Guess they don't want free advertising their businesses booming without it! I still shop at Dillard's outlet there. But they have the entrance to the mall blocked off. Chuck Cheese has very slow busines. The manager told me they were trying to relocate to Eastchase Mall, Iguess it didn't work out. I honestly don't see how the mall is still open. I thought the rent a cops harassment was ignorant, aggressive and rude. As far as yelling at me about making photos was unprofessional and unfounded. There are no pictures or signs, forbidden photography within them all, and the code of conduct when you first walk into the mall like in a high school. It says nothing about such a rule. It mainly concentrates on violent behavior because they realize what kind of demographic population is shopping and hanging out there! Many of the kiosks in the middle are standing empty as you can see on the photos. Really? Getting bent out of shape. It's really funny to me because there weren't even any people there for me to make pictures of. The place was totally dead, and this was in the late afternoon on a Friday. Over time, competition from places like The Summit, the rise of online shopping, store closures (Sears, Rich's, Macy's and Belk Home and Kids), then the shootings in 2018 and 2020 led to a huge decline.For a while, it felt like the Galleria would not be able to recover. Well, now it's 2026, and the popularity of the Galleria is rising again. The mall feels brighter, cleaner and safer, due to improved management and security. It's a great spot to spend time indoors during AL's extreme heat, cold or rain (it offers covered parking too). Best of all, the iconic features remain, like the large American flag and classic carousel in the central atrium, and (best of all) Santa's workshop during the holiday season, and make it a fun alternative for young families and grandparents. So if you haven't been to the Galleria in a while, give it a try. It is worth a visit again.

This former church has been turned into a great restaurant with live music. There's plenty of tables and a bar with a huge screen for sports. The band sets up in the corner up front. The food here is all small plates. Since there were 4 of us, we ordered quite a few. Some favorites were the Pork Belly Tacos, Steak Tacos, Chicken Salad Sliders, and the Steak A La Plancha. Together, with nice glasses of wine, this was an excellent dinner! The restaurant is off the beaten path from downtown and parking on the street is easy.
