Well, two were not safe, and the 3rd, in the carport was icky looking AND made the carport too narrow to pull my car all the way up, so I wanted to do something, but i wasnt sure what. I found Alpha & Omega Construction on Yelp -and they had great reviews, so I contacted them. They responded right away and the next day Sam came out to look at what I needed and to give me an estimate for the work. He spent probably 2 hours looking over the decks and discussing with me and measuring and then left and said he would email me the estimates. I was really nervous because I knew that a project like this would be very expensive! a couple days later, his Dad, Alex, sent over the estimate. It was a great estimate, very fair pricing and so I accepted it. They started on the day I needed them to, however when they got here, Id had an idea about the carport porch. Originally they were going to take about 5" out and make it narrower, but I asked if they could instead pivot the whole thing so it faced the other way. Alex said, yep they can do that and gave me a good price on doing that. So then they got to work to disassemble both the front and back porches,. But then it started pouring down rain, so they said they would be back the next day. They showed up the next day and literally built both the porches completely, other than the railings!! And then the 3rd day, they finished those up and started on the carport. I didnt think they were going to get it done, but they did!! They worked until almost 7pm JUST so I wouldnt be left with an unfinished porch. And I cant say enough about what BEAUTIFUL work they do!! My porches look SOOOOO wonderful and are strong and sturdy and the little touches, like rounding the tops of the posts, make it look absolutely stunning!! I would call them again in a heartbeat!! I was thrilled to discover that they also paint houses AND all the little repair stuff that needs to be done (window trims etc) they are able to do too!!! Alex and Sam are the kind of people that you REALLY want taking care of your woodworking needs at your house! They show pride in their work and work VERY hard and diligently to make sure that the finished product is not only beautiful, BUT also to code! He built, replaced, and insulated walls; added doors and a window; mounted floor-to-ceiling pantry cabinets; and handled all the trim and molding. Nothing was out of scope, and whenever an issue arose, we discussed it and moved forward as a creative team. He and his assistant also tackled a handful of small household jobs that had been nagging me--replacing the floor of the kitchen sink, adjusting the door to accommodate pull-out bins, and reviving a sagging garden gate I'd been quoted $3,000 to replace. As others have noted, Brendan is communicative, helpful, and upbeat. He is highly skilled and completed everything on budget. That's practically unheard of in a remodeling project. Oh, and for women homeowners: it's refreshing to work with a contractor who treats you with friendly respect and collaboration. If you have a project in mind, reach out! We had pre-purchased special anchors and screws to install a couple of wall beds on our apt, but our parts ended up not working... =[. Brendan showed up right on time, had all the tools needed to do the job and clean up, and extra heavy duty anchors and screws ! Brendan worked quickly, efficiently, did a great job and cleaned up so it looked like he was never there. except the giant wall beds expertly installed. We have had floors redone at different properties at least five separate times. We have had the misfortune of choosing poorly on one of those jobs and the end result was a very poor job that did not meet our expectations. As a result, I am very careful selecting who refinishes my floors. It makes a huge difference in the outcome if the workers are inexperienced and / or indifferent to the quality of the work. I highly recommend Brendon and his brother. They are perfectionists and take great pride in thier work.

I had Leitner do three big remodels on my properties. I thought that they were reputable. The last…read morejob they did for me on my home was a major renovation in our master bath, the bulk of a $90K project, removing a tub and enlarging the shower. They did something wrong, and the shower leaked very very slowly until it finally became clear that it needed repair. They came and looked at it and incorrectly guessed that our problems were caused by settling. They then ghosted me. We hired a different contractor to do the $40K repairs. I repeatedly asked Leitner to help defray some of this cost. They hid behind their warranty, essentially saying that because it was a slow leak, too much time had passed and they refused to help. It should have lasted longer than 5 years!!! Who else's fault could this be? I guess it's my fault for trusting Leitner. I urge Yelpers to not make the same mistake I made.
