BEWARE! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! I made the worst decision possible when I decided to take my 2015 Audi A3 to D and D for a leaking oil sensor. Nothing could of gone worse(keep reading). The repair itself seems to be okay for now, however, it was everything else they did to my car that really showed how unprofessional and uneducated Sal's mechanics are. First off, I go to pick up my car and it's parked on the main rode. My car is unlocked. Why would you ever leave any car unlocked that you are deemed responsible for because your the one fixing it??!? So my charger got stolen out of my car and that's all his mechanics or someone walking by can take because, I took everything else out of my car and thank god I did. My tags I just put on a few weeks ago look as if someone definitely tried taking it off! My car was at this guys lot for 3 days! Cmon! The greasy grimy mechanic who worked on my car also put a popsicle plastic wrapping in my cup holder UPSIDE DOWN AND ALL THE GRAPE JUICE DRIPPED INTO MY CUP HOLDER. My driver seat floor mat was also upside down when I picked my car up. Why? Who knows the reason for their stupidity, but now there's grease/oil on my actual carpet of my car on the driver side. If they left my rubber mat in place then this would've never happened. I also saw grease/oil on multiple spots on my car paint! Worst of all was a scratch right next to two big grease stains that was not on my car prior to mistakingly taking it here, so I know they made the scratch. I attached photos for proof. I was recommended to come here to have them check my brakes since I had never had that done since having my car. I received nothing but great customer service! I had D&D give my Nissan Versa an oil change, rotate the tires, and do a check on my brakes. Ultimately Sal diagnosed that my car needed new front brakes, transmission service, back brakes cleaned, and a new belt! I had them do the full work up since I will be driving my car on a road trip this weekend! It only took them 3 hours to get this work done! I see a lot of positive comments here but I'm not buying it. I've heard too many negative things from people who I guess don't want to post they're experience here. I was there one time and my car was left in worse shape than when I brought it in. The owner charge me for work he did not perform and four parts that he did not replace I brought my car back Furious and threatened to call the California automotive Bureau of repairs, and that's when the owner gave me my money back. If those reviews are legit, that I'm glad he's improved the quality of his service and above all his honesty. Personally I will never take any of my cars there again. I found out in 5 minutes why my check engine light was on & I made an appointment for the repair which was quick & easy! The best part about my experience was that they offered me a payment plan!!! Took my 2004 Chevy Silverado in the morning with no appointment for starter issues about a month ago, D&D took me in without hesitation. After a diagnosis, he confirmed the starter needed to be replaced, he also recommended to replace the brake pads due to their limited life, I knew they were low, so I agreed. This place might still be good for smog checks and simple things like an oil change, but when it comes to intensive automotive work, Sal's new workers do not have a clue. **THIS REVIEW SHOULD BE UNDER ENGINE REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENT HOWEVER, IT POSTED IN SMOG REVIEW* I havebeen taking my vehicle for smog certifications to Sal for years. always did service/repairs at Ford dealer due to long history at dealer. However due to massive inflation from inept so called leaders found dealer just to expensive and wait time in the days on repairs with a maybe. Starting Late October 2021 my once very reliable Ranger just had one thing after another from Battery, to t-stat housing. Then the big one happened engine died in November - not in situation to get another vehicle at this time. Sal as usual was able to provide options in reasonable time frame even when found the type of block I had could not be rebuilt (factory rebuild from dealer was about 7k with 6 TO 8 WEEK LEAD TIME ) the rental care cost for that time would be about same as to buy a used vehicle. Sal was able to find salvaged engine with much lower mileage than I had or I could have added couple grand for for entire new block (Sal gives options) BOTTOM LINE; IF YOU NEED TO GET BACK ON THE ROAD SAL WILL WORK WITH YOU.
