Around six weeks ago I visited this store several times and all I could think about every time I left was "Oscar the Grouch" from Sesame Street. Mike is the most unpleasant small business owner that I have ever experienced. Whenever a small business owner doesn't acknowledge or greet you when they look dead at you that should be a sign to take your business elsewhere. I don't know if he recently experienced a death in his family or was having a really bad month, but I do know that I feel incredibly sorry for his wife/partner or whoever resides in his home. His entire disposition is trash. It's unfortunate that it cost his employee to lose a sale that was minutes away. Even more unfortunate for him is that my sale would have resulted in 14 additional sales. I was renovating one of my properties and I started with the smallest one and have since moved on to the second of my six properties. The other sales were referrals, which I now sent to the business that installed my windows. Thankfully I was able to order my windows through another company, Frontier, and the customer service was top notch. Every individual I encountered from sales, scheduling, delivery, and accounting, provided the best service with a great attitude. I waited for my window installation to be completed before sharing so I could compare the experiences. I definitely would NOT recommend Aggressive Sash & Door to anyone simply because of Mike's overall poor demeanor that reflects he doesn't need business. Aggressive is a good way to describe this business. I went in and they were very dismissive and not helpful at all. If you are looking for ideas and help for your project, this is not the place. You need to come ready knowing what material, wood grain, color etc, otherwise they make you feel like a nuisance if you need guidance. Not friendly at all. I asked for brochures and he said I could have some, but he didn't even bother to get them. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a woman but he obviously didn't want my business. Aggressive was the third window vendor that came to our home for a quote. But I knew they were the company to go with 30 seconds after Mike first walked out the door. Why? Because Mike knocked again just after he had left! As he was walking back to his car, Mike noticed an measurement oddity in one of the seven windows he looked at and wanted to remeasure. For the record, he was correct, but that sort of diligence sold me (along with the knowledge he offered during his visit.) They also have a great showroom and Mike showed me more than I even wanted to know but everything he told me was applicable to the job at hand. The crew that did the work was IMMACULATE and faster than expected. They answered the few questions we had were extremely respectful to our home and privacy. We could not be happier. read more

Mike and Aggressive were recommended to me by an employee of Milgard Windows in Simi. After enduring multiple sales pitches and recommendations of how to replace what we wanted but, "more importantly" to the sales guys how to update our ENTIRE house, Mike was a refreshing change! He listened to what we wanted, came out to take basic measurements, then gave us a true estimate. He made suggestions as to the styles, but when we declined an upgrade he respected our request. His estimate was slightly lower than a previous company who had sent someone out to do an estimate then claimed they didn't work in our area(one of the flaky companies we also endured). When we gave him the go ahead he came out and did a more precise measurement and realized he could save us more money with a standard measure door and a slight modification to the frame - which was installed incorrectly back in the 90s. He even secured an EXCELLENT stucco/patch company to finish off the work and make the windows look like they always belonged. We are looking to replace our entrance door and will return to Mike and Aggressive. read more

I make my living as a sliding glass door repairman. Some of the parts I need for older doors are just not made anymore. The only way I have to get them is by taking them off of old doors that have been replaced. Aggressive Sash and Door is in the business of selling and installing new doors and windows. They bring the doors they take out back to their shop, where the aluminum can be recycled and the glass disposed of. They very kindly let me come by and take whatever items that could be of use to me. They do not have to let me do this, there is nothing in it for them. They are just being nice. read more

They installed a French door out to our patio from a living room door and stucco patched the exterior. I like to feel absolutely sure about any large purchase or changes to the house that are going to be permanent so I went out and received estimates from 7 different companies. Aggressive Windows is the best widow company I've worked with in the past 20 years. Mike, the owner is a great guy and knows his trade. He measures the window openings and stucco thickness perfectly, so the windows install easily and look great. I have some irregular shaped trapezoid windows which I assumed I would need to get glass inserts for instead of a traditional framed window, but mike came up with a solution that I went for. They came out looking so much better than my original plan. But the best thing about mike is that he really cares about his customers which is rare these days. Milgard sold me a defective window and the defect wasn't discovered until after the windows was already installed. The issue was that the window wouldn't lock, which Is not a minor issue. I contacted milgard and they gave me the runaround for 3months and after all that, they decided they were NOT going to fix it. They wanted me to order and pay for a brand new window (note: this window cost $1000). I contacted mike and explained the situation, and he fought with milgard for another 3 months but finally he got them to agree to replace the defective window. Not many contractors would got to bat for a customer and fight such a lengthy battle especially months after the sale. I was so happy he got them to replace the window I sent mike a thank you card and $100 bill. He decided to use the money to take his crew to lunch. He's just a real 'stand up' guy which is hard to find these days, especially in the construction industry. Aggressive is the only window/door company that I recommend to my friends and family. read more

After few hours of waiting, I called back and he told me he had a "minute" for my phone call. Their website said clearly, "call to schedule your FREE in Home estimate. When I told them I need to have an estimate to replace some windows. Juan very rude told me that they don't provide with that kind of services. I am wondering who is the owner and if they have knowledge of how bad their employees treat the potential customers. 0 in customer services. read more

My experience with their salesperson Juan: I gave him the dimensions that I needed for my front door, his quote came back for the wrong dimensions. No problem, everybody makes mistakes. After a few emails back and forth I called him to get a couple of quotes over the phone. He was with a customer then, and said he would call me right back. Fair enough. Two days later he did not call me, I decided to call him. I asked him to give me some quotes from the online catalog, he said he would send me the catalog so I can find doors in my dimensions and call him back when I know the model number. I said, let's look together and get the quotes now since we finally get to talk. He said again he wants send me the catalog and I have to look myself, since it's my job to find a door that comes in my dimensions and tell him the model # for the quote. I said I wanted to speed up the process and for him to spend 10 minutes with me on the phone helping me find a door. He said he had spent more then ten minutes already (not by my clock.) I said the door would cost a few thousand $, if he was not helpful now before selling me the door, how about if I have a problem with the job, down the line... He said maybe Aggressive doors is not the company for me, I should buy with some other company. As for the 5 star rating on Yelp, something is fishy, it does not concur with how some of their sale people are treating their customers.... read more

I have gotten Milgard windows from ASD since 2012 and also Emtek door locksets. Over the last 7 years I have purchased about 14 different sized house windows, including a half moon window above our front door. I do repeat business with this company because they are the best to work with, have good knowledge, lots of in-store samples, and have very good pricing, and they work with quality vendors!! I have had excellent customer service from Juan, Mike, and Ernie! I see a few Yelp reviews have knocked the customer service, but I am here to say, these guys are VERY HELPFUL and take care of you. Have there been some issues? Yes. Was it their fault? No. It was the manufacture's fault. Did ASD help fix things and make it right? YES!! I had a lockset that wasn't working right and Juan took care of it and coordinated a new one with Emtek. I had a half moon window that was the wrong size, Juan took care of it and coordinated with Milgard. On one other occasion, I did a Milgard rush order with Juan & Mike at 4pm on Monday for a kitchen window, and by Friday morning, it was in my hand, and installed Friday afternoon. BAM !! Another example, I had a competitive bid for 10 Milgard windows, Mike came back with a fair bid that was a tad higher, BUT, I chose to work with him/them because I trust and rely on their business and had the windows in 2 weeks, whereby the Big Box store was 4 weeks. Other smaller window/door companies are somewhat of a joke, with them NOT getting back to you, or not providing proper information and incorrect quotes. Not these guys!! They know their stuff!! It is my opinion and more helpful that the customer be somewhat informed and educated on what it is they are wanting because there are sooo many choices and details to be aware of, and ASD will help you along the way with their input and expertise. THIS IS WHAT THEY DO and they are still in business for many years now when others have closed their doors!! I come back to these guys BECAUSE of their customer service and personal touch. You might be able to find cheaper elsewhere, but you get what you pay for. If you are in the market for windows / doors / locksets, etc...you should visit these guys at ASD!!! read more

You should definitely buy windows and doors from this company. First of all, ASD has been in the west valley for a very long time. Secondly, they bid the job fairly and reasonably.No upsell, no pressure. Additionally, Mike came to our house and really helped us decide what window styles, design, and functionality would work best for our house. We also needed a bathroom door that has a window for ventilation replaced. This is not a standard door and finding one with a window is impossible. I know I scrolled the internet and big box doors for weeks. ASD fabricated a steel door with an inset window and installed it with the frame, threshold, and interior molding. It looks incredible! Working with them was so easy. Mike ordered the windows/doors and within two 1/2 weeks his in-house installation crew (!) were installing them. I came home from work and my house looked amazing! I was sort of nervous about the whole process but Nathan Woods, the owner, made me feel comfortable and informed. He came over to take measurements himself and was very accommodating with my busy schedule. He emailed me the quote a few hours later and we set a date for installation. He kept me informed about the delivery and installation. When the day of the installation arrived, the crew was right on time. The end result was amazing and I am thoroughly impressed. They even gave me 2 options of handles for my sliding doors. They advised to try them out and if I wanted to switch out the handles of the sliding doors to one or the other, call back and let them know which one I prefer and they'd come out and change them for me. We were very pleased with this company. We bought our front door from them and had them install it. These guys were helpful, patient and professional through the whole process. It took three visits and lots of time for me to choose the door and glass. Mike was very patient and helpful. He came out the day of the installation to make sure everyone was on the same page and all my questions were answered. The guys did a great job installing the door. They covered all the furniture and vacuumed up the mess when they left. I didn't have to clean up after them. They were friendly and polite while they did the job. We used Aggressive Sash and Door to replace all windows in our home, 18 in total. Mike was quick to respond to our request for an estimate. He offered the best bid, by far, not just in price but also in quality of the product and on the speed of completion. He answered all our questions, patiently and informatively, and helped us choose the style and installation that best suited our home. He came twice to measure the windows and was very accommodating with the appointment for the day of the installation. The windows arrived to our home the day before the installation was to take place (the delivery guys from Milgard were surprised that we could have got the 18 windows so fast). On the installation date, Mike together with Lupe and his crew arrived promptly at 7am and stated working right away. Lupe and his crew did an impressive work; it was amazing to see such exceptionally choreographic installation job. They were done before 5pm. They even did some impromptu job in removing some old shutters and replacing the molding. They were great! Because the old windows frames were removed, there were some stucco patches to be done. Mike was kind enough to find us someone to do this job, and it was done shortly after, Lupe diligently came back to finish up caulking. All in all, our windows are the envy of our neighbors. Mike was articulate in describing different options, unbiased in providing recommendations, and prompt in providing an estimate, and the price couldn't be beat. Their team of 5 installers worked independently and yet in tandem with each other, producing an efficient, well oiled machine. In 7ish hours, they installed 13 windows and a 10 foot slider and left the interior and exterior clean. They did not rush; they were simply proficient and deft in their skills. Any one of them could answer questions, and Edgar was attentive to any concerns that I might have had. I realize now that, when shopping for windows, the installation plays a critical part that determines quality. Great windows poorly installed would be of no good. We went to the store and Ernie the showroom manager was very knowledgeable and really spent time with us walking around, showing us everything, and answering all of our questions. When we finally settled on what we wanted (vinyl retrofit), he came and took measurements, ordered the windows and set the installation date. Everything happened as he said it would-no delays, no funny business. The windows were delivered to the house the day before installation, and the next day the guys came and started working right away. They were done in a day, as promised.
