    Left garbage behind
    Julie L.

Day 1: Came over for a consultation. (We previously had our closet sliding doors removed and needed a new one) Day of installation: 2 men came over to do the work. ($1500) They disassembled some parts of the closet (as said on day 1). Painted and put together sliding doors. When they completed and left. I didn't have to sign any papers for completion. When I went out for a walk in the evening, I noticed there were things laid out on the side of my house. To my surprise, no one said anything about leaving garbage. (Including paint can and etc) I emailed him about what I saw and asked him if this was normal. His reply: Hi Julie: That stuff is not from our job. There was no wood for us to remove on the closet. That wood is an old frame from a hinged door. Not sure what is in the box. Scotty I replied it was from the job. He replied back that he was going to ask his guy and never got back to me. My issue: Don't leave garbage hidden on my property. Either take it away or give me a heads up! Now, I have to clean up after you.

I had a fantastic experience replacing the closet doors in my two guest bedrooms with Scotty and his crew. I was having trouble finding a company that had the doors and would also do the installation, so was relieved to find them. Scotty came over and took measurements, helped me pick out doors, and the had them installed one week later. Installation took under three hours and his crew was friendly and professional. Would highly recommend them, and would use them again for sure.

Scotty is great. Despite a wildfire burning near his home, he came to do a free estimate because it was convenient for us. He was professional, very forthright about the best option for our situation rather than up selling more expensive alternatives. He showed us pictures of what to expect, he had hardware samples on hand. We wanted extra services and he was more than accommodating to provide those. He came with the crew on the day of the install. They were professional, efficient and clean. The final result exceeded our expectations. We love our new doors.

    Custom barn door

Couldn't be happier with my beautiful, custom barn door. Scotty was great. His installers were very professional and did a great job.

Beautiful solid barn door with modern aluminum handle.

Scotty and his team did an amazing job on my barn door. I was very specific with what I wanted and he helped me achieve that goal. I wanted a very rustic solid barn door with a very modern blingy handle and he got me exactly what I wanted. I am very happy. I posted a couple of the photos of my very lovely door.

Ask the Community - Deco Door and Crown

I have custom exterior wood windows (low E, solarban 70 dual paned glass IGUs) that need to be replaced. Are you able to do this?

Hello: thanks for the response. Our company does not install windows.

What is the lead time to order solid pre hung doors and install?

We build our own door jambs. Install 7-10- days average.

They were here for 3 days. They communicated everything, were always on time and left everything just as they had found it or better. They were so knowledgeable and professional and everything looks so great. It looks like a new house. I just can't say enough about these guys.

I very much regret choosing The Window Factory for my relatively-simple window changeout…read more The Window Factory (TWF) finally completed work for a 12-week contract signed Jan 17 on Oct 29 -- 40+ weeks, 34 of which were due to TWF's mistakes that they "take full responsibility for". Eyal's false claim in his response to this review that "we fixed it" is based on TWF's claim that the discount provided at the time of contract signing to induce me to sign means they can take any amount of time to complete the job. Therefore, completing the 12-week job after 40 weeks while providing zero compensation for the delay is "fixing it". Presumably TWF believes they are entitled to take any amount of time to complete your work if they give you a discount as well, even if they "take full responsibility" for the delay. Communication with TWF was abysmal, including (but very much not limited to) 4 ignored emails and 2 ignored phone calls leading up to my original review. Eyal finally responded only after I posted my review and offered me $250 if I would remove that review, though TWF offered nothing in compensation for being 34 weeks late if I would not remove the review. I suspect that may be a good indication of TWF's priorities. James (sales person) was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and that demeanor in the sales meeting was a substantial deciding factor in choosing TWF over a competitor with an offer very similar to the discounted offer I was provided by TWF. He continued being helpful up until recently, addressing communications and operations roadblocks surely outside the main responsibilities of a sales role. Unfortunately, James does not manufacture nor install the windows (of course), and I found those aspects of TWF to be unacceptable. Remember that your full experience with TWF will not be solely with James.

I highly recommend this business to anyone :)

(This review includes a response to the business owner's reply)…read more I had a deeply disappointing experience with Paul's Windows, and I want to share it so that other homeowners know what to expect before working with this company. I reached out for a small bedroom window replacement and had one key requirement: that the new window, once installed, provide a minimum clear opening height of 13 inches. The sales associate, Art, confirmed via text that the manufacturer (Crystal Pacific) said it would: 13.1875", in fact. That was fine by me. But when I asked for that specification to be confirmed in the contract, in writing, Art refused. Let me be clear: I wasn't asking for a personal warranty on the product. I simply wanted confirmation that the installed window, as ordered and managed by Paul's Windows, would meet the functional requirement I had clearly communicated. Art repeatedly deflected, referring to "what the manufacturer said," but was unwilling to take responsibility for the result. When I asked for accountability, he became dismissive and eventually walked away from the job. I contacted Paul directly, hoping for a more professional response. Instead, I received a generic brush-off and a claim that the window wouldn't meet the specs, which contradicts what their own sales associate had already confirmed. Worse, Paul didn't acknowledge or engage with any of the valid concerns I raised around basic customer service, transparency, or professional responsibility. Ultimately, I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was hiring a company to manage a job and deliver a specific result. If something went wrong, say, the manufacturer provided a window that didn't meet the spec, it would be on the contractor to resolve it, not on me to go chase down the supplier. That's what any responsible company would do. But Paul's Windows made it clear they don't see it that way. If you're okay with vague communication, contractors who won't stand behind their own work, and potentially being left to deal with problems on your own, maybe this company is fine. But if you want clarity, professionalism, and accountability in writing, then look elsewhere. § Paul's response below is a classic damage control move -- polite on the surface, but full of deflection and quiet rewriting of events. To clarify: the window in question would have met the required 13" clear opening. That wasn't in dispute. Art, their sales associate, confirmed that in writing and was fully prepared to proceed with the job -- until I asked for a simple written accountability. That's the moment everything fell apart. Paul's follow-up misrepresents the timeline and sidesteps the core issue -- not whether the window would fit, but whether the company was willing to stand behind the result they were being paid to deliver.
