We never got to try it! We got in there the lady said we're full one ahead of you and you can't wait in here. She was very rude to us.

Trying to find a good "sit down" breakfast place in Prineville has taken awhile but we finally discovered Debbie Sue's! This is definitely where the locals go. The restaurant was full when we visited but we only had to wait about 10 minutes. It seats about 35. One couple caught our attention & said "We're almost done!", which kind of reflected the ambiance of the whole place! We also noticed during our visit, that as the tables emptied one by one, people would stop at 2 or 3 tables on their way out to greet their friends. A very happy place! There was only 1 cook & 1 waitress who were both pros at handling the load. They loved their job which is a huge + for their guests! FOOD: It was all very good. But when Sharrah brought my "1/2" order of Sue's Cafe Breakfast, I said "I think this is the FULL order right?". She just laughed & said "Nope"! COFFEE: Well, I have to agree with some other reviews that it's pretty weak but not a deal breaker for this entire experience. Give them a try. Be prepared to wait a bit. You'll be glad you did. I feel as if I've stepped back in time, this town has a great amount of charm, and it seems that a specific level of care is poured into every I've eaten here. I was just in the mood for fried chicken, since I can't seem to find anything other than KFC here, so I chose this down home cafe because it seemed like the kind of place that would have it. It's a cute little storefront establishment with a couple of really sweet ladies working here, with lottery machines tucked into the corner. They told me they didn't have fried chicken, but had chicken strips. So I went with that and fries, which turned out to be fresh and hand cut! Very awesome! I took my food to go, and committed the cardinal sin of not photographing it, so I apologize for the lack of pics. But let me tell you, those were the largest chicken strips I've ever had, and they were quite juicy and tasty as well! Those fresh cut fries, *chef's kiss* were absolutely off the chain good! Let me just say, these ladies may have earned a repeat visit before I leave. Sometimes, it's the simple things that knock your socks off. read more

What a great little place. I was traveling through Prineville, wanted breakfast and found this little gem. It's small but every table was full with regulars. That was a good sign. Our server was friendly and had some sass which I always enjoy. She was attentive and kept the coffee flowing. I had the French toast and bacon which were cooked to perfection and reasonably priced. I ate, enjoyed some banter with other customers and was on my way. Next time I'm going through Prineville I will definitely stop in again! read more

I LOVE this adorable little 50's rock 'n' roll styled cafe! Luckily, it was the very first place that popped up during a quick search on Google for delicious breakfast in Prineville. First off, it's tiny. Like super small and cozy. There couldn't have been more than 6 places to sit and not much room for large groups (although a party of 10 did saunter in and were happily accommodated). We were served coffee right away. It was weaker than I hoped but I usually don't walk into a small restaurant like this and expect Starbucks Reserve. So it was fine. My husband bellied up to Sue's Cafe Breakfast (choice of bacon or sausage, 2 eggs, hash browns and toast, $10.75). I chose Chicken Fried Steak (served with gravy, hash browns, two eggs and toast, $9.75). We were impressed! He got 4 slices of thick, perfectly cooked bacon which we agreed was generous. There was plenty of gravy with my dish and the hash browns were perfectly crispy. It was just exactly how chicken fried steak should be - deep-fried, fatty deliciousness! The portions were large enough to keep the both of us filled for our entire 6 hour trip home. I would definitely recommend Debbie Sue's, and will happily return when given the chance! One more thing - Debbie Sue's is strictly 21 and over, even during breakfast hours! We did see the owner enforce the policy. Some may not favor this however I respect the owner's decision to have a such a policy that's followed through. read more

Cute little unexpected place in a strip mall. We drove from out of town just to have breakfast and I overheard the cook say she was going to end breakfast at 12 PM. My husband drove to meet me and got in with six minutes to spare and when the waitress asked if he could order breakfast, the cook just snapped back "No, Im done". I had to convince my hubbie not to leave since we came from 30 minutes away to have Father's Day breakfast here (having heard it was great breakfast!). The sad part is after we ordered, the restaurant was completely empty and it would've literally been the last breakfast she had to make. We then split an okay Reuben and over cooked onion rings. We were disappointed. The up side is the waitress was so so so nice. Loved her. If it wasn't for her, this would be a two star review. We miiiiiight return to try for breakfast again, but I guess we will go at 10am to be safe read more

Great little restaurant! We had 1/2 of the chef salad and it was so good. Everything was hand cut on the salad and the blue cheese dressing was homemade. The salad was the perfect size. Nice kinda retro feel to the interior. They have lottery machines so no one under 21 can enter. read more

The service was quick and friendly, she did get my order wrong. I asked for English muffin and got toast. The food was your average greasy spoon diner fare. It wasn't bad. It wasn't great. I would rank it a half a point above any of the big chains along the freeway. If you're hungry and need something in your belly, it's fine. It sure not worth the four or five stars that some people are giving it though. I would've given it two stars, but the server was really nice. read more

Definitely a "locals" hangout which generally means the food is good and that happened to be the case! Cafe is small with limited tables but our wait time was less than 5 minutes. Coffee wasn't great and I wasn't impressed with the biscuits. Ham, eggs and hash browns were good. read more

This place is exactly what it needs to be. Quick friendly service, good breakfast selections and a really fair price. Classic American breakfast : 2 egg omelette is still a great portion and mine was stuffed with tricolor peppers and bacon and cheese so I imagine the three egg omelette is huge. The biscuits and gravy were just right and the half order was a perfect size for a nor.al person. Hash browns were done right. Can't ask for anything more. read more

Grabbed take out during our stay in Prineville. Great little breakfast spot that quickly took and prepared our order. We had the omelette, biscuits and gravy (half order is huge) and the French toast. Everything tasted great and was prepared the way we asked. Only possible complaint is that they used styrofoam to-go containers...might think about changing that to something more sustainable. read more

This is a hidden gem in Prineville.The restaurant owner and staff are the friendliest. The food and menu are amazing with a daily morning special posted outside. We have been meeting for breakfast now for -4- months and now won't go to another area restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Went to Tastee treat for breakfast but it was 10 mins till 11 and breakfast food was all over the grill and the lady said were done cooking breakfast I left there irritated because it shows lame customer service anyway was better for me because I got to Debbie sues about 1105 and she said we just quit serving breakfast but I will go ahaead for you and make it. Still going to Debbie Sue's every Wednesday. We met the owner, Steve, yesterday. Great guy! He said Tammy had been telling him about our group and he wanted to meet us. Chef salads (1/2) are excellent and more than enough. Specials have included a hot ham and cheese sandwich and, last week, a chili dog with fries. Lots of regulars seem to come by and Tammy knows a lot of folks by name. We enjoy Debbie Sue's and Tammy is a really nice gal. She knows us by name and, as stated before, she has a pretty good idea of what we want before we do. Drinks hit the table almost as soon as we walk in. Do I recommend Debbie Sue's? YES! read more
