Day 1: Came over for a consultation. (We previously had our closet sliding doors removed and needed a new one) Day of installation: 2 men came over to do the work. ($1500) They disassembled some parts of the closet (as said on day 1). Painted and put together sliding doors. When they completed and left. I didn't have to sign any papers for completion. When I went out for a walk in the evening, I noticed there were things laid out on the side of my house. To my surprise, no one said anything about leaving garbage. Scotty installed new doors throughout my home about five years ago. The tension spring in the door handle on the door leading to the garage broke and no longer functioned properly. The handle was high quality. It simply just gets a lot of heavy use. I called Scotty and asked about repairing it or if he had a matching handle. He let me know that he can no longer get the specific handle but would check his inventory to see if he has this older model still sitting around. We needed to replace a couple of cracked doors - the cheapest hollow doors that come with a new developers house! Scottee come in and examined our needs, was so knowledgeable about house construction, doors used, sizes, now I know why bog standard Lowes doors need to be trimmed! Good quote for half the house this round - some doors solid, some not - chose design. Two weeks later as agreed, Roberto and nephew turned up - used garage space and entrance to to trim new doors to exact size of old - we used original hardware and all fitted perfectly. Done in a day. The prima paint coat is actually very good - so we haven't painted yet - will do other half of doors in house next, then get painter in to do all at once, plus some other jobs. Scotty and his crew are extremely professional and did a wonderful job on our crown mouldings and baseboards and mouldings around the doors. They took care to keep us informed all the way through the job. When tricky corners and transitions came up they were very good at solving the problems. I especially like how the soffit in the family room was handled, it fixed an existing problem that we had had since the room was painted. They were very clean and professional throughout the job. They cleaned everything each day and worked with very little disruption to our daily routine. We asked him to do the job in stages so we could afford to do the entire house and this was not a problem for them. We had Scotty design a new mantel around our existing fireplace and again we were very happy with the results. When we decided to change the color of our doors Scotty priced out painting as opposed to replacing the doors. Together we decided that painting the doors was more economical and he even recommended a painter that we were very happy with. After several months there was a slight problem with the crown moulding and when we called Scotty he very nicely came out and had has crew repair it. Later we found out that it was caused by water damage and they still repaired it at no charge. They were able to match the color of the door to the attic to my hardwood floor, and I requested an off-white and panel similar to closet doors for bathroom. They are SPECTACULAR!!
