I'm from Lincoln and I don't see many DD's discount stores near me . when I saw this one I have to stop to check it out . I got greeted as soon as I walked in to the store by the security and a lovely lady . They were so friendly. When it was time for me to check out the cashier was super fast and very friendly. When I was walking out they said thanks for shopping there and good bye . They all said it again the security and the lady cashier . I felt very welcome. Sales associate tried to double charge me for an item on purpose. There was a 2 pack of sweats and she tried to scan it and then take one pair off and put it in the bag, then scan it again. When I asked why I was charged twice for the same item, when it clearly rung up with a description of 2pack, she proceeded to tell me "I didn't think it was actually the price for both of them." She ended up fixing it because I wasn't going to pay for both but I found it extremely unprofessional. I definitely won't shop at this store anymore, horrible customer service. I don't usually shop at dd's, just more of a Ross kind of gal, but I stopped in a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised. Their shelves and racks were jam packed. Lots of items in every aisle but I did see a lot of broken products. The store also had an unpleasant smell. I was looking for decorative pieces for my new place and was so happy to find beautiful canvas paintings! They had an array of options but of course the one my boyfriend and I liked the most was defective! The canvas had about a 3 inch cut. I asked a rep for a discount and they were happy to give me 10% off for the damage. It didn't really save me much, I think it was $2 but luckily it's really not noticeable against our wall. I also found some cute mirrors for great prices! They were $5.99 for 3 mirrors, where as at Ross they would be $9.99 or at target they could go for $19.99. Great price & deal! They're super light and the mirror works well. I'll have to make more visits to dd's because I just love the decorative pieces they have and employees are fairly kind. read more

Lol, I'll never forget when I found my lost Michael Kors sunglasses for sale in the store AFTER I had already called and asked if i left them there. Needless to say this place is ghetto but all DDs locations are hence the reason why they are all located in the ghetto Haha anyways man this place is a MESS...literally there is stuff EVERYWHERE the womens/juniors sections are so hard to shop because stuff is jammed in sooo tight but then the kids/mens section have slim pickings lol you can find random nicknackes, home goods, pet supplies a long with much more. One thing I'll give them credit for is the customer service..you're always greeted when you walk in and the workers seem pretty upbeat. If you see the lines pretty long one thing I recommend is helping the clerks out by taking your clothes off the hangers, they appreciate it and it keeps things moving. So to end this review, I still shop here after the whole sunglass ordeal but not as much anymore because you gotta have TIME to shop here since there's no real order of things. read more

I was in the area and had some time to kill so I figured I'd stop in at this one and check it out. This DD's is way more organized than the other one I went to recently. Everything was well hung and neat. It was hard to find things but only because of the way they hang things. The same of something isn't together, it is scattered within the same rack. So say I found a shirt I liked but it has a rip or a stain and I need the same one, same size; I have to sift through a bunch to see if I am lucky enough to find it. There's a lot of clothing that looks like it lived on the floor for a while but that's not the store's fault. It's those savage customers that drop things and just leave them there because it's not theirs. Who knows, maybe they're like that at home too. When I walked in it was quiet. I was greeted by the cashier and I was left to do my thing and wander around without anyone bothering me. When I go clothes shopping, I don't like having sales people constantly asking if I need help. If I need help I'll look for you. Although this store is also owned by Ross, the stuff is way cheaper looking than the stuff Ross carries. The prices are a little cheaper too so I guess it works. I'm not a fan of this store yet but I've seen stuff other people have found there and I've been impressed when they tell me they got it at DD's which is why I've checked them out and why I'm giving them 4 stars. read more

That it was, but the overall shopping experience was, as one previous reviewer described, "ghetto and loud." The clothes were mostly low quality hand me downs. I ended up with a headache from having to listen to two obnoxious women's expletive-laden conversation for a good fifteen minutes. The cashier took her sweet time and turned a two minute line into a fifteen minute one. And worst of all, I had to pee something bad and of course there is no public restroom. Sorry, DD's. She ​GRABBED the clothes out of my hand and put them on the rack. When my girlfriend was going in to try on clothes Melissa was very abrupt with her and announced that she was counting her clothes and will count them when she leaves. I love to come to this store, especially for gifts. When we try to look for the baby shower stuff, this store is my go to. They have huge variety of baby stuff for so much cheaper. Also I love shopping for handbags and luggage. They are so much cheaper than the other stores. The only concern is all dd's stores do not have public restrooms. they have great deals on rings and watches. Outside, there is plenty space for parking. I love me some DD's but there are definitely some drawbacks to shopping here. It is known to be "ghetto"- the location, people that shop there, people that "hang" in the parking lot etc. but I am still not deterred. I have found some of the most awesome deals here! Granted the awesome items are hit and miss... some days there's an abundance of items and some days there's a picked through mess. The store is mostly unorganized- making finding things difficult, but with patience, you won't leave empty handed. Waiting in line can be a pain (especially if you have a return). My main pet peeve is the nastiness of the shopping carts! Oh my gosh they are DISGUSTING! Looks like someone crapped and threw up on ALL OF THEM! Dirty and straight grimy! Today as i was shopping at about 12:15 pm two employees in the juniors section (heavy set lady wearing a blue shirt and a black younger lady in a black shirt) were working and talking all kinds of stuff about the customers. How we (customers) never are ready when it comes to paying and how we take the hangers off the clothes and create more work for the employees etc..... i can go on and on avout everything they were saying, and i was so shook on how they thought it was ok to just be there while working and talking about customers. If you don't like the job work somewhere else. It was such a negative environment and so uncomfortable i had to leave. P.d next time you want to vent at least do it in the break room. The store itself, WOW so many great things at very reasonable prices. So I go to the checkout counter and WOW you should do a better job at hiring individuals. A nine west purse was marked at $19.99 in pencil, with the security tag attached to that price. She advised me that the purse was not that price and she could not honor it. I've only purchased from this store a time or two. The lines are super long and they treat you as if you are going to steal as soon as you walk in the door! I wear a backpack as my purse and when I walked in the security guard asked if they could hold on to it while I shopped!!!! Hello no! With my wallet and everything? I don't think so! And what's really annoying is when you go to check out they call the next person in line while you are in the middle of your transaction!!!!
