They Know What They Are Doing! my car started having troubles early in the week. Took my car to Sal questioning my transmission needing a fluid change on Wednesday. He was able to diagnose it within an hour because he knew I had work in a few hours. Offered payment plans because I think he could sense I was freaking out about how much it would come out to. He informed me I needed a whole new transmission and would be ready in a couple days. In the meantime I used a rental which he said they reimburse since I was only using it for 2 days ( which is awesome!)!! Come Friday he had changed my transmission and valve leak. Also, he really took into consideration my availability of coming into the shop and worked through his lunch to get my car ready in time for when I needed it! Although the price seemed a lot for me they really are helpful with offering payment plans. To be fair I called other places and they were higher prices or didn't seem to know what they were talking about. After I had left I noticed the extra work they did on my car for free! Not saying they will do that for everyone but it was a nice little surprise I'd find here and there in or around my car! I felt safe leaving my car in the hands of Sal and Mickey! Sal truly is an honest man and I could sense he wasn't trying to take me for a fool as I feel many other locations do to young women. Came to Whittier for the day and my wheel bearings started grinding so i figured i would look for someone to fix it , went on yelp and saw some good reviews so i decided to come in . Shop didn't look 100 percent professional but i don't judge a book by the cover . I ended up getting the wheel bearing's replaced because i really wanted my ABS light to turn off and stop the grinding but ended up getting the car back and the PARKING light turns on after 10 miles per hour .Went to Pepboys and they told me either my speedo wire was cut in the process , Bearing was put on backwards with the abs strip facing away from the sensor , or the sensor was crushed in the process of pressing the bearings in . I called and spoke to Sal and he seemed rude and said my ABS light was already on and insisted the wheel bearing couldn't be pressed in 2 different ways( When yes it could ) and told me to drive all the way back out to Whittier and leave my car for the whole day so he could fix the parking break light. Since i don't have time to do that i would rather just inform future customers before they make a decision . He also told me to sell my car as soon as i picked it up which was a major red flag . He did stay open just to finish my car and i do appreciate that but i can't take off work to drive down there and get it fixed . Good place to change your oil but probably not something like wheel bearings . read more

My car gave up on me in the city of Whittier called AAA to take me to the closest mechanic shop , he took me to D&D auto , I was nervous to get overwhelmed by them as I don't know much about mechanics to diagnose my car problem , the mechanic Sal was super cool he diagnosed my problem and got me going in no time , he was honest and didn't try to over sell me like other normal shops .Thanks Sal. This place is a headache. Got my rotors done here and had to get them replaced because of the shaking. I already had to go here twice because the first time, they did a horrible job. Came to find out they put the wrong side of rotors on the right side. It was for the left. That's what was causing the issues. Never coming back here. read more
