We always stop at Deal's when we are passing through. The wait staff are friendly. The fried shrimp and oysters are delicious.

We also had a small grilled redfish and fried oyster dinners with sides. Both were tasty but the oysters were the star of our lunch. The swamp cabbage was different than I've had before and it was good. We wanted Mullet Backs but they didn't have any mullet dishes available. Guess we'll just have to try it again on our next visit to the area.

Cindy our server greeted us immediately after being seated, we were seated in the back of the restaurant which allowed me to look at what the locals were eating, yeah almost every table had oysters either raw on the shell or chargrilled which were all sized large. There are lots of options here no matter your preference We both got crispy fried catfish and I added fried shrimp I opted for a side I've never seen on any menu anywhere "Swamp Cabbage" (sautéed heart of palm with bacon) I covered it with a healthy dose of Trappy's Pepper Vinegar, it's definitely an acquired taste I'm sure but delicious, we also ordered fries which came with a generous portion of thumb size hushpuppies served with guava jam. We also ordered an order of Lacy's Rockin Oysters for an appetizer, they arrived about half way through our dinner service but well worth the wait for sure, a few dozens of these would make a wonder meal by itself - everything was delicious and the prices are a very good value - a shout out again to our server Cindy she was exceptional. If you're in the area and want some fresh seafood and the freshest oysters this is definitely the place to come. The area is still recovering from the last hurricane which devastated the area but it seems all is well here...

There's something special about sitting outside, feeling the salt air and breeze, and watching the water while enjoying fresh seafood. In an area where dining options can be a little limited, Angelo's feels like a destination. Our server was wonderful - friendly, attentive, and always checking in without being intrusive. For drinks, I ordered the Panacea Painkiller, and it was excellent. I'm a huge fan of painkillers and this was one of the better ones I've had. The kids all got virgin piña coladas and daiquiris and absolutely loved them. We started with popcorn shrimp which disappeared quickly. The kids all ordered the crab claws from the kids menu. We didn't realize they would come fried, and while that's probably exactly how most people prefer them, our family doesn't eat a lot of fried food, so I personally would have enjoyed them more broiled or steamed. That said, they were very tasty, and the kids loved them - especially one child who acted like it was the greatest thing he'd ever eaten. For my entrée, I ordered the whole char-broiled red snapper and it was absolutely delicious. I'm a sucker for a whole fish and they nailed it. The charred flavor was fantastic, and the lemon butter sauce that came with it was incredible. I'm also glad it wasn't fried, which let the fish really shine. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi and loved it as well. By the end of the meal, we were all completely (overly) stuffed. Overall, the combination of great food, friendly service, and the beautiful waterfront setting made for a memorable dinner. We definitely plan to come back to this area for future vacations, and we'd happily return to Angelo's. Next time, we may ask if the crab claws can be prepared broiled or steamed for the kids, but that's just personal preference. Great seafood, great views, great service. Happy customers.

I've been going to Angelo's for 35 years and tonight's dinners (plural) were the worst I've…read moreexperienced at Angelo's. Date: 08/22/26 Time: 5pm Party: 2 Seating: outside Sat right down, not busy. Service and Ambiance were excellent. Salad and the Panacia painkillers were wonderful. Let's talk food. The wife had Snapper fried, black beans and rice with bushpuppys. $37.00 The grease was obviously at a too low a temperature and the coating soaked the oil. The fish was good, once you scraped the oil soaked coating off. Black beans and rice was room temp, but the husbpuppys were hot. For 35 years I've ordered Broiled Heads-on Shrimp. I remember when it wasn't on the menu, but on a chalk board at the entrance when it was available. Ok. The server advised me they didn't have heads-on shrimp. No problem, I've been through this before in the past. I asked do you have heads-off shrimp that you can cook and serve the same way? Server said yes. Along with my entree I ordered French fries and the hushpuppys. $30.00 + $4.00 for Greek trim on my salad. What came out: The shrimp was peeled, normally heads-off shrimp is not, and the shrimp was butterflied. I don't know what sauce that was, but it was nothing like the sauce that normally comes on the dish I've ordered for 35yrs. Good thing wife had cocktail sauce, I used it. It wasn't hot, just above room temperature. My fries were also room temp as well as my hushpuppys. But my wife's were hot???? Get that. Conclusion Never has there been a time that I wanted to send food back!!! At Angelo's???? Unheard of. Will we go back. Absolutely. One bad meal. Why such a post. If you don't wrap them on the knuckles how will they fix an issue.
