Great service, delicious food, and this place looks amazing! Best lunch deal's in Tuscaloosa!

    MVP Chicken Tenders

Amazing service and great gluten free chicken tenders! Our food came out super fast and was great tasting. The fries had a seasoning on them that's super flavorful! Will definitely be back!

Coworker and I tried lunch here today and were very impressed. Friendly service and very good food. I went with the Italian Stallion Sammie with au jus. The sandwich was delicious and comes with chips. It was a very nice size and I didn't leave hungry. Definitely recommended.

Best place I've ate at in a long time. Appetizers were delicious. The sandwich I ordered was huge and amazing. Nothing is more than $15 or so. Service was also top notch. Can't wait to go back.

    The Melt

The Ambiance is nicely done. There's two halves to the place. A music side and a sports side. At 1pm we sat immediately and were instantly waited on. The staff were extremely friendly! Appetizer was hot and delicious! We ordered the Spinach Artichoke dip with firecracker crackers! Yummy! The Melt was amazing! Great job!

Food was delicious. The owner Cliff is super nice. I highly recommend trying this place.

Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, impeccable service. Grilled chicken, bacon, ranch, and lettuce wrap with chips and cheesy bread! Yum!

Great food with impeccable service and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for all. The theme of decades opens the door for music of many genres (when there's not a Bama Football game on, of course.)

    Good beer.

Walked in on a Friday night, NO WAIT! The service and food were excellent. I had their Debris sandwich w/ slaw as a side. Wife had a quesadilla. I was actually a bit surprised as the food was really good. Great service too.

Great food. Great owners. Service is always excellent and food is superior for the price. All sauces are homemade and a lot of care and thought are put into the menu.

Quesadillas Chicken Chipotle and Jalapeño ranch slaw

The jalapeño ranch slaw is amazing! Paired with the quesadillas and it was filling and delicious!

We come in regularly late night with a large group of 9-10 people and it is always a great experience. The vibe in this place is great and is like a small town Hard Rock Cafe. The food was delicious and our servers are always very attentive! Definitely a great place and we will continue to come back!

It's been a few years since my last visit, but back when I worked closer to downtown, this place was a weekly (sometimes twice-a-week) lunch ritual. Man, this spot is awesome for lunch! Now, if you try to come on a weekend--good luck. The place is packed to the gills, and the folks lined up outside aren't there for the turnip greens, if you catch my draft, I mean drift. They're here for the other "festivities"... the bar. But let's talk food. Whether you're circling your favorite meat and three combo or grabbing something off their regular menu, you can't go wrong. Their meat and three is like stepping straight into Granny's kitchen on a cool October Sunday afternoon. I went with the country fried steak, Caesar salad, fried okra, turnip greens, and--because I'm not a quitter--a helping of blackberry cobbler. Every bite was fantastic. My wife went with the fried catfish, paired with black-eyed peas, fried okra, and of course, the same irresistible blackberry cobbler to top it off. Her meal was every bit as delicious as mine (not that I didn't try to sneak a bite or two for quality assurance purposes). The background music today was a dose of pop, with Ingrid Michaelson's The Way I Am setting a nice, mellow vibe--pretty fitting for a lunch date with my wife. Soft and pleasant... though, if I'm being honest, I'd trade Ingrid for a little Metallica or any one of those glorious 80s hair bands in a heartbeat. Nothing says "meat and three" like a little Pour Some Sugar on Me, right? These days, a meal I used to enjoy weekly has become a rare treat, but today's visit reminded me why I loved it so much. The outdoor seating is perfect for a crisp fall or breezy spring day, TVs are plastered all around so you won't miss your favorite team (Roll Tide, of course), and there's even a pool table if you're feeling like hustling a game or two. The lunch staff is fast and friendly, and if you haven't experienced this Tuscaloosa gem, do yourself a favor and step inside for their lunch menu. Just maybe leave the late-night crowd to the younger folks--they've got more energy (and stronger eardrums) for that scene than I do!

Glad we did, I ordered the fish and chips, they were hot and good. The chips were waffle fries and really good too. They had one huge plus going for them, angry orchard on tap!!!!!! Saturday afternoon, my wife and I stopped by Avenue Pub on Rice Mine Road before heading to the…read moreAlabama basketball game. Avenue Pub has long been one of my favorite spots in the Tuscaloosa food scene, and this visit reminded me exactly why. This was our first visit since spring, and the biggest change we noticed was the menu. It's been expanded with more options, which is great--but let's be honest, when you already have a favorite, change doesn't stand much of a chance. I stuck with my go-to: the Chicken Club. Once again, it delivered. One of the best chicken sandwiches you'll find in Tuscaloosa lives right under this roof, crispy, flavorful, and stacked just right. No regrets. No notes. The only evidence left behind was a clean plate and a messy napkin. My wife went with the Crispy Fish Sandwich, and it was equally impressive. If these sandwiches don't reach down and tickle your tummy, nothing will. That's just science. Avenue Pub is usually buzzing wall-to-wall, but thanks to some less-than-cooperative weather, we were greeted by a lighter crowd at first. That didn't last long. As the afternoon rolled on, the place steadily filled up, always a good sign. Great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and consistently solid execution make Avenue Pub a dependable win. Expanded menu or not, I'll keep coming back, and I'll probably keep ordering that Chicken Club. Some things just don't need changing.

We sat at the bar and all the chairs at the bar are very uncomfortable and old. They each one we tried rocked back and fourth. It's a cool place to chill, have drinks, and play pool. In our opinion the only good food is the pizza and chicken quesadilla. The wings were ok, nothing special. The fries are ok, they just aren't what I like. I don't care for the seasoning, but that's just preference. The cheese sticks were horrible and tasted chalky. I've never had cheese sticks like that before. We would come back here to hang out and have a couple of drinks, but would only eat pizza or the quesadillas and pass on everything else The other weird thing was, we sat at the bar, ordered our food and did not have any alcoholic beverages. They would not submit our order until we paid for our food first. Normally you pay for food after you eat, but that's not the case here. Service was average.

However Rama Jama's might have been one of the worst experiences I've ever had with food quality. I genuinely can't imagine how someone would look at that hotdog and serve it to a customer. It wasn't even burnt from a grill I'm pretty sure this hotdog was being boiled since they opened. On top of that it cost 19 dollars for a black hotdog, a burger, and a side of fries (that don't come with the meal you have to pay extra). I did not get the chance to visit the stores, but I definitely will come back and visit soon. I came to the Venue for the Margarita Festival. It is a decent sized area that has nice seating and a small stage. The parking area is somewhat small, but luckily we were able to park next door and walk over. I will say for this hot summer day, I wish the Venue would've offered a few additional things: They didn't have enough shading. The only shad I noticed was under awnings and from the trees. I noticed that some of the picnic tables and chairs had umbrellas, but not all of them. Also I didn't see any misting areas and/or watering areas. They could do like they do at the ALABAMA games and have a huge cooler with the cheap cups and offer free water during events. Especially since this was an outside festival, water was definitely needed as I also didn't see where you could purchase water. Nonetheless, the Venue is a nice spot for events. I will have to look at their site to become more acquainted and see if they have any other events here.
