I am very upset I went to Yelp after my experience with this thief of a dentist. I knew I needed some extensive work so went to her because she was in my network and I needed a primary dentist in network to make referrals to specialists in network. When I went to her she told me she would be able to do work that non of the the dental professionals I saw said were possible. When I started to question her, she immediately said they were wrong and even the cleaning that my regular dentist did was poor and she had to redo it. Meanwhile the cleaning was done less than a month ago. After her convincing me to see her 3 days in a row and billing me 2k, she sent me to a periodontist at her Midland Park office. The Perio looked at me for less than 1 minute and said what she was trying to do was impossible. When I told him how much money I paid for what she did, he even said I should be looking for a refund. When I went the following day to her office, I waited in the lobby for 40 minutes while she was with a patient. All I wanted to do was discuss why she did what she did. Why she billed me what she did. Instead of speaking to me she called the cops and had me removed. I never talked to her let alone raised my voice to her. In addition she convinced me to take out a supplemental insurance. Her front desk employee was not there the first two days I was there. When she ran my CC I asked about what insurance covered and what the supplemental insurance was going to cover, she said nothing. I don't know why you purchased the secondary insurance. She is unprofessional, condescending and in my opinion only looking to take as much money from you as she can. Both offices are a disaster with equipment and loose papers and files everywhere. No one should ever see her. I don't know how the dental board allows her to practice as all the complaints on this sight are all the same. read more

This was the dentist assigned to me by my insurance company. She has an awful bedside manner and is rude and unprofessional. She's nasty to her staff in front of patients. She recommended unnecessary procedures and treatments. She refused to fill a cavity unless I allowed her to whiten my teeth, claiming that the peroxide would clean under my gum line. When I got chemical burns on my gums, she dismissed me. She told me I need dental aligners to stop grinding my teeth-ive been told by several other dentists and oral surgeons that I'm lucky to have never needed orthodontics. She didn't submit any of my visits to insurance, and for a year and a half has refused to give me a full copy of my records so i could do so myself. She refused to answer simple questions. When I asked how many fillings I needed, she simply said "a bunch," and wouldn't give me a number. I have no confidence that anything I DID allow her to do was necessary. read more

I use this dentist because they cover my insurance. all I can say is wow!!! but not the good type of wow. First off, every single time I've been there the doctor always starts with you have so many cavities. however, this is false as I've gone to another dentist after and they have told me that I have none or maybe one at most. her x-ray machine is so old and the pictures come out in like a Polaroid type. most x-ray machines require 5 to 10 pictures, but they took about 20 pictures of my teeth. as well, they have somebody take a picture of your teeth with a phone, which is very odd to me. I thought that I was the only one that had issues, but after reading the other reviews, it seems like this is an ongoing problem. it is truly sad that a place like this could be in business as they do not accurately diagnose the patient. I had to cancel my appointment due to my son not feeling well. I called the office as soon as they opened and the lady on the phone wasn't very nice. She told me a time slot was appointed to me and that it doesn't give them time to fill my appointment slot. My appointment was a morning appointment and I still gave two hours notice. Scammer. Asked me if I wanted her to pull my daughter's tooth, when she knew my insurance didn't cover Then pretended that's why she asked, when she hadn't even mentioned it. I told her to ask my daughter. She walked in and just pulled the tooth before I even signed a consent. I never signed the consent, so she couldn't charge me (I'd have sued for malpractice if she did and probably should have anyway, since I see so many others have had bad experiences there). I would give her 0 stars if i could. She rushed through my treatment and was more concerned about finishing rather than if she was doing a good job. To give an example, she left the suction device in my mouth multiple times when she was not doing any cleaning. That is a huge no-no because it dries out the mouth. I had to take it out myself. She also has no regard for a patient's comfort level. She made my lips bleed because she was pulling on them so hard. WhenIi made a sound of distress, she simply stated "hold on" in an annoyed tone and pulled on them harder. To her, my lips were merely an obstacle in her way to finishing the examination of my teeth. Her crass attitude was also not helpful. These are some of her most memorable lines during my short visit, "They're all screwed up" - regarding the alignment of my teeth "You could've fooled me" - when i told her i flossed "You only want what insurance can pay, right?" - when I asked her to give me a list of additional treatment options In short, she is the most unprofessional and rudest healthcare professional I've ever encountered. read more

Stay away!!! I got completely overcharged and my insurance never saw a claim. They refused reimbursement after my insurance went after them via their complaint department (my insurance ended up reimbursing the money to me). The office staff told me my simple filling wasn't covered by insurance at all (a complete lie) AFTER they had placed Novocaine injections and my face was numb. They use archaic equipment and their Midland Park location is antiquated and unclean. Copies of my x-rays were printed on paper that were completely useless for my next dentist. Dr. Rosenblatt tried to harass me into making an appointment with the periodontist because of "bad gums". My new dentist confirms that my gums are happy and healthy! Please do not go here!!! A response to Deborah R.'s comment: There was no misunderstanding in my opinion. You tried to tell me that my insurance wouldn't cover my filling but the insurance confirmed to me (and tried to call you too but nobody could be reached for days) that the procedure was indeed covered. Even after the insurance said multiple times that they will cover the procedure, you refused to reimburse me and send the claim to the insurance. Not much of a misunderstanding really! She was a horror, a clever scan artist! I went there because she is in network with my Medicare insurance. She briefly looked at me, took an inordinate amount of x-rays, then told me I had awful teeth in the worst shape ever. Her suggestion of needed dental work was far too much as my income is solely Social Security. She left briefly, came back and said, What if I can get you some money?...would you like to start working on your teeth today. She left for a minute again and said I got you the money. Turned out what she did was take out a loan in my name without my knowledge. She did it by using my social security number which I had put down on the incoming patient paperwork. It was for more than $1,000. Learning this, I told my costly but honest dentist, whom I was having difficulty with the cost so decided to try this in-network offer). So my regular dentist was shocked and told me where to send a complaint ...the NJ State Board of Dentistry. Between them and my Medicare insurance company, and the loan company, I was able to have the whole loan withdrawn and the money I had given refunded. I just looked on the site again and see that Debra Rosenblatt is still on the in-network list of my Medicare, Clover Health. This is hard to believe. Unfortunately, I have to rate this deplorable business with a star just to write a review. PLEASE READ this review before even considering making an appointment. My partner was suffering from a severe toothache in March, and due to the pandemic, contacted 800 dentist for a dentist who PARTICIPATED in our insurance and was available for emergencies. They gave us Rosenblatt in Hawthorne so he proceeded to make an appointment. Before even diagnosing his condition, she already had appointments scheduled for periodontics and the such. The person at the front desk JoAnn, demanded an upfront deposit of $500.00 in lieu of the fact that they participated in our insurance AND the audacity to demand money during a pandemic!! So, my partner decided to leave $1,000.00 deposit unaware of what the bill would be AND ALSO UNAWARE of what was to transpire in the next 6 MONTHS!! So, here we are in September and there is a credit/refund due to us for approx. $350.00 SINCE MAY!! This refund reflects all payments made by the insurance and my partner's portion of his courteous and ethical deposit of $1,000.00 The office has admitted and certified, both to my partner and the insurance, that this refund is correct!! There have been dozens and dozens AND dozens of phone calls by us, our insurance, and this refund still has not been issued. The supposed dentist Rosenblatt is a complete scam and fraud and her racial undertones are despicable. And as far as that JoAnne who told us on several occasions that she is the person to speak to for any refunds...well this office is now a crime scene for stealing our money. Every word out of her mouth is a absolute lie, and at one point last month, according to the insurance, she was no longer working there, Of course, they have been reported to the Dental Board of NJ and legal proceedings are inevitable. I tend to think that bad reviews often come from pain in the neck customers and aren't really a great representation of a business, but my experience with this doctor needs to be put online. First off, this practice picked up and put me on hold 4 separate times over several weeks and never returned to the phone. When I finally scheduled and came in, they were 40 min late. Fine, it happens. But then, during my entire time in the chair, Dr R was telling me I had all sorts of problems and needed all sorts of work - fair again! But it couldn't be more obvious that she was a scam artist. To be safe and make sure what she told me wasn't true, I went to my parents periodontist just a couple hours later - one of the best and most respected practices in Bergen county. As soon as I told them I saw Rosenblatt earlier that day, they said, "saying that lady is a piece of work is an underestimate." The dr looked at my teeth and told me that everything she recommended I do was complete BS and not necessary. Their imaging software actually showed that I still had tartar on my teeth because she gave me a half-hearted cleaning! This lady does not care about patients. She was hard selling me on serious perio work that I learned that I absolutely positively did NOT need. She's a total crook, and honestly, calling her and blasting her over the phone would be a total waste of time - she probably deals with it all the time and thinks everyone else is wrong, not understanding that she is the common denominator of tons of pissed off people. As soon as I walked in her practice, I had a feeling I shouldn't be there. She was on my insurance plan and that was the only reason I went. The way Dr. Rosenblatt gets 5 star ratings on Google, is she gives everyone a FREE electric toothbrush for giving her a 5 star rating. In other words, it is not a valid rating, rather it's an illegal bribe. I was going there for 5 months and decided not to rate her until all the work was done It was quite extensive work, which I later learned from other experts in the field, was not necessary. Dr. Rosenblatt wanted to charge for pictures of my teeth I never requested or agreed to. She would do the same procedure 3 and 4 times then charge for it each time. I also suffered excessive scraping of my gums and was in pain for a good month. Reviewers are correct about 1st time patients. Usually I was the only one waiting at the office patient area. I've been to dentists all my life and I should have read these reviews before going to her. I have never had a worst dentist, periodontist work, and cleaning in my life. Don't bother. Some of the staff is ok, but the main dentist is extremely unpleasant and this is reflected in every interaction. I disliked Dr. Rosenblatt immediately. She's rushed, and disrespectiful of others, which shows up as being abrupt, dismissing patient concerns and giving a hard sell to cosmetic and unnecessary procedures. I've never before been asked to pay for an oral cancer screening since this is usually part of the dentist's normal job. They spent more time talking to me about bleaching than anything else, and the dentist made a casual comment when leaving after examining the hygenist's work about some tartar she had missed --- telling me to be more careful. I was shocked that this happened and that no effort was made to address it (except more talk about bleaching.) Clearly Dr. Rosenblatt defines her professional role very differently than any other dentist I've been to, not as a professional about treating patients, but as a factory owner processing a product. Maybe I've been lucky but I've never had a dentist treat me this way. They don't return phone calls, haven't issued required referrals and have tried to charge extra fees. In an emergency situation, calling her cell phone, she said, "I can't help you," and hung up. The physical office is just adequate. My husband has been an unhappy patient for several years, but after three visits, I will not return. And in response to Dr. Rosenblatt's office reply: I never once had a phone call returned as I tried to address various issues while I was a patient. Perhaps the energy spent on appearing responsive online would be better spent being responsive to actual patients. My son needed an urgent referral to a dental surgeon. I called repeatedly for this (easy for you) to be done, but it was not done, nor were my calls returned. Finally the insurance company stepped in, so he could be treated. Dr. Rosenblatt's passion is clearly monetary alone. If you see this, maybe it will have an impact on the way you treat patients in the future. I was getting bleaching on my teeth on her recommendation. She had me pay ahead $500 ( I was not suspicious when she asked me pay ahead.), then the procedure did not go right. I was having extreme pain on the tooth she did filling on and the procedure had to stop. My teeth were not whitened at all. Dentist Rosenblatt is refusing to give me money back saying that she has a record ( her false medical record) that she provided the whitening treatment and witnesses ( her made-up office girls). Since she got the money already, she does not provide further dental service. She is a crook. NO quality and NO ethics. Her dental practice is full of lies and scams! I would rate her dental practice with a big ZERO! For the one filling she did on one of my teeth, my insurance fully covers it, but she had me pay extra $50. I did not know up to now she already had bad reviews from so many patients. I agree with the reviewers 100 %. I like to get my money back, $500, since my teeth did not get whitened all. MONEY HUNGRY NO TALENT DENTIST !!!! When I called for my first appointment, I told the receptionist I wanted a cleaning, X Rays and I have a loose cap. They did the cleaning that not very good and took X Rays using film, the old way. (I didn't know that there were still dentists that still use film instead of the new digital system) Dr. Rosenblatt tried to sell my Laminates and I wasn't interested and a Oral Cancer screening for an additional $90.00. When she couldn't sell me, she never reviewed my X Rays with me and didn't have time to check my loose cap. The office is old and dirty and she looks like a mess herself. If I could give her a Minus ***** I would. I have also submitted a complaint form with my dental insurance Guardian. One last note. I called to pick up my X Rays so I can go to another dentist, but the "Money Hungry" Dr. Rosenblatt wants to charge me $30.00. They make you sign a form when you first come in that states you have to pay for a copy of your X Rays. Don't sign anything. Also, when you go in, they ask to take a picture of you and they try the "Hard Sell" by giving you your photo with your teeth looking when with the Laminates that will cost you thousands. I have never written a review in my life but this one is a responsibility as if I don't write it my Conscience will not leave me alone. I went to Dr Rosenblatt with high hopes as my wife had gone on google and read the reviews there. Turned out we should've been here on yelp because that's where the real information is. Dr Rosenblatt was supposed to do one root canal, very simple... well as I sit here writing this review I have spent almost 7500.00 dollars ( between insurance and credit cards) trying to undo the damage she did to my mouth. I was charged 750 .00 dollars for a bleaching kit that I did not ask for, she was grinding teeth that never needed to be touched at all, ( I had one of the best dentists in New Jersey before her) and he had made a lower bridge that fit perfectly, I could eat anything I wanted with it in and after putting it in every morning would forget it was even there! Well by the time she was done with me I ended up losing it on a job in Manhattan as I couldn't even bite into a sandwich with it in. I had to remove it before eating . That was four thousand dollars down the drain because she figured she would charge me for a new one. I don't say these things without proof... I went to an honest dentist because the pain I left her office in was SO SEVERE I could not eat, sleep and had to leave work because I couldn't think about anything but pain. My wife and I were told by the new dentist that to save the tooth she was doing the root canal on we would have to see an endodontist.... well that cost us another trip into the city because none were in my network except for there and another 1200.00 dollars. We are speaking to my Union rep about rescinding all money paid to her. This woman is a money hungry (doctor) and I'm using the term very loosely. Please stay away!!! She has caused my family more misery and pain than I could ever put into words!! My mouth was more than halfway to perfect when I went to see her and now I'm starting ALL OVER. Dr Rosenblatt I am hoping you read this. I don't understand how you have not been forced to close your doors, I hope someday someone does to you what you have done to me and all these other people in the reviews I read before mine. Well I read the reviews and thought that most reviews are from people that have had a poor experience and had very high expectations. This may be my second negative post in 15 years because of that belief, I go out of my way to post positive reviews because most people do not post positive experiences due to their expectations. PLEASE READ THIS, do not even think of going to Dr. Rosenblatt for a myriad of reasons and I will now name them. 1) Unprofessional (not the staff but the Dr.) 2) Treats people as if inferior 3) Recommends unnecessary dental work and then proceeds without checking if insurance will cover said work-she loves the whitening. I could go on for A LONG TIME but here is the short list my kids went in and Dr. R basically pushed my wife out of the room so she could do whatever she wanted and then recommend additional likely unnecessary work which would have resulted in thousands of $'s out of pocket, she did get me for a couple hundred but luckily my wife bulldogged in and told her enough is enough. I went there for the first time this past weekend and was in the chair for close to two hours getting a million x-rays done, turns out I had a cavity. I was told I need my teeth bleached (which by the way are extremely white naturally and I am always being complemented on how white they are) sealants on my teeth and an appointment with a gum specialist. I got home and explained everything to my husband and he was floored that they want to charge me $675 to whiten my teeth, he insisted that I call them right back and cancel, which I did. The doctor answered the phone and was very annoyed and rushed me off the phone. I then decided to google the doctor (which I should have done BEFORE my appointment and learned that she does this to all her patients. That's when I realized what I was dealing with. She doesn't care about her patients, she cares about $$$. I then called this morning to cancel the whiting trays and they advised me that I have to pay $150 for them making the trays. In addition, they charged me a co-pay for a visit that I have this coming week!!!! This is how this office works. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE AT ALL COSTS. I WILL BE GOING BACK TO OLD DENTIST... LAFAYETTE FAMILY CARE...They have never recommended any of these treatments to me. I actually feel very violated by this office and can't believe I was taken.
