. After the consultation and cleaning of the site, he went to work. He helped me decide on placement and postion. He took his time and was super thorough with all the preliminary stuff. A bit of a pinch/pain it was over in a second. He reviewed the aftercare, sent me home with a bottle of saline and I was good to go. An email with written instructions was waiting when I returned home. In this day and age of poor customer service its NOT the case here. I received an email several days later, checking in and thanking me for my business. Such a great experience with excellent customer service!!! I highly recommend DC for tattoos and piercings. Everyone is incredibly nice and patient. I forgot the name of the nice gentleman who pierced my ears but he was very thorough with aftercare and all. I wished they had more jewelry options, though, because I personally don't like ear studs and prefer gold rings/jewelry. All in all, I will definitely come back for future piercings. read more

I moved to sf in 2018, and would travel back to my hometown for my tattoos. But I wanted to find a local artist to continue my work with. DC was rated super well so I came here for a consultation and basically found my new artist haha. Jason helped me finish the last part of the sleeve I was working on - doing a light house that I wanted. He did a great job making it fit into the other artists work and to the entire sleeve in general. The shocking part is how fast he works, with the work still coming out hella clean. He also did a cover up of a stupid decade old tattoo I had haha. And it's one of the prettiest tattoos I have! I also had his son switch my nose ring to a hoop since I couldn't do it myself. On top of great work; Jason, his wife and son are just cool people. They're super friendly and funny and just seem like quality people. I went in last year in December to get a hand tattoo done as seen below. I got it done by Santos he did a great job, I was told that for hand tattoos they don't hold ink very well so I could tell there were some spots where there could of been more ink added and a I noticed apart of the line in the music note was suppose to be completely flush with the rest of the tattoo but it wasn't. But to be honest the unfinished line in my case added some character too the tattoo. so i'm happy with it! Anyways I noticed some bad reviews about jason but I didn't get thoughs vibes from him he seems pretty cool. I had a overall great experience. Getting my tat done there, everyone was joking and laughing having a great time. All I really gota say is make sure before you leave you really check out your tattoo to make sure your completely happy with it and there's nothing missing because if you go back a week later to get it touched up they will ether charge you the full price again to touch it up or the second option is to get a new tattoo and then they'll touch your old tattoo up that they did for free. read more

Booked an appt with Jason for a cover up on my back. He did a great job with it! Ended up getting another one on my thigh and just got another one on my forearm. Going to start working to fill the rest of my back up. Jason and his wife are great! Very professional, hilarious and he is quick with his work. Definitely recommend paying him a visit. OMG!!!! This was a really amazing experience. Jason was my tattoo artist. His wife was really sweet and inviting as well. Santos the other artist was just as polite - what a great team. I was very nervous but what calmed my anxiety down was being walked through the process every step of the way. Jason was also very patient with me, as well as his wife, as I'm super forgetful and indecisive. It was very easy to have friendly and casual conversation and even though I was flinching and moving quite a bit, the final result came out great. I was looking for a tattoo parlor that would help bring what I had in mind to life. I wanted to get a mandala feather on my arm. I messaged through Yelp and got an appointment for a consult. During my consult, Jason explained to me how much time it would take and said he would draw up a feather for me. My appointment rolls around and I mention to Jason that maybe I could come back later for a lotus on my hand on the same arm as my feather. I was so happy to find Gage to create new piercings for me ears. I had previous ones and we decided to let those close up and start from scratch because they were not even. What can I say about Gage? He's an artist, perfectionist, and all around nice guy. I had 2 helix piercings done in each ear. He measured and changed the placement of the pen mark multiple times so that my piercings were even on both ears. Mind you, my ears are different from one side to the other. This was a bit of a challenge but Gage did it perfectly. He spent over an hour with me. Before I left, he gave me thorough aftercare instructions. Gage then sent the same instructions via email. i have never made a review, but i felt obligated to because of my service yesterday. super chill and friendly staff. this was my second time getting pierced here, first time was double nostril piercings (which healed great), and this time around was my labret. the piercer was very thorough with everything from anatomy to jewelry and aftercare. he talked me through everything and made sure the piercing was centered perfectly. made sure i was okay during and after the piercing, and they were all super quick to help when i fell dizzy. 10/10 recommend. all super nice and they seem to get along with all their clients. thank you for the amazing experience read more

The owner basically told me to F off because I had a ideation design made up, I was going to tell him he could design a new one but then kept trying to lecture me so much I asked myself... do I really want to sit next to this guy for several hours? Of course not, took my money to another shop. Follow up to the owner: essentially you did tell me to buzz off and the bad experience throughout the entire process was only with you. You wouldn't let me speak, kept talking over me when I tried, and basically mocked everything you could. Maybe it was just one of those days for you, but regardless, it says a lot about you.
