First, DW got this package delivered to the Gulf faster than Amazon or any other vendor. Packages typically take about 2 weeks to get there, but they somehow got it to me within 1 week. The Desert Bundle consisted of Blue and Buried, Pumpkin, and Gingerbread. All three were on point with a strong flavor the actually matched the label. And let me tell you about the aroma- wow. I made this every day in a large military building. When I made the Blue and Buried it made the whole area smell like blueberry muffins. We would randomly hear voices passing by saying "who's making muffins!?" People would knock on our door to ask about it. Generals and Colonels would stop by asking us for some, either because they smelled it or they heard from someone how good it was. People wanted to trade us deployment stickers and other items for it. I am sure the aroma wafting through the building alone made some new DW customers. Death Wish Coffee is a must try! .

We had the dark roast and would have thought it would be a little more robust in flavor but it wasn't. It seemed a bit weak like not enough coffee used or the roast wasn't roasted dark enough. The service was great however so that was a plus. Nice and friendly staff all the way around. There were a lot of locals there so it seems to do a decent business. But to be honest, it's the only coffee house in town. The place seemed a bit dark and dirty. The exhaust system must be not working or not strong enough because the entire place smelled of what ever was being cooked on the griddle. We sat upstairs and our eyes watered the entire time we were there. The odor got on our clothes and stuck with us until we got home. Their restroom wasn't clearly marked and was kind of hidden back by the kitchen area. It was also very dark where it was located. A little more light all the way around would be helpful. The concept and decor is a great idea but it felt more like what we use to call a "greasy spoon" restaurant than a quaint coffee house. It won't take much to make it better but as it is, can't say much good about the experience it Iron Coffee Co. I hope they take this review in a positive light as there really isn't much that needs to be done to make it a very special place to go for coffee. This burnt little hockey puck of a sandwich was $8 and the lukewarm chai latte that I got was $4 for a small. And they don't give you the regular sized croissants in the display, this is about a quarter of the size. I've had better sandwiches from 7Eleven. The service was slow as they only had one person working, probably why my sandwich was burnt. I will stick with the hotel restaurant next time.

Their coffee roasts are varied and exceptionally high quality. I stocked up on several bags of beans on my recent trip. And the drinks they make they make with craft and obvious care. It was a beautiful morning so perfect to sit and enjoy the warm weather, people watching and walk around the town, if you desire.
