We stopped in here for breakfast and we did have wait to be seated just since there was no one at the door and the waitress seemed to be the only front of house employee. The coffee and food though were delicious. I got the smoked trout benedict and my daughter got the tater tot breakfast. Was not expecting such large tater tots but everything had amazing flavor. I have been here twice in the last couple of months and I am impressed every time. I didn't get pictures because I was too excited to dive into my dish. Both times I went I got the Classic Eggs Benedict. The first time I had it with a side of fruit, the second time I got their breakfast potatoes and those are AMAZING. That will definitely be my side choice on my future visits. My friend got the French Toast platter and it looked great, today he got the Hot Fried Chicken Benedict's which was a spicy friend chicken breast served over biscuits. I did get a bite and it was delish, however it was a bit spicy for me. He loves spicy food and he ate every last bite. The service has been excellent both times going. The young lady serving at the bar on 09/27 was in a word, outstanding! She was extremely busy, but poised, efficient, and yet took time to visit and explain the menu, making recommendations. As a past restauranteur, I told her you've got a target on your back. That being, any restaurant operator would want to steel you away if they witnessed what I did. I hope you're (Benedict's owner's) paying her well. As far as the food was concerned, my wife said the Salmon Benedict was excellent. We were absolutely thrilled with every bit of our visit to this place. The decor is exceptional and extremely well designed. Both our meals were excellent Denver Omelette with fruit as the side and avocado toast with sweet potato home fries as the side. Refills were quickly served for our beverages. Went back to Benedict's with my workplace to celebrate a retirement brunch and was very pleased with our entire experience. Completely different experience than previous visit. Meal (breakfast this time -- traditional eggs Benedict was perfect) and our server was top notch. No complaints or issues. I think I found my new favorite breakfast/brunch place in Fargo. We did have a little wait but that is expected for a Saturday at 11 in Fargo. Our waitress Kayla was great and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We started with Bloody Marys and monkey bread. Both delicious. My husband isn't usually a Bloody Mary guy but after tasting mine he ordered one. This place has so much potential to be my go-to spot in Fargo - I absolutely love breakfast, eggs benedict is my favorite breakfast dish, I love monkey bread/caramel rolls, I'm a coffee addict and I'm happy to pay extra for a great meal, in a nice space, prepared by experienced cooks. This place has it all.....on paper. In the real world, however, this place just doesn't inspire love. And I've tried. Three times. I was SURE that I was going to love it. But, no. The first trip: Hot Fried Chicken benny was certainly fried chicken, but was only very luke warm. The hashbrowns were soggy. The "monkey bread" turned out to be just a couple of little cinnamon rolls with runny "caramel" sauce. And I ordered them with the meal thinking they would arrive a little bit before my food. I was wrong, they arrived last. Also had to try the pancakes so I ordered 1 blueberry cake. Yes, it was as dry as it looks in the picture. However, I was convinced that I just hit some snags because they had only been open for a week, so..... 2nd trip: Went with the Classic Eggs Benedict. This time it was all pretty hot with the exception of the english muffin (if that's what it is down there) and I will say that the ham is exceptional. Again, I ordered "monkey bread" since I've heard people raving about them so 1 more chance. They were a little better this time, but this time they came out at the same time as the food. Hashbrowns were better, but nothing special. 3rd time is the charm (right?): Classic benny again since it was pretty good. And, once again, it was pretty good. I'm still not sure what going on with the english muffins but I forgot to ask what they put under them. This time, the hashbrowns were very good. THIS TIME, I ordered the "monkey bread" and some coffee as soon as I sat down. Despite the fact that I was the only person (other than an employee) sitting at the bar, it took the girl about 15 minutes to get me some coffee. Despite the early order, the monkey bread came seconds before the food and it was dry. I didn't even finish it. The bacon, however, came long after the food. Speaking of bacon, I ordered some each time. And each time, I requested CRISPY bacon. Yet each time it was anything but crispy. Yes, it appears to be quality bacon, but each time it came out limp and very, very greasy. I'm not sure if this is a case of a CHEF who thinks I'm too stupid to know what I want and refuses to cook it that way or if they just don't pay attention. Either way, I didn't finish my bacon on each occasion. Now the other constant was the lack of attention I got at the counter. Yes, I understand the 3rd trip where the bartender focused all his attention on the 3 college girls that came in and sat at the bar shortly after I arrived. But still, I didn't get offered a coffee refill once during the 3rd visit and very rarely during other first visits. Considering the coffee is $4.00 (yes....4 dollars), I think that I should expect more than one cup. Now I will admit that the coffee is outstanding. But I shouldn't have to beg for it. This all leaves me in a bit of a quandary. I love what this place COULD be, I just don't know if I want to waste any more time or money in the future to see if they've gotten better. The good news is that I'm not tempted to drive over to the Wayzata location while I'm home - it's too far to take that risk. read more

We went to visit some friends up in Fargo and this was the new place that they couldn't stop talking about, so naturally we got brunch there. The theme: pink pineapples, modern minimalist. Benedict's was very busy, but got us seated in about a half hour and we had a great server who gave us excellent suggestions and over communicated with us about the bar being backed up. Our food came out hot and my only complaint is that the steak was thin and a tad under seasoned. Get the dill Bloody Mary if you are a pickle fan, it was delicious! read more

The hostess came and helped my grandma walk in from outside when it was icy which was so so sweet. The restaurant is so cute too. So cutely done! Nothing worse than an ice cold egg on an eggs Benedict. I think they dunk them in ice water so they don't over cook, but apparently leave them there far too long. We had not been to Benedict's since it opened. While we love going out for breakfast, we usually only do it if we have friends/family in town and our place to take them up until now was BernBaum's which has closed. My husband got a cash birthday gift to be used to take me out to a breakfast place we have never been and so today we got to Benedict's just a little before 8am. We walked in and were immediately impressed with the vibe. You could tell there was a lot of intentionality that went into making it feel cohesive, welcoming and cheerful. We were greeted immediately and we chose to sit in a booth which was comfy and fit in with the decor. We had joked in the car that we wished we could bring in our coffee (of course we would never do that) because we usually prefer it over restaurant coffee but we wanted to try their's as it is part of the full experience of a breakfast place. Abby was our server and she was awesome. We asked lots of questions and she gave us answers even to the point of bringing out the packaging to let us check it out. My husband eats steel cut oatmeal everyday for breakfast and was anxious to try their version. Their's was called Doubting Thomas 7 grain hot cereal. So his first question was about that. Abby brought him the bag it came in and he got to see that it resembled steel cut oats but had 7 grains. Then we ordered the coffee while we perused the menu and it was excellent so that was our next question. She brought that out to us as well, and told us they serve Organic Brazilian coffee that is made specifically for the restaurant. It was $4.00, which is expensive for a cup of coffee in my opinion but it was quality and Abby made sure our cups were never empty. We then ordered, my husband got the hot cereal which came with fresh berries and whipped cream for only $7.00. That seemed like a steal. He added extra crispy hash browns to his order for only 4.00. I ordered The Standard and chose 2 over medium eggs, bacon, hash browns extra crispy and sour dough toast for 14.00. We ordered a plain pancake for 3.00 to share because you have to know if a breakfast place can make pancakes. I didn't time it but the food was out in a reasonable amount of time, enough that you know it was made to order but not a long wait. Everything came hot and was served on hot plates. We loved everything we got. The eggs were a perfect over medium which I don't always find. The hash browns are freshly shredded, they were crispy and had a few green onions in them which was a nice touch. The bacon was delicious and cooked perfectly. The pancake was tasty and the toast came with house made jam (I think today's was a mixed berry but it differs daily apparently) and whipped butter that just presented so pleasantly. I asked if they made the sour dough in house because it clearly was not store bought, but they get that from Breadsmith (a local bread bakery) which was a great answer. The 7 grain hot cereal (which is also local I found out) got high marks from my husband and had lots of fresh fruit. It presented beautifully as you can see in the pictures. Detail and intentionality are the two words that come to mind. This is the third restaurant, they have 2 in the Minneapolis area. For anyone who travels and has ever been to a Snooze AM Eatery in Denver, Phoenix or California, this has that feel to it and that is high praise from us. They do have a kids menu as well as a drink menu. Another tip and possibly a negative is that they add 3% if you use a card to pay, so if that bothers you be sure to bring cash. read more

We arrived there around noon and wanted to try this new restaurant and really wanted a good brunch. Once we were seated (very quickly, thankfully) we were then ignored the entire time we were there. Yes it was busy, but the two tables on either side of us were attended by servers, and still no acknowledgement by staff, not even to see if we had even been helped. It was clear that no one had yet been to our table since we still had our menus, and still no water at the table. After at least 10 minutes of no contact, we got up and left. We told the hostess that we were leaving due to this situation. She was apologetic, but there was never a time we felt welcome by this establishment and that they wanted our business. Well, now everyone we know will know that Benedict's doesn't deserve our business. Our friends have also expressed they will find other places for brunch. The only reason I can give one star is because of the hostess, otherwise, I would give zero stars. read more

Really overpriced for what you receive. Very, very small portions, my husband ordered the daily omelet, and he didn't like the taste. No toast with an $15,00 omelet order and $5.50 for a cup of black coffee. Too many other breakfast places to eat so won't be going back. I was hoping for better, but the reviews weren't wrong. Walked into the restaurant, was not greeted but was meet by the host staff and a waitress arguing about where to seat customers. Was first greeted by being asked how many kids..., which was meant for the other customers. Then sat at the bar and not once did we again get greeted or a hello/ welcome to.. My husband got the biscuit and gravy, biscuits were dry and lack of gravy. My plate was good, but again not once asked how our food was... Poor customer service especially when we had to listen to all the complaints from the bartender and wait staff as they grabbed drinks from the bar. read more

We went for brunch when it was still newly opened. They seem to have a lot of kinks to work out with servers and menu knowledge. The restaurant is very trendy and felt like I was outside of Fargo! The food is delicious when you come to Benedict's it's incredible actually and it could be even better when you don't have a waitress who gives you an attitude. We are actually from out of town and we paid a visit to a breakfast joint on the way to our next location and unfortunately the waitress that was wearing the pink bandanna. She is heavier set. She decided to give us an attitude when we asked her to bring our daughter a kids cup with no ice in her water and it doesn't matter if you're heavier skinny when you approach a table and you are already unprofessional, you'll come out with an attitude. It's already gonna be a hard day for you and regardless of how your morning is going or how hard the day is you're still there to do a job and to remain professional we need to be mindful and have common sense when we speak to people perhaps even her tip would've been higher, but the eye rolling of asking to have the ice removed from her cup was absolutely childish. She rolled her eyes, grabbed the cup and rolled her eyes in disbelief. She seemed extremely irritated if something like that can make you irritated then there is some trouble. It was almost as if I was dealing with a teenager. It wasn't necessary. We need to be mindful, respectful, and have common sense while it's still free. read more
