Went axe throwing for the first time at Dead Center Axe Throwing (located at the gun range) and it was more fun than expected. The staff were super nice and welcoming. The axe throwing was interactive with a bunch of different games you could play. They had Tic Tac Toe, Memory match games, Zombie and duck hunting games, and a few others. The price was cost effective and they also had some options on Groupon which is honored in store. Definitely enjoyed and would go back. Parking was easy, kids are welcome, definitely a date night option.

We had a great time...I wish I remembered the man's name that came in and gave instruction on how to shoot, stance and everything. Very helpful, we will be back!!

Oh My what a wonderful evening here!! They gave us a room to celebrate my friends 50th birthday! We had 2 lanes for shooting and lanes for axe throwing!! Yes they have both!!! Soooo much fun!! Team is super friendly and extremelyknowledgeable!!! Spent about 3+hours here! Greatest time a range ever for me!!

Went there for my 18th birthday back in March because I've been wanting an AR. The man behind the counter hooked me up with exactly what I was looking for. Friendly and helpful staff. Even hooked me up with a happy birthday target

Was a great experience! They had several options in stock of various pistols I was looking for. Ended up getting a great deal on a new Walther PDP Compact which I had been looking for and no one had! They even let me on the range afterwards to try it out at no cost! Staff was great and friendly! Definitely looking forward to next time!

Very easy to use, but the drafts in the range pull the targets up, which takes away from the ability to accurately judge shots.

After talking with other colleagues at work, I decided to put together a small group of us to get a class going. Fast forward to Friday, December 15th, 2017 at 5:30pm. Myself and 5 other teammates came to meet "Chief" & "Apollos" to take their most basic class called the GAFASTA Basic Pistol Training" Class This class is a 2 part course where we do the classroom training first at the office. Followed by going out to a shooting course. So, let us start with the classroom training. Here we learned a few main rules including NO LOADED WEAPONS IN THE CLASSROOM. From there, we went over some basic safety issues, such as pointing the gun forward, as well as how to hold the gun properly. We learned the '5 step process to shooting', which is from the holster to 'stabbing out'. Stabbing out is the process when you are aiming the gun down at the target. We also learned that sometimes people are not eye dominant to where they thought they were (righty people were left eye dominant, and vice versa). Lastly, we learned how to take a part a gun rather quickly, as well as assemble it with ease! On Sunday, we went out to Chief's private ranch up in Monroe, GA. This is a huge lot with lots of trees and scenery. The steaming lake running through the front to the birds chirping in the background. Walk down another hundred feet or so, and you are at the shooting range where they have water barrels and targets approximately 5m away. Here, we were taught the proper way of sighting, gun control and most of all, SAFETY. They cannot emphasize that enough...safety is key! Keep all guns pointing down the range. Keep all bullets out of the clips, keep the gun on the barrel until called. Overall, this experience was better than any other class that you'll ever experience. Though it is listed as a 'beginner' class on paper, this is far from a beginner class irl! Come check him out, as this was an amazing experience, and we (as a group) cannot wait until next class when we take the intermediate class!

You're greeted as soon as you walk in, and the range itself is clean, well‑maintained, and has a fresh atmosphere. It's a big difference compared to other ranges where all you smell is lead and gunpowder the entire time. The only downside is that they don't provide D‑Lead soap, which is specifically made to remove metal residue from your hands after shooting. That's the only thing I wish they offered. Other than that, this place is fantastic. Great people, clean facility, and an overall positive experience every time.

They have plenty of parking. If you have never been there you have to complete a standard form and watch a video on gun safety. The video is about 10-15 minutes long. After that you can pay to use the range. They have a seperate area for rifles and handguns. I was able to get everything I needed there. I spoke to one of the firearms instructor and he provided some good tips for me to shoot better. Everyone was very nice there. In the end I spoke to Melissa. She showed me around and told me about the classes they offered. Once the holidays are over my husband and I plan on coming back to get private instruction hopefully from Melissa. Overall I recommend this place.

Just had a level one basic handgun course and am very glad I did. Instruction was clear and a focus…read moreon safety was obvious from the start and I appreciate that because I've heard of some sketchy ranges, and that was specifically what I wanted to avoid. Just wanna say that I couldn't disagree more with two very negative reviews in the past six months... it is curious that pretty much every single complaint was somehow the exact opposite of my experience, although my inexperience means I don't know what competitive pricing is, to be fair. I found the ventilation to be more than adequate, did not notice any foul odors, and found the instructors professional and upstanding. Also should point out that me and a couple other newbies did not hit the target hangers, maybe that negative reviewer should consider their own capacity...

Johns Creek Indoor Range is supposed to be a place where people go to learn, practice, and improve…read moretheir firearm skills. Like any craft, shooting takes repetition -- and that means going through a lot of targets. Most ranges sell targets with a 2-3 inch gap between the edge of the paper and the printed target image. That's normal. But this range sells targets that clip within an inch of the scoring line on their holders. Then they turn around and charge you $1 for every hole that goes past that line. It's a setup, and it feels like a scam. No other range I've been to does this. And unlike most ranges that charge you upfront, Johns Creek Indoor Range waits until the end so they can nickel‑and‑dime you for every "over‑the‑line" hole. It's a tactic that takes advantage of new shooters and anyone who doesn't know their system. A range should help people learn -- not create a trap to squeeze extra money out of customers. This practice is misleading, unfair, and something no shooter should have to deal with.

Fantastic friendly mom & pop owned gunsmith, FFL and NRA certified trainers…read more Ambience: The first thing you should know about this place is it's a house. In a neighborhood. Don't worry: you've come to the right place. Their office and shop (see the photos) is located on the lower levels of their house. They have everything you might expect in a small firearms training / gunsmithing shop, including a fair amount of surveillance cameras. Customer service / Knowledge: I spoke with Marie several times on the phone and via email before deciding to use these folks as my FFL for a purchase from Gunbroker.com. At each point they were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I'm confident they helped speed along the process. When my firearm arrived, they were quick to reach out to me to set up a time when I could pick it up. And finally, when I did pick up my firearm they were quick and to the point and answered all questions I had about their training offerings. Value for money: They have very reasonable FFL transfer fees (see their website or call them for current pricing) -- I paid $25 for a handgun. They do a fair bit of gunsmithing and are very knowledgeable about the NRA and gun laws, so they are a much better FFL (than others) in that respect. Tips: - Remember you're in a house. Ask them what direction to point your firearm in before attempting to clear / field strip it. - Appointments are advised (again: it's in a neighborhood) - Ask about their gunsmithing options - When taking a class, Marie provides lunch Summary: Easily accessible from all parts of Gwinnett county, these folks might be worth driving across town for if your current FFL or gunsmith isn't cutting it for you. I highly recommend them.
