I am absolutely disgusted by the treatment I received at DeCicco's Market today. I was kicked out of the store and cursed at -- simply for having my legally registered service animal with me. I calmly showed my registration and explained everything, but the staff didn't care at all. They treated me like a criminal and yelled at me to leave in front of other customers. This was blatant discrimination and a total violation of ADA rights. I've never been so humiliated or disrespected in my life. I used to shop here regularly, but after today, I will never step foot in DeCicco's again. I hope they get serious consequences for how they treat people with disabilities. Edit: In response to your reply -- how about you have some accountability instead of just lying. So you went and asked every employee if this occurred? Obviously not. What's with the low reviews? I kept hearing from people that it's not as good as the non-family market DeCiccos found in Armonk and Chappaqua, but folks, this spot is amazing, with solid weekly discounts. This is a frustrating place because they have two prices for most of fhe food. There is the prices that is on the shelf and then a second price that is alsays higher on a tiny sticker placed randomly on the item itself. Something that is usually $8.00/$10.00 most other places was $12.99! The price on the shelf said 10 the small sticker said $12.99. I got like 6 items and it was about $50. FFS! WOW! Haven't seen a family run store like this in a long time. Clean, friendly staff and nice selection. I was able to find the honey I use and a great selection of Bob's Red Mill. Meat, although I did not buy yet, looks fresh and the seafood has been awesome so far. Three trips in and I'm sure I'm their new regular. Don't believe this hype.. This place is waaaaay overpriced. I cant believe I am saying this but your better off going to shop wrong I mean shop rite has waaay better prices and selections I know this joint is a ma and pa type of place but man, jeez oh man lower the damn prices! Although prices are higher for some things vs other markets, they do have some great specials. The staff is very accommodating especially the manager. I really like the fact they offer a complete line of pre-made dinners and smaller portions. They have single servings of the eggplant Florentine and instead of being forced to buy the two per pack option. read more

I live in Katonah this market is definitely convenient. Wide selection of dairies, vegetables, meat and their pastry department is amazing. Prices are in the high level but so is the quality and Variety so I am not complaining . Also I really enjoy their hot food stand and the soups are amazing. Overall I do really like this market it has also great parking space. Mostly very young kids working which is really nice to see. read more

Edit review 3/11/2020 I used to shop at the Katonah store once a week, even though prices were higher than Shop-rite and Stop&Shop, then I realized they were charging me sales tax on non-taxable items, for small amts you may not notice it but when purchasing the larger trays of their baked ziti, penne vodka or eggplant parm, its a few dollars each time and it adds up. I went to Customer Service desk and told them of the error but they could do nothing and told me to call the owner Christina De Cicco. I called her at the beginning of February, emailed her several times too, quoted her NY state tax law showing that items bought cold in deli are not taxable and she is ignoring my calls and refusing to refund the taxes I was charged. I buy the same items at DeCicco&sons in Millwood( run by different family members) and I told Christina I am never charged sales tax on the exact same items, but she refuses to acknowledge this. That is totally unacceptable and rude to ignore me. So You have lost a customer and I hope people will stop shopping there and go to DeCicco and Sons instead . they have nicer people and don't cheat you! Also, if you buy an item on sale she charges sales tax on the full price of item not the discounted price, another error with their calculations. read more

This review is for the bakery department. I have had a second bad experience with the Chocolate tipped horn bakery item. The first about a month ago was so hard that we could not eat it. I returned it to the store for a refund. Today I decided to try my favorite item again. The associate bagged it and when I opened it was hard as a rock. I tried to micro it and took a small bite which chipped my bottom tooth. Called the store and spoke to Dawn who offered a refund or another item. This is totally unacceptable and it is the second time with the same product. I will not shop the store again. read more

I usually shop at DeCicco &Sons in Brewster, a store that I really like. Last week, however, it was more convenient for me to stop in at the DeCicco family market in Katonah. The experience was not a good one, and I will avoid going back there. Aside from the fact that the store is very cramped, there was a particularly bad experience at the deli. I waited for what I considered to be a long time, while I listened to two young men (whose backs were to me), having a conversation that contained an assortment of swear words, including the queen mother of them all, the 'f' word. One of the men turned around and saw me, and rudely took my order, all the while swearing (again the 'f' word) at a woman employee, who told him he didn't have to work there. I needed more cold cuts, but decided against it. On top of everything else, I think the ham that I bought made me sick. read more

My name is Dennis Thomas. I have been a resident of Katonah for 8 years now. Not just another resident, but a frequent shopper at Deciccos. Yesterday I was confronted by a staff member who work in customer service, white/ caucasian, perhaps not a real blonde but blonde hair. Her complaint was that I was not welcome to shop in your establishment on a daily basis. Behind her remarks I swallowed a knot. That's how overwhelmed I was. As a black in this community I take great issue with this matter. She was very bold to voice her position. We both were surrounded by other customers. So of course they heard clearly what she said. I did not go to manager because I was really hurt and did not understand. A few minutes before I ask the manager to price a bottle of Snapple and I noticed he did look at her before he answered but maybe I was paranoid. In other words I did not know if he was aware of any of this. At the end of the day I would like to continue as a shopper. I have confidence that this matter will be resolved. You can shop the sales and get great deals here, however, the produce can use some help. On multiple occasions I've had spoiled fruit, potatoes & lettuce. I would expect that risk at other larger chains, but not DeCicco. Either way, I continue to shop their sales frequently read more

This store has opened in Katonah. Overpriced with many staff who are unhelpful with a "couldn't care less" attitude. One employee couldn't get off his cellphone to answer a question. Surprising lack of many basic items. Perhaps they will get things straightened out, but I would avoid going there now. read more
