After they cut a customers hair they would gab for about 2-5 minutes, even looking over at me looking at them. Next we can go over the price, there was no option for a line up. Straight up $18.95 for 5 minutes of a trimmer and a comb. That is absurd and there were some issues I had with the result, but like food service, I was not comfortable bringing it up so it didn't end up even worse.

I was told that it would be a lengthy process and a pricey one as well. I was well aware of this and it was no problem for me. waited a week for an appointment. Stylist did a couple of test strips to see if the precolored brown would lift. After an hour of saturation, my hair still had much red in it. She shampooed it and gave it a trim (6+ inches!!) (my hair was down to my butt. This stylist seemed very preoccupied with something going on it the salon throughout my visit. Was repeatedly interupted by other staff who needed her immediate attention, I was left to sit and wait for her. Hair was washed cut and blow dried ( not entirely)... still damp underneath... when I was told: "I wish I had time to flat iron it before you go." Me too but I said I'd do it when I got home. She informed me that I should find a color specialist If I wanted to go platinum as she didn't feel comfortable doing it. I was charged $70 for a wash, semi-dry and cut straight across. I questioned the woman at desk on this price and she said it was because I had long hair. Even if she had completed the visit with flat iron, $70 seems a bit much. I left her a $10 tip, only because I would have embarrassed not to. Was not at all what I was expecting from this visit. I assumed that with this stylists 40+ years of experience she would have known how to do what I came in for. I should have been told that they did not have a color specialist before anyone touched my hair!!

Update to my previous review: No need to wait for a text to…read moreenter, you can just walk in and masks are optional for both patrons and employees. Partitions have been taken down also. They have reverted to their previous tip policy, cash. They no longer allow you to put the tip on your credit card. In a world where cash is rarely used, I find this inconvenient as I don't usually have cash on hand and when I do, it is less than the amount I would tip so now I need to make a special trip to the ATM and then find 5's and 1's. I understand it costs the salon a bit more to process, but I also feel a top line salon should offer top line service in every aspect, which includes ease of payment and minimizing client inconvenience. I will look into using paypal, but that will also be dependent on the hair stylist having a paypal account as well as their comfort in using it. I am still very happy with the quality of my color, it lasts and does not dry out my hair or quickly fade, even in the Plymouth sun! Leah is efficient, friendly and every time I leave my hair looks wonderful.
