This is a cool place to shop for flowers. They have really unique designs and I love how everything is displayed. It is a little hard to walk around because some of the space is very cluttered. It is a little bit pricey. The quality is good and the flowers last for an average amount of time. Parking is a little difficult because this flower store is right off Stirling Road and there was not much warning to turn in. I'm writing this review from the point of view of the recipient. I've been holed up in the hell on earth known as Memorial Regional Hospital since Thursday. I was "lucky" enough to wake up on Saturday morning and told I was being rushed to surgery...Oh Joy! Which parts will they be cutting now??? But I digress... The previous evening I was talking to Jeff S, we've been best friends since High School. I was telling him how bummed out I was about being in this 9th Circle of Hell yet again and facing my third possible surgery in three weeks. Being the good friend he is, he consoled me and tried to lift my spirits by telling me corny jokes or talking about all the cool places we had bookmarked in each others city to try. I should have gotten suspicious when he later asked for the address of the hospital. At that point I didn't really care because the morphine was strong with me at that late hour. Fast forward to the next day...I'm in pain and trying to rest after my surgery when I hear words that were music to my ears..."FLOWER DELIVERY FOR BED #2" I jumped up immediately....Oh the pain! But I didn't care, I had flowers!! Someone had thought to send me flowers. I immediately knew it was from Jeff S. because (A) he's the kinda guy that's always trying to cheer people up and (B) There was a beautiful Michael Jackson lyric in the card enclosed. Does this guy know me or what??? Now on to the flowers....WOW! I took several pictures but they can't begin to convey the beauty of the arrangement. It was in a very large cylindrical glass vase. I loved the simplicity of it because it makes you focus on the beauty and variety of the flowers. I'm no expert so I'll name the ones I could identify. Huge white daisies, huge red roses, tiny red roses, speckled red roses, pink speckled roses, pink lilies, chrysanthemums, white hydrangeas. Moss Fern and an unknown yellow flower were interspersed between the flowers to create depth and even more variety. The combination of flowers were simply masterful. Some of the Rose varieties were new to me. I have posted several shots of flowers for you flower enthusiasts...they weren't the best quality as I'm using the camera from my BlackBerry. Jeff S. ordered the flowers on Saturday thru FTD and by that afternoon Del La Flor Gardens delivered my gorgeous bouquet. If you're in a pinch and ever need to get beautiful and unique flowers in an expeditious manner then I highly recommend them. read more

My coworker/friend's son passed away unexpectedly two weeks ago. I live in NJ and she lives in FL. I came on to Yelp to find a good florist to send her flowers. I picked an arrangement from De La Flor's website online. Today, my friend called me to thank me for the absolutely beautiful flowers that I sent her. It was an absolute pleasure to work with De La Flor. They confirmed the delivery to me immediately. Also, one thing I noticed and loved was that while placing my order online, they ask if you have any specific instructions. I did. I know some florists change the arrangement in the picture to match the colors/flowers they have in stock. I specifically requested that they mirror the image online, because I loved the purple and I wanted to portray a message of hope with my flowers. When she called me to thank me today, one of things she mentioned was that, she loved that my arrangement had lots of purple flowers in it, which she told me was her son's favorite color. My Club has been ordering flowers from this place for several years and after our last event flowers were given for us to be taken home. "Roses 1 Dozen". 14 days later and the flowers finally did die but not before being brilliantly displayed the entire time. Not quire sure what they are doing over there but I have never had flowers last this long and look so good. It is always the same thing last forever and look good. Whatever they are doing keep doing it because they are amazing. I was in NY when my daughter had to have hand surgery. I wanted to send her flowers from a "local" florist instead of a bland arrangement from FTD or 1800Flowers.com. I wanted it to look really unique and special. So I heard good memories from De La Flor Gardens. I called and actually spoke to the owner. She was awesome and said she would make it extra special. Boy did she come through. It was absolute gorgeous. It was big and full and had the most exotic flowers that lasted for almost 2 weeks. She even put a few butterflies sticking out of it. Keep an eye out as this is not set up as a retail store. The staff inside was so incredibly kind and helpful. I went in hoping to find a pre-made and beautiful arrangement for my aunt. We had a good experience with De La Flor Gardens! Our wedding was in May 2014 and we began working with them in February or March, I believe. Gus was great to work with and he really helped us decide what would be best for my wife's taste and within our budget without being pushy in any way. Delivery was perfect and not a great added cost as with other florists. The only reason I did not rate 5-stars is because we were accidentally shorted 2 pew-markers. But I contacted Gus about this when we returned from the honeymoon and he refunded the cost of them. Friday morning 10/28/16 I ordered a "premium" Delightful Dish Garden for my boss to be sent to a very dear friend of his in Miami for her birthday. The premium version stated "We'll add more blooms and select the highest quality flowers we offer in this style." What was delivered looked very sad, it was NOT a delight. It was nowhere near as nice as the "standard" that was pictured on the website and was $20 more. What a complete let down. When I first moved down to FL , I was so impressed with DeLa Flor, It was so artistic and high end. I recently received flowers delivered for my birthday from DeLaFlor. The delivery guy just shoved the flowers at me. It took me a minutes to realize the flowers were for me. Their was no tissue, no wrapping not even a ribbon. Their was a big advertisement postcard attached to little gift card, I knew it was DeLa Flor , not by the artistic arrangement(or lack of) but by Deborah picture on this postcard.. I kept saying to my husband "are you sure , these are from DeLaFlor?". Yes my parents ordered directly from them. They bought the high end version of the selection. It was missing one of the main flowers that made the bouquet special. I sent my mother a picture and she was upset, she contacted them and about a week later I received a small version of the same flowers. This time it had that addition flower that made it pop. But it was small, and lacked wrapping tissue or a ribbon. Did they refund my mother for the deluxe? nope . I appreciate the gesture of sending another set but still it lacked everything I expected. If I want to shove flowers in a jar I can get flowers from Publix and do it myself. Disappointed read more
