Owner was disrespectful to a veteran and his family. Cold food. Incorrect food. We were even given someone else's food at one point. Crappy service due to poor management. When they tried to talk to the manager she blamed the brand new server... when they tried to talk to the owner he became combative and rude. We have lived here for over a year and decided to finally check this place out. It was a misty fall afternoon and we sat on the deck. Beautiful location. Food! Meh. No grilled dinner options except on a salad which is what my husband got. Nothing that would pull him back in. I got a bacon cheeseburger. Smaller that I thoroughly it would be served on a cold bun. After waiting at a table seated for an hour and a half, our food finally came out. We had 9 people in our party. My burger amd fries were ice cold. Others orders were wrong and one meal didn't come out at all. Everyone ate because we were starving. New waitress was left to fend for herself and messed things up. Management chose to throw her under the bus instead of taking charge and try to make it right. Refused to comp anything except my cold burger, which wasn't right either. Manager got belligerent and called us liars as he was told of the errors. Absolutely amazed that this man is a manager. Rude. Unprofessional. Food was mediocre at best. Very disappointing especially since our family had talked them up so highly. I feel poorly for their now soured experience as well. Thanks Willy. You're a real douche. I gave this place a 3rd try , the last one went like this , I got there around 2:00 and sat at the bar ordered a beer and finally ordered after getting a menu 10 min later , the Lady running the bar is overwhelmed too much to do instead of taking care of people sitting at the bar , I don't blame her , she was running back and forth from kitchen to bar mostly in the kitchen, 10 people running around like chickens with their heads cut off , ok on to my order I was starving and could have eaten cardboard with gravy , I ordered hamburger steak French fries and a salad , for appetizer I ordered Asian wings , the wings were excellent then after awhile I got my order , hamburger steak was warm, dry and chewy French fries were good salad never showed halfway through the meal the bartender asked if ok I said , but I needed my salad she said I'll get them to get it out , 20 minutes later I saw her again after I finished eating she said I'll get them to box up a salad for you , I laughed and said no just get me a check and take it off , then I got my bill and noticed the price was still the $10 . We discussed it and she took it off . Great location and beer sales must keep this place going because it's not the food . Two stars for the wings but ego in the management for either thinking they've got it all figured out or they really just don't know, if I owned that place I would hire a top notch kitchen manager read more

What a great place especially in a town this size. Food was very good. Had fried pickles, wings, pizza and chicken fingers. All were great! The location is one of the best I have been at. The layout, the view, the ambiance was great. We went for lunch on a Saturday and whoever built this place the craftmanship and how well thought out it was was VERY impressive. read more

The servers are wonderful and always bright and cheerful. The food, however, is greatly lacking. The buns are cold. The BBQ sandwich meat has no flavor. The baked beans are just a can of pork and beans opened up and served. So I asked for a side of fries. $4.15 for fries! Which were burned. I suggest you only go there for the wonderful view of Weiss Lake and a beer. Tip the servers good for their wonderful attitude. read more

This place is absolutely NICE looking. I love the setting and theme of it, especially when it's sitting on the lake. Unfortunately the managers are RUDE and disrespectful. The waitresses are really sweet and I've watch them getting treated awfully by the managers. The food taste like crap, I could make it 10xs better at home and their price is overrated. read more

Good atmosphere but the service and the people in charge are awful. I get that we were there on a busy Saturday night but when we stand at the bar waiting to order a drink for 40 minutes and the bar tender refuses to acknowledge your presence and serves people who come up after you have been standing there, isn't right. Then when you go to speak with the owner about it and he is very inconsiderate and doesn't apologize for the service that tells me that he does not care to keep business. Finally a decent place too eat on or near Weiss lake ! Great view really good ( bar food). Our group had Nachos, burgers and pizzas and all were top quality . I am really impressed with their pizza, very yummy with lots of options for toppings , and the cheese is great ! I will be recommending this place to all my friends and will definitely return, I have not said that about any other restaurant within a 20 mile radius . Good job, keep it up. read more

Saw this place and decided we would like to try it out since it wasn't too busy.when we went in the hostess gave me a buzzer to wait. There was only one table occupied out of about ten inside and half on the decks were empty. We waited about ten minutes as couples left, the people in front of us said they had been waiting about ten minutes before we got there and couldn't understand why no one was seating them with over half the tables empty and people leaving. We ate lunch at this restaurant. The view is wonderful and the decor is hip. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The menu is simple - pizza, wings, burgers and salad. We had a grilled chicken salad and hamburger. Our order came quickly and was good. We especially liked that our beers were served in frosty mugs. We do NOT recommend anyone from out of state to eat at this place. Not only do they humiliate their patrons, they serve sub-par food. My wife and I were passing through this area and decided to eat here since it has a very nice location. Needless to say, we were very displeased with our service and the waitress serving us. Not only did the waitress publicly humiliate my wife for her age (we're in our late 20s) but also involved the other patrons in the ludicrousness this waitress was trying to make. After being accused of having a fake ID, the waitress showed everyone my wife's personal information. Then proceeded to act ignorant to the bartending staff who brought our drinks anyway. I had my first experience at docks in decks on Memorial Day weekend. A little back story I'm a veteran with a service dog. When we arrived the setting seemed to be really great. We made our way past the outside deck and down to the dock. My friends and I were on the dock around a hours or so with my service lab "Stella" by my side. We were told by the bartender at the dock that the dog could not go upstairs, not wanting to make a big deal about it my friends and I stayed on the dock. Later we were approached by a very disrespectful gentleman who said said the dog had to go. The guy made a big scene walking down the ramp. I informed him that the dog was a service dog. He then then began to ask me what service was the dog trained for. I let him know what the service dog was trained to do. After he wanted all mine and the service dogs information. I declined because I believe it is completely disrespectful and against the law to ask for this type of documentation. We were then belittled and insulted by the owner of the establishment and forced to leave. I will never go to the place again, and to top it off on Memorial Day weekend. It very clear that this establishment does not support our troops over seas. GO TO JAKES ON THE LAKE . read more

We absolutely love Decks and Docks. Good Pizza and burgers plus cold draft beer. The wait staff is great and very friendly. We have been there six times and every time has been a very good experience. If you are at Lake Weiss this is a must visit place. They also have a dock side bar and lots of TVs for watching football. read more

My family and I chose to eat at Decks and Docks to support a local business over a chain restaurant. We ate there on Saturday May 30th and my wife's burger came out cold. The server was great to offer to remove it from our check. We also spent roughly another $100 on tshirts. We decided to give them another try today. We patiently waited the 45min wait, then patiently waited yet another roughly 30mins or so to get our food. When the food came out is was too cold to eat..ALL 4 PLATES! The server was super understanding and got the manager. The manager came out and said the owner offered us half off to eat our cold food or to remake it in 5 mins. Of course we took the remake offer. We ate our food paid our full price, tipped the server and left the restaurant. As we walked out my wife ran into a high school friend. We stood there catching up with her and the owner came out and yelled at me directly asking if I was standing out front telling people not to eat there because it sucked!!!! Everyone that was standing there told him that no such thing happened. He then directed us all to leave his property. He also blamed us the patrons of his establishment for HIS FOOD BEING COLD..BECAUSE APPARENTLY WE WERE THE EXCEPTION TO THE RULE FOR HIS ESTABLISHMENT. THAT OUT OF ALL OF THE CUSTOMERS THAT EAT THERE WE JUST HAPPENED TO BE THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO WERE SERVED FOOD THAT WOULD GET HIM SHUT DOWN BY HEALTH DEPARTMENT STANDARDS!!! 2 DAYS IN A ROW I MIGHT ADD..Where was the guy who was sitting there telling us to leave yesterday because his pizza was inedible?..HMMMMM?? Serving food that missed the microwave on it's way to us is no way to operate. And then yelling at 2 families with small children in the parking lot and telling them to leave over something that wasn't even true! Shame!! I will hold my word that my family will NEVER return to this place again! read more

So here goes the condensed version. Put our name down to wait 45 minutes to seat a party of 13. No big deal right until we go to the bar to grab a few drinks while we wait. Told it would be a 15 minute wait at the bar for 2 bottles of beer, 2 shots, and a Jack and coke. Once again no big problem we can deal cause we are already waiting right? Get seated at 2 different tables splitting the party once yet again no big deal we will manage. My table waited 20 or more minutes for 3 waters and a sweet tea. Never got asked if we wanted an appetizer planned on ordering but oh well. Waited another 20 minutes before we ever seen our server to order our dinner. Asked one time after being there an hour and a half about out food. Waited almost 30 minutes for our ticket and a to go box. Our whole transaction from start to finish was 3 hours.
