I've been coming here about 6 years off and on . Off and on because they have their moments when they are always one point and their moments when they want to half do the job . Today was it . I had a lady that had never done my nails before do my gel mani and she was really grouchy , cut my skin and when i mentioned it to the owners they had nothing to say . I tried DD Nails yesterday and that was the LAST TIME and WORST EXPERIENCE I have EVER experienced at a nail salon. It was understaffed, I was never asked to wash my hands after buffing, my cuticles had to be redone, and my nail chipped in less than 24 hours. That is not even the worst part- while buffing my nails I WAS CUT. The technician saw the cut, yet put my nail in alcohol. He tried to ignore that he cut me until I brought it up to him. The only remedy the salon took was to "discount" my manicure by $7, when it should have been free. Nothing like rocking my new manicure with a band-aid! read more

This place is a JOKE!!! After reading a few good reviews, I decided to give this place a shot and since it was just a few min away from where I live. Anyways, BAD IDEA! I signed in at 12:54, waited until 2:10. Never got called, but yet the two ladies that signed in AFTER ME, were seated to get their nails done because they're "regulars". Great customer service although they were really busy when I went in. I had to wait about 45 minutes to an hour to be seated and then after getting my nails done I still had to wait about another 30 minutes to get a pedicure. So I decided not to get the pedicure for I had other things to get done. I do love this nail salon just needs more employees. read more

DD Nails is great! It is family owned and the whole family works together. It makes me feel very at home all the time. DD does a great job waxing. I get my full body waxed there for a great bulk price, being a loyal customer of 3 months. I get a regular mani pedi also every time I come in for a wax. They are very consistent. And do a great job. I should have known just from walking into this place that it would be a catastrophic event. First of all, the nail tech's little tips for her buffer tool needed to be cleaned so badly that it wasn't even funny. Then, after all that buffing, she still could not manage to hide the lines of the previous Mani (I went in for an acrylic French tip refill,) & I ended up w/red splotches all over my nails. They look HORRIBLE. Then, I got an eyebrow wax, only to come home & find out that I needed to tweeze a few more hairs. I am totally dissatisfied w/this place, & wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. I understand people have bad days, but when observing the after effects of her poor services, she should have either redone them or given me a huge discount. Now I have to go spend more money to get this fixed so I don't walk around looking like an idiot. I guess I should have asked for a refund. My fault for not speaking up while I was there. Let me just say , this is the best nail shop in (AZ). Coming from Los Angeles and going to more then 6 nails shops and NOT ONE of the shops could do the most simplest job, which was their job to provide not only good customer service but also to know how to polish and apply nails the proper way. DD's shop was my last resort and I swore if this shop was like the rest I was going to drive back to LA to get my nails done. WHEN I SAY DD DID AND DOES A GEAT JOB . I've been going to her every since that day and it's been 4 years and I recommend everyone to come on in and get treated with respect and leave feeling beyond satisfied. while traveling from Las Vegas to Cabo, I had a 3 hour layover in Phoenix. one errand that I did not have time for before I left was a mani/pedi. so I decided to spend my time in Phoenix wisely. I google-mapped the closest nail salon and took a cab to DD's Nails. while it was very busy, as it was a Saturday afternoon, I was serviced pretty swiftly. Every unsanitary. They reuse the same supply for nails on each client without every cleaning them. The box that my stylist used where she kept her tools were dirty from pervious using and in the box where she's stored them I saw toenails.... don't come here unless you want a fungal infection and have to take antibiotics for the next 3 months. read more

This place is ok but it would be better if they was more friendly, they always look mad about something, it uncomfortable. But as far as price and nails, it decent JUST don't let the male techs do your nails. Last time I got my nails by DD she wasn't so friendly but the full set nails came out ok. Long wait after making a appointment. I went to get a pedicure and full set . I get horrible callus and the person who was doing my pedicure put this gel on my foot and left to go smoke a cigarette outside. When they were washing my feet the water was HOT. Then I went to do my fullest lee left my nails super thick looked like a witch nail curved down. He left them different lengths I was in shock usually they do such a good job, sadly after my experiences ( since this isn't the first time) I won't be returning. read more

I have been going to DD for over a year. I get the full set of nails with a graphic design. Every time, I get my nails updated with a fill and design. I get compliments from strangers on who does my nails. The Nail techs do an excellent job and my nails are never weak under the acrylic. The Nail tech does not file down your nails on the inside when you get a fill. I accidently broke a nail and the acrylic broke but not my nail. My nail was strong. I have had 3 sets in the last year and half. This place does an amazing job and I have recommended friends as well as strangers. Check it out! read more

Called and they told me they had no wait. Got right in bc all I needed was a fill with clear gel over it.... I asked the guy to please make the nails as short as possible, as in I want them to look naturally short. He proceeded to burn my fingertip of my pinky and then ARGUE WITH ME about the fact that because I want them so short he has no choice in it burning my fingertips. I explained to him that this isn't my first go around at having this done and that you can IN FACT NOT burn a CUSTOMER on their fingers with their tools....He was very quiet at that point, would not even speak to me. He quit the cut-down only to start filling in my nails before he had primed them. I asked him about it and he quickly mumbled something to the side and several of the workers in there stopped and looked up at him and then me....I felt very uncomfortable about things after that....he continued to prime my nails but had only cut down two. I asked him if he would be cutting down the rest of my nails and he was very defensive and said "yes, of course but you no want to be burn so I do later".... He finally got the filling done and he went very quickly from that point to filing and shooing me out the door. He didn't bother to ask if my nails were short enough (any stylist who wants a tip or even to treat their customers right would), they still are NOT how I wanted them but I was not going to let him burn my fingertips or screw up my nails any further than he already had! I tried to just walk out but a my conscience told me that he still has to make a living even if he sucks at it. He charged me MORE than what he told me over the phone and that was after I told him that no I don't want any polish on it just a clear coat. I asked him why it was more than what he told me over the phone and he said bc he did gel nail top coat. I tried to tell him that first I shouldn't be paying him a DIME bc he argued with me and secondly I certainly shouldn't be paying him extra bc I asked him the price over the phone and he should've included that in his quote over the phone. My mom and I thought we would give this place a shot today for pedicures after reading some decent reviews on it and left very unhappy. First of all the people in there weren't very friendly, they never once introduced themselves Then, while the guy that did my toes was okay (mainly because I did a solid color and glitter, nothing too crazy) after he was done painting my toes, he got up and went to work on another client, never asked if I wanted to sit under the drying table, didn't help put my sandals on, nothing. My mom had the worst experience though. The girl that was doing my moms pedicure cut my moms toes a couple of times with the cuticle tool, my mom said it hurt, flinched a couple of times, and the girl I think figured out she was hurting her. Then after we had already been in there close to an hour (mind you we only asked for the basic pedicure) the girl hadn't started painting my moms toes yet and my and I both tried to tell her a few times that we had to leave, and the girl smiled and kept taking her time, one guy finally translated, I think that we had to leave soon. She finally finished my moms toes, as she was putting my moms shoes on she screwed up a nail, had to redo it and we finally left. I don't quite understand how it can take over an hour to do a basic pedicure with polish and neither of us even sat under a drying table, I was at least able to sit in the pedicure chair until the girl finished my moms toes. If you aren't in a bind and can go else where, do, otherwise you will probably leave frustrated. read more
