This is the way all hardware stores should be They know their stuff and they have the right parts. Need something fixed I go here first They have parts that the big box stores don't even know exist. Yes they're closed on Sunday but I can work around it for the best advise and right repair parts. Great return policy for parts that do not work for the project. read more

The best thing I can say about this place is that they have the things that Home Depot and Lowe's do not have, and you can likely find that obscure part here. Also, the staff seem to known their stuff. However, you would never know it because every person I've dealt with here has the personality of a doorknob. I've felt each time that I was inconveniencing them and they were annoyed at having to help me find something. Which is weird considering their parts, particularly plumbing parts, are not well labeled or organized as they are all made in China aftermarket parts so how could I possibly know where to look? Considering that as well, the prices always seem a bit high (I've only been here for plumbing parts). Bottom line: you can probably find what you need here, but don't expect traditional customer service but do expect to pay more (for plumbing parts anyway) read more

Hardware stores like Debbie Supply are a dying breed. But the force is strong with this one. Thanks to the knowledgeable staff, I usually get the right part on the first trip. I have a 60 yr old leaking bathtub/shower faucet set that needed repair. I took one of the valve stems to the Professionals at Debbie after work. We talked about options and they recomended a faucet rebult kit and a seat removal tool. They had it in stock. The rebuild kit contained everything, fit perfectly and in less than one Hour I have a new faucet and valve set working perfectly. All for under a C note. Including the expert advice. They have so many niche products, I almost always think that if Debbie's doesn't have it then it doesn't exist! Get the part you need the first time, without endless hunting and with confidence that you're going to be able to fix it the first time. Debbie's has been around for decades for good reason. Went to Debbie Supply to buy a couple of short lengths of copper pipe for craft projects. A foot of 2 inch, and a foot of 1 inch. It was cut at the back counter. On the way up front to pay, I notice that the 2 inch piece was about 11-3/8" long, not a full 12". I was a little annoyed, but figured I wouldn't be a jerk about it, and let it go. Then I get home and find the guy cut me a piece of 1-1/4 inch, not 1 inch, which I couldn't use. It's a 60 mile round trip in there from where I live. So I call the store, and explain the problem, expecting to be told "just bring it back" at best. Instead, the guy on the phone took my address, and shipped me replacement pieces for both. No questions asked. I had them the next day. Took the original pieces back a few weeks later when I was back in ER on other business. Debbie supply has excellent customer service. read more

I needed some plumbing material to install a faucet, so I came to Debbie Supply because of the reviews. Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience. Although they have a reasonable selection of material, the customer service was very bad. I needed some help so I approached the desk opposite to the cashier where it says 'Ask a Pro' and asked the person a question. He snapped in a very rude way and wasn't interested in understanding what I needed. So I left and went to The Home Depot where the staff were very helpful. Good customer service is the corner stone of any business, and from my experience, Debbie Supply don't have it. read more

I was unable to fix an item and took it to Debbie Supply, where I received immediate assistance. A very nice employee (I believe his name was Michael) spent at least a half hour repairing the piece, then went above and beyond, cleaning it and adding a product to make sure the problem didn't recur. Now 50 years later, so many times they have the part you need or can help you find a work around. This is who the big box competitor down the road will send you to when they strike out.
