In the spring, I ordered decking for my condo. Al was very helpful and patient with me as he helped me figure out Exactly what I needed for my order since I had never done this before. Shortly after I placed my original order, I changed my mind and decided to order more boards to do a more thorough deck repai/replacement. Again, Al was very patient, kind, understanding, and helpful to me as he needed to add onto my order. Later in the summer when I discovered that I needed to exchange a few boards that were slightly defective, And replace them in order to finish the project, Al was very accommodating. He arranged for the boards to be picked up, he applied a credit for those boards to my account, and explained very thoroughly and apologetically that the fact that the replacement and additional Boards I needed were on back order and he wasn't exactly sure when they would be in. He said that he would be in touch with me again when he knew more. As promised, al followed up with me a few weeks later to make sure that I still wanted the boards. I told him that I did, and he said that again they were still back ordered but he was hoping to see them within the next few weeks. I just received a phone call from Al today telling me that the boards were in and they can be delivered to my home on Tuesday. Because of my experience, I plan to do more business with this company in the spring for a different project. Al has set the bar for customer service pretty high. The last incident just occurred last week. Several of my windows were leaking between the panes. I started a warranty claim to get the lower sashes replaced. Worked with a guy "Chris" and he tried to get them but was unsuccessful. The sashes did arrive at my house 2 months later which was fine. Communication was fine at first. I was still working with him and "Chris" said we would try this again after I supplied pictures and measurements. The window replacements I paid for magically showed up in 2 weeks?? I had worked with "Chris from Oct 2019 thru January 2020. After January all communication stopped. Never once did he text or email to let me know that he stopped the claim. He never reached out and after 4 months I contacted him again for the 8th time and he said contact the manufacturer and its not his problem. I was hoping that the poor customer service environment at Jackson would have changed from 7 years ago. Sadly it hasn't. I have had 2 other other interactions with Jackson Lumber in 2012 that ended just as poorly. I'm not sure if the unprofessional atmosphere at this location is company wide or limited to this one location. Go ANYWHERE else.

This is my second experience with Dean's Carpet One in Manchester and I'll likely come back in the future when I replace the 2 other rooms in my house. They have a large selection of carpeting with experienced salespeople who can assist in selection by assessing your needs. I originally went in to look at hardwood (which they also sell) but my budget took me to carpet and I couldn't be happier with our selection. The pricing is reasonable, they have a wide range of pricing options, and they often have 12 month (or higher) financing available through a 0% credit card promotion. A recent promotion for 18 month financing prompted me to jump at my second room. The installers have been excellent in both circumstances. Very friendly, courteous and professional. They represent the company positively, performed the install with great care, and cleaned everything VERY well. They made sure I was satisfied before leaving. I feel that a company can be reasonably judged on how they handle conflict and I feel that Dean's does the right thing for their customers from my recent experience. I got an e-mail and mailer about a memorial day sale so drove an hour to get there and they were closed on the days of the sale. When I called after, Russell informed me of a miscommunication from corporate (they didn't know the sale was being advertised) and honored the pricing and financing rate for me. I knew what I wanted so did the entire balance of the transaction over the phone.

As devastating as our February house fire was, our experience with Reliable Restoration and…read moreRecovery and its parent company, Construction Services of New Hampshire, was much worse. In five months, they did not complete the restoration and cleanup or offer us a contract to rebuild our home. When we hired another contractor to rebuild our house, we found out they had not been billing the insurance company or seeking advance approval for their work. The bill they sent the insurance company after we hired a contractor included work they had never done, including removing insulation from the basement, removing vinyl floor from the bathroom - it had a tile floor and they did not remove it - removing insulation from the basement, and removing a wood floor. Although they promised to return our belongings from storage, they twice reneged, holding on to our possessions for six weeks as leverage in their negotiations with the insurance company. Many items were returned without having been cleaned or damaged. We should have known better. The contract for the cleanup, demo, and storage gave no timeline, no list of services, and no prices; instead it put the obligation on the customer without guaranteeing anything. "Restoring peace of mind." Is an ironic motto.

We looked at many types of tile but found some very nice Italian "Tuscan Paprika" 13x13" for $1.99 sf. / $37.61 case which is a great deal. We also got matching grout and the cement. Tim, the customer service guy there was very helpful and answered my many questions. We got a great deal. At least I think so. We compared prices at Homo Depot and the new Haverhill Lowes and the tile was so expensive I nearly had a stroke looking at the prices. Now the next stage: The self installation! HELP!

He really helped us find the best carpet for our home, tolerated our crazy toddlers running around in the store and in our home, our barking dog :) and also installed our carpets to perfection. He even drove back to the store and rescheduled our second installation because he wanted to make sure the job was done right.
